Exceeded expectations
5/5

Our African safari experience exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, Simon took care of everything . Our trip was seamless ..thoughtful planning, knowledgeable guides, and true attention to detail.

Our guide Peter and Bernard were knowledgeable. Their knowledge of the wildlife, local culture, and terrain made every game drive both exciting and educational. We were able to see the animals up close in a way that felt respectful and authentic including unforgettable moments watching wildlife cross right in front of our vehicle.

The accommodations, coordination, and overall hospitality made us feel completely taken care of. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we would highly recommend this company to anyone considering a safari adventure.

Personal and proffessional excellent service
5/5

From our first contact with Kelvin at Goldfinch we had confidence in his approach . He was always quick to respond and would fully answer questions and queries and giving advice when necessary and adjusting our itineary accordingly. We found Goldfinch to be excellent value for money when we compared them to other operators.
We went for a private 2 person mid range/luxury safari and trip to Zanzibar.

The safari was 5 days. Every day was incredible, our guide Abu was fantastic he was polite, friendly proffessional and knowledgable.

We saw animals in abundance and at close range
All our accommodation either lodges or tented camps were excellent, very comfortable, clean, great facilities and food.
Did the Balloon safari which was also great and the 8 days in Zanzibar was organised very well staying in two different areas but both hotels chosen were excellent.
Kelvin met us at the start of our trip, again im the middle and at the end
He was always available via email and alwsys responded promptly adjusting anything we requested
Would definately recommend and use again
Felt we got a very proffessiomsl personal service throughout
Thank you.

We had a great driver, Eric.
5/5

We observed many different animals, including zebras, rhinos, giraffes, elephants, lions, cheetahs, and more. The campers were really friendly and the food was excellent, better than the motel, in my perspective. Despite the van's problems in the muddy Amboseli terrain, the journey was interesting. We were fortunate to have a large number of jeeps to assist us. Definitely worth the money, and I really recommend it. I would especially like to thank our guide, who is really honest and knowledgeable. I am eager to return to Kenya and take part in Masai Mara alongside him!

Excellent tour, guide, accomodations and food! Sit back, relax and enjoy.

We have just arrived back from a last minute 10 day tour organised by Dav Safaris in beautiful Uganda. We had a wonderful time and Solomon was an outstanding driver and guide, who gave it his all to make our trip worthwhile. We are so pleased with our experience, the shared laughs during the game drives and dinnertimes and definitely recommend him!

Booking a last minute trip to Uganda (we confirmed the tour on the 31st of January to leave on the 10th of February) was a bit stressful because we didn’t have much time to arrange flights, visa and a tour. After having requested quotations from multiple company’s we decided to go with Dav Safaris. Their offer was transparent on drive times, activities and accommodations. Optional upgrades for accommodations along with the additional costs were included. This allowed to research the different accommodations but also to upgrade at specific locations instead of just choosing basic, midrange of luxury for the whole trip. After our research we decided to stick with all the proposed accommodations and didn’t upgrade anywhere, because they all looked wonderful and had excellent reviews. Our own experience only confirmed this.

In addition the offer was at a reasonable price and we read many positive reviews about Dav Safaris on different platforms (Facebook groups, Google reviews, Tripadvisor).

Although the original offer was a standard itinerary, it was clear we could request adjustments to customize it to fit our wishes. For instance, we added a hike to the crater lakes after our Chimpanzee trekking because we liked to spend a bit more time in nature.

Arranging the trip so last minute felt very stressful at times, but once we arrived it was clear everything was taken care of and we could just relax and enjoy. Solomon was an excellent guide who handled everything with great care and communicated very clearly with us. He was calm, held a short briefing every evening during dinner about the next day, what time we would have breakfast, what time we should leave and which activities we would be doing. At one point he expressed concerns about the itinerary for the last day but he helped think ahead about how we could resolve the issue without losing out on any activity or experiences. This really showed his engagement to giving us the best possible trip.

Other than that, Solomon even fit in a couple of extra game drives when we were up for it, so we really got the most out of our time and money spent in and on the parks. It was clear he also just really enjoyed doing them, which likewise added to our excitement. Something else we were very impressed with is how he knew all the roads by heart. He didn’t you use any gps at any point, which showed he’s experienced and you could trust him, he knew what he was doing.

So overall, we had a great trip to Uganda and excellent first experience in Africa thanks to Dav Safaris!

Tips for travellers: definitely bring all your waterproof gear for the trekkings, and, if you have them, bring some binoculars. They can come in handy for game drives!
