A wonderful experience
Our 6 days with Viva Safaris were exceptional. They picked up us in Johannesburg, and we stayed at Tremisana Lodge, which is very welcoming. The room was simple but had everything we needed. The meals prepared by the women at the lodge were always good ( and sometimes an elephant would show up at breakfast to keep us company).
Of course, the most important part were the game drives. We really appreciated the variety of drives experiences offered, some at sunrise, others at sunset, and full day safaris in Kruger Park. The walking safari with guides Luke and Whian was also wonderful.
Mark has great knowledge of the area and explains everything in an exceptional way. A special thank you goes to our guide Smiley, who was absolutely phenomenal.
My partner and I have wonderful memories of the six days we spent with them, and we highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting South Africa.

Absolutely Unforgettable Safari Experience with Brilliant Safaris! (Tuma as guide)
My girlfriend and I recently returned from a 6-day safari in Tanzania followed by a 4-day beach stay in Zanzibar, and we can confidently say that choosing Brilliant Safaris was one of the best travel decisions we’ve ever made. It was our very first safari, so we were completely new to the experience and knew we’d be relying heavily on our guide and we truly couldn’t have asked for anyone better than our guide, Tuma. Additionally, Lightness, who handled all our booking and administrative arrangements, was an absolute star - she guided us through every step of the process with professionalism and warmth, was very responsive to our questions (average 1-day response time) and made planning, payment and logistics stress free.
From the moment we met them, they made us feel like family. Tuma was warm, friendly, and instantly put us at ease. By day one, it already felt like we were travelling with an old friend — one who had an encyclopaedic knowledge of wildlife, landscapes, and Tanzanian culture. Whether it was identifying birds in the distance, explaining animal behaviour, or sharing fascinating stories about local traditions, every moment with him was both fun and educational.
We booked The Great Migration package, and thanks to Tuma’s exceptional timing and navigation skills, we managed to witness hordes of Wildebeests embark on two river crossings in just three days, both from incredible, up-close vantage points. On top of that, we saw the Big Five and practically all the must-see animals by our second day.
As a keen photographer, I was especially grateful for how Tuma tailored the trip around my desire to capture great wildlife shots. He positioned the vehicle perfectly for lighting, patiently waited for the right moments, and always went above and beyond to ensure I got the best possible photographs.
The entire experience was seamless — from the comfortable accommodations and delicious meals to the perfectly planned itinerary that balanced adventure and relaxation. Brilliant Safaris truly lived up to its name in every sense, delivering a once-in-a-lifetime experience that exceeded all expectations.

What a caring tour operator !
My husband and I were in Kenya for the very first time end of September 2025, and
the safari experience was AMAZING!
We visited Maasai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha, Hell's Gate and Amboseli during a 7 day safari
We have plenty of beautiful memories, and met beautiful people during the trip.
The whole safari trip was very well organized also 😊
Next time we come back to Kenya, we will sure reach out to visit other parks.

We want to sincerely thank our guide, Moisés, who with his knowledge, passion, and kindness made this safari with our entire family an unforgettable experience. We visited Amboseli, Nakuru, and Masai Mara National Parks. He clearly explained animal behavior, interesting facts about the local wildlife, and also very interesting cultural aspects of Kenya. We greatly appreciated that he spoke perfect Spanish, which allowed us to enjoy and understand every detail of the trip even more (and he always provided “maji baridi” for “the best guide”).We also want to thank the driver, Elías, whose professionalism and safe driving always ensured that we could get as close as possible to all the animals, reach every corner, and always feel safe and well-supported throughout the entire journey.
The experience and professionalism of both of them allowed us to enjoy wildlife in those parks. We were able to see the “Big Five” and many other animals in their natural habitat, all without disturbing the wildlife or altering their behavior. They always prioritized safety and respect for nature.
Thank you both for showing us the incredible beauty of Kenya and for sharing your culture and land with us. We are taking memories for a lifetime!

Simply amazing, truly unforgettable
We booked a two-day luxury honeymoon safari from Zanzibar to Tarangire and Ngorongoro with Akondo Adventures, and it was absolutely brilliant from start to finish.
The booking process was super easy and Boris organised everything perfectly and gave us all the details we needed. Unfortunately there is an additional charge for card payment which meant an overall higher cost, but not a big issue. We were collected from our hotel in Zanzibar, took a short flight to Arusha, and were met by our amazing guide Richard, who looked after us for the full two days.
Richard was an excellent driver with immense knowledge of wildlife, birds, and plants. He spoke perfect English. He made sure we always had plenty of time for photos and did everything possible to help us spot as many animals as we could. The highlight for us was seeing a black rhino in Ngorongoro and witnessing two ostriches mating up close, quite the spectacle! We also saw lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, cougars, and so, so much more. He taught us so much about the Maasai people and life in Tanzania, and was such a pleasure to spend time with.
The hot picnic lunches were delicious, a tasty curry with side dishes, plus a selection of drinks. Richard made sure we were always comfortable and could stop for the WC whenever needed.
Our overnight stay at Escarpment Luxury Lodge was very special. The setting was breathtaking, the staff were so kind and attentive, and our lodge suite with its freestanding bath was stunning. The food was top-notch, and the evening Maasai entertainment made it even more special, the whole atmosphere was unforgettable.
This trip truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience, yet we already want to come back to explore the Serengeti and luxury camping safari next time, and we wouldn’t choose anyone other than Akondo Adventures to guide us again!

Trekking to Kilimanjaro's Summit with the best
My brothers and I had an amazing experience in Tanzania from beginning to end! We decided to climb Kilimanjaro in 9 days to improve our chances of reaching the summit. Our crew included two experienced guides, Lema and Justin, who provided excellent support. They were very knowledgeable, caring, and attentive to our needs, making sure we had everything necessary for a safe and comfortable journey. The Lemosho route was stunning with fantastic views and offered good protection from the elements. I love hiking and truly enjoyed the experience. The food was exceptionally good, and our tents were comfortable. Overall, it was an incredible experience that I would highly recommend to friends and family.

Flexible and relaible
We had a great time with Meru Slopes in Tanzania, Gift Tembo as a contact person was very patient and flexible with our needs and agenda. We took a 4 night long safari visiting Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngoro hoping to see the big 5! Our guide Jacob did everything to fulfill our dream and we have managed to see many elephants, countless lions, 3 leopards, 2 cheetas and even 2 Rhinos. He was telling us all the information we needed with a touch of good humor. The hotels we stayed at were also nice and their staff was welcoming. If I have to say some negative maybe skip the beer and wine package if you dont want to drink it during the safari as it is rare to have a bathroom of course. Materuni waterfall is also a must have after you finished with the safari.
Anyway, to sum up: it was a lifelong experience with a statisfaction with Meru Slopes much better than expected, and would recommend Jacob to be your guide, just ask for him if you book.
