Way off the beaten track
This is a fantastic park to visit if you have already been to other, more popular, national parks in East /Southern Africa. It's not the kind of place where you will see a vast variety of animals (elephants being the main one here), though you will get to see a decent amount of different animals and birds, and not forgetting plenty of wonderful baobabs. What you will get, though, is the feeling that it's just you and your 4WD out in the vast wilderness, exploring somewhere truly remote. The roads are rough with lots of growth so that you often can't work out what is the road in front of you. But this just adds to the excitement.
The scenery is beautiful as well, so there are lots of upsides to this place.

Review about South Africa by Rothdigga
Ideally I would like to see all the animals that I shoot photos of as totally wild "not on reserves", but I realize that in South Africa that's just not available as much. The parks I've visited have been amazing and the birding is top notch.

Review about Tanzania by Sebastian
In Tanzania we found every animal we're expecting to see. The parks scenary are really diferent from one to the other, so we got really diferent experiences in each park we went to, despite we're looking for the same thing in all of them..., lions, cheetas, leopards, elephants, rinohs..., and their food, all managing to get along living together.

we have seen everything you can dream, nothing could be better, 99 lions ( we have even seen one who killed a warthog) 3 leopards, 3 cheeeta's, lots of elephants, a million wilde beest...
our guide was fabulous, we certainly will go back, we really love Tanzania for ever.

Review about Zimbabwe by Nicole
The national parks in Zimbabwe are set in different geographical locations which offer bush, lakeside, cliffs or mountains and makes it very interersting and varied to visit. Its low level of tourists keeps safari very wild and the guides are usually of great knowledge. Birding is wonderful, with over 650 species of birds recorded in the country. Besides, there is the cultural heritage which is worth a visit too, like Great Zimbabwe, or ancient bushman paintings to be found all over the country.

I loved South Africa, and I will definitely be back. September was a lovely time of year, not too hot. Loads of wildlife and birds (all beautifully coloured). A photographer's dream!

With wonder and joy, we were able to see the animals and birds in their natural habitat and enjoyed learning about their behaviors!

Review about Zimbabwe by Julie_L
Zimbabwe is a great place to visit. 20 years ago it was on the beaten track, then with 'the troubles' people stopped going. The wonderful places are still there - minus the tourists (at the moment!). Get there before everyone else does.
