Very professional, organised, and patient.
5/5

Naturally when booking directly from the UK with an Ugandan company that we'd found on the internet, there is an air of nervousness. However, Ernest 'the fixer' could not have been any more reassuring, patient and helpful to tweak our trip to keep meeting our endless list of questions and demands. He was never pushy and happy to send tourism registration certificates and any other info we asked for. His responses to our very many questions were extremely prompt, whatever the time of day or night. The 10 day Rwanda Uganda exploration trip was wonderfully put together and, we thought exceptional value for money, as it included all food, all park entries, boat trips and trekking permits, not to mention a private Toyato Landcriuser and our superb driver/guide Kasim. We did however add an extra night at the start to refresh from out overnight flights from London and an extra night at the end to recover, which we would thoroughly advise. The last day is quite a rush to do the Volcanoes trek, genocide museum and then make it to the airport. Again Ernest came up trumps with recommendations, which we actually booked directly ourselves - M Hotel Kigali on the way back, which was a great high standard hotel at just $85 BnB. As for the trip itself, Kasim could not have been more professional, patient, with superb English, and a great sense of humour too. His knowledge of animals, birds (including calls), plants, local culture, food was just amazing. He was extremely flexible and seemed to have endless energy to make our holiday as great an experience a he could possibly achieve. He truly was a lovely chap. Uganda is an amazing country, with stunning wildlife and lots of close up experiences, notably the Rhino and especially the Gorillas. I have travelled quite a lot and also a fair amount in Africa, and I must admit I have not felt safer anywhere else in Africa, than I did in Uganda and Rwanda. We went mid range and the accommodation, which ranged from very nice to stunning. All had extremely large, very comfy beds with sturdy mozzy nets, except at altitude where they weren't needed (not that we really had an issue with seeing any mozzzys). Just to note we never had any air con, but quite frankly it cooled off quite nicely at night and wasn't really required. I am very pleased we could support the Ugandan tourist industry and especially Wild Uganda and can't recommend them enough.
