Topic: Terrific safari
June 7 – 17 (Meru, Samburu, Sweetwater, Aberdare, Nakuru and Masai Mara)
We were picked up at the fairview hotel in Nairobi by our Guide George. Our 4x4 Toyota Land cruiser was very comfortable and spacious for just the five of us. George not only being a terrific guide he was also very friendly and punctual. George somehow knew where every animal lived in the parks we visited, we had the opportunity to see all the Big five ! We had an 11 days safari, starting from Meru, Samburu, Sweetwater, Aberdare, Nakuru and Masai Mara. George always wanted to make sure we were having a great time on safari.

Elsa Kopje, felt so natural and the view from our unique accommodations overlooking the park presented a chance to see variety of animal, We saw baboons, giraffes, elephants, antelopes, hippos, zebras, lions and an ostrich. In the evening game watching we saw rhinos in the sanctuary. The sounds at night were incredible.

The Sarova mara camp was the best, a little more luxurious than Nakuru lodge, the staff here we incredibly accommodating, our camp had outdoor seating that gave for a very incredible view, Next day after we were treated to a very unique Bush lunch. The location was perfect with very scenic views and we saw very many giraffes just a short distance from the camp.

We were well taken care of by Tracks Berg Travel and we thank them for that wonderful safari and for the enjoyment that came by it. I think we saw most of the highlights,

Book your safaris through this company and you will not be disappointed

Highly recommended

We approached Kingfisher online somewhat at the last minute to help us plan a two-part safari in Zimbabwe and Botswana, and were extremely satisfied with the service we received. From the very beginning Martin was always available via email or phone to answer any questions we had or make suggestions. He helped walk us though a number of logistical snags early on and was patient and accommodating. We were very happy at the lodges he booked us in within Zimbabwe (Kanga and The Hide) and even when we were in Zimbabwe he was always immediately reachable to answer questions on his phone. At one point a family member back at home was worried about us and contacted him to reach us, and he immediately helped her find us and put her mind at ease. She was so impressed by him and said that if I did ever write a review, I needed to mention that she thought it was the best customer service she had ever received.

We also asked Martin to put together a mobile camp safari for us in Botswana for the second half and really enjoyed that as a change from the luxury lodges. Although there were a few snags (late arrival for our pick-up at the border, things taking longer than expected), Martin was always available via phone and once we experienced the roads in Botswana everything made sense! Our mobile camp was a great time, and we especially recommend our guide Pilot to anyone going to Botswana - he really made the trip there for us. It's definitely not luxurious, but plenty nice for people used to tent camping and really special to be out in the bush surrounded only by nature! We heard animal noises all night and woke to lion and hyena paw prints by the campfire! The food was good and the staff worked hard to make sure that our desires were met. Our kids (ages 13, 11, and 9) had a blast, were very comfortable, and felt like they were on a real adventure.

All-in-all I would say don't hesitate to use Kingfisher to help you plan and execute whatever you're looking for in your dream safari.

Tanzania - a once in a life time experience
5/5

We zeroed in on African Legends after a lot of research and discussion with service providers and those who traveled.
African Legends provided excellent service - they were flexible in customizing the travel itinerary based on our needs and they were responsive to all our queries.

We were provided with all required contact details before the travel and there was the driver waiting at the airport to receive us (the same person was with us for the entire week). In the evening, a coordinator from African legends came to brief us on the details of the trip.

The driver was very responsible, it was safe and smooth driving.
He was also flexible to accommodate our specific safari requirements, adjusting time of travel based on what interested us etc.

Every day spent in Tanzania was worth it and the accommodation was quite comfortable in all the locations we visited.

On the last day of the tour, the coordinator met us to collect feedback about the safari and accommodation arrangements.
Also, after returning back to India they wrote to ensure that we reached safe.

To summarize, they were very professional and proved us wrong in our apprehensions about relying on a group that was completely alien to us till then.

An amazing 5 days...
5/5

We booked a 5 day private lodge safari taking in Lake Manyara, Serengheti, Ngorongoro. We chose Wilderbeest after trailing through online reviews of safari operators & I have to say that our choice was the right one. We found the booking process easy & communication with Noah was always straightforward. Our guide was informative & helpful & we had an amazing 5 days. I would add that the Serena lodges were incredible & the views from our room balconies were just fantastic, if I had to choose it would be the view at the Serena Ngorongoro.. Out of this world! lots & lots of photos, stacks of great memories. I would definitely choose Wilderbeest again as everything ran like clockwork with zero problems. An amazing trip

Fish Eagle Safari
5/5

Norman, TK, Clever and the rest of the team at natureways made our experience unforgettable. Tailoring the safari for our group of eight (average age of 22) allowing for a greater experience. The knowledge and passion of our guides Norman and TK in regards to the river, flora, fauna and bush culinary skill was second to none. Recommended trip for anyone with an enthusiasm and love for the outdoors and great company.

Ethosha National Park should be at the top of your list if you visit southern Africa

The quantity and variety of wildlife in Etosha is outstanding. Other than the lion, we saw all of the Big Five and the Ugly Five. There are numerous water holes throughout the park, some of which are kept full with pumps, so even in the dry season the wildlife gather. We saw countless elephants, with a highlight of our visit being the youngsters playing in the water at the feet of the adults. We also witnessed a cheetah lying in wait as a herd of springbok wandered toward the water hole that he had staked out, and saw his (unsuccessful) attack. The Etosha Pan is a stunning place, with no clear horizon visible in places. Away from the Pan, the scenery is quite varied and lovely. We stayed two nights at Mushara, with very nice accommodations and two guided tours (morning and evening) to familiarize ourselves with the area. Our last night was at Andersson's Camp after a self-drive day through the park. The accommodations there offer a tented camp experience, and the water hole at the lodge offers a blind for close up photography of the wildlife and birds. Don't miss Etosha.

brilliant, well beyond any expectations...
5/5

The safari was unbelievable, the guides were so professional, helpful and informative. Many thanks to Villem, Gabriel, Manfred and Kleofas. We were a group of 20 all with different needs and expectations, everyone had a great time, we saw the most incredible things, we got closer to many of Namibia's fantastic animals than we would have believed possible. We will do another tour with wild dog and would recommend them to anyone who asks!!!

Henry & Annekie are fantastic. It was a treat to be driven, fed & considered in every way.
5/5

Communication was excellent. Pick-up was on time & up to our front door. My husband & I enjoyed every minute of our time at Satara & Skukuza in the Kruger Park. Henry & Annekie are perfect hosts. Henry was happy to stop for photos of birds, animals & insects, which was a bonus for me. Also, due to expert driving skills, we enjoyed the best position at sightings. They prepared some really appetizing meals. No pre-packed food on this trip! We have returned with happy memories & keen to do another trip with this team.

We really enjoyed our trip to Tanzania. The operator and guide were fantastic and the itinerary was very well planned and optimized. Our accommodation in tented camps was just perfect with a mix of comfort and wilderness. Everyone was pleasant and very nice to us. Guide knew all about animals and Tanzania history. Thank you it started in Africa!
