Excellent Kenya safari with great organisation and guiding
5/5

We travelled with Across Horizon Safaris for the first part of our journey in Kenya and had an excellent experience. Communication with Julie, the owner, was very pleasant from the start, and it was great to meet her in person on the morning of departure. She also arranged our airport pickup and hotel, which was extremely helpful after a long delay at immigration.

We travelled with a group of 6 friends and Julie advised us well on choosing the right vehicle. Having visited the Masai Mara before, we really appreciated travelling this time in a Land Cruiser, which allowed us to explore the park more comfortably. Our driver Ben was outstanding — calm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable, with a sharp eye for spotting wildlife far ahead. He drove us all the way to the Ugandan border and was very helpful during the rather chaotic border crossing. Overall, our five days in Kenya were a great success. We highly recommend Across Horizon Safaris and are already in touch with Julie to plan our next trip to Kenya.

Amazing camping safari experience with Crater Explorer
5/5

Genuine camping safari experience offered by a small yet very efficient company. With a personal touch. The communication with Emanuel Julius was smooth and efficient. He arranged everything for us at a very short notice. Pickups were always on time. Emanuel met us the night before for a debrief about the safari.
Our driver and guide Charles was brilliant : very good driver, gentle, modest and yet so knowledgeable. He always knew were to take us to see all amazing animals. We saw all big 5 and much more.
Our cook - Emanuel was simply the best. He cooked for us delicious varied meals with lots of of fresh vegetables and fruits. He was also helpful and very communicative during the whole safari.
We are happy we went for a camping safari with Crater Explorer. If you are looking for something genuine and don’t need a brand new jeep, crispy sheets and western style lunchboxes this is your operator.

About: Viatu
Perfect travel planner for a family holiday in South Africa
5/5

From our first impressions of Viatu which came from viewing their excellent website, through the online planning process, follow up planning calls with our agent (the wonderful Mardi) and finally the communication throughout the trip, we were extremely satisfied with Viatu’s service.

Mardi was able to plan a trip that was wonderfully well balanced, that offered a wide range of activities, experiences and accommodation styles, yet never felt rushed.

We couldn’t recommend Viatu any more highly and will certainly be using them the next time we decide to return to Africa.

A truly professional company!
5/5

Having not done a trip of this nature before we arranged a 7 day guided tour of Namibia taking in Etosha National park, the desert region and Swakomund Bay. Nature Travel Namibia exceeded our expectations in every way. The trip itinerary was well organised and communication throughout by Pepi Kern was exceptional. We had every confidence that we were going to be in for a good trip.
We were not dissapointed by any of the accomodation, food and the vehicle used for the trip.

Our Guide, Stuart is one of the best! and i dont say this lightly after travelling with many guides in the past. His knowledge of the wildlife and the Namibian environment was fabulous, he particularly showed great passion about Namibia and where to be in the parks to witness the animal highlights! We had some long transfers to get around in the time we had but Stuart was great fun in the car, great sense of humour and able to communicate about most things inside or outside his own country. This made all the trips memorable ones.
Anyone wanting to travel to Namibia should consider Nature Travel Namibia, you wont be disappointed!

Amazing and intense week trough several parks
5/5

We had an amazing trip with our driver Loui, who drove us from Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve, then to Castle Forest Lodge on Mount Kenya, afterwards to Lake Nakuru National Park and at last to Maasai Mara. They were long trips, but the variety of landscapes and sceneries we got to expernience were incredible. From dry and arid hills in Samuru to veritable rainforests at Castle Forest Lodge to lake scenery in Nakuru Lake National Park to the vast savannah planes of Maasai Mara. The communication with the company was friendly and our driver was experienced and could tell us much about the things we saw. He was also incredible fast at spotting animals in the parks. We stayed at mostly very nice lodges with good food, mostly buffet and nice rooms. We always felt safe during the whole trip due to the good car and the experience of the driver.
We would recommend Josero Tours wholeheartedly!

Great value and knowledgeable tour guide
4/5

The tour was great, and 3 days was the perfect amount of time. We had a chef with us that provided hot meals, which was nice because a lot of groups had sack lunches. There were some slight miscommunications but my tour organizer Oscar was quick to clarify, and easy to get ahold of. I ended up with a different company for the actual tour but Im sure this is quite common especially for solo travelers who might be placed to fill in empty spots. Oscar put me with a reputable group. The tour guide was friendly and experienced. The only disappointment was that as I was traveling solo, I was paired with a group that was doing budget camping so each night I was separated from the group and on my own at the lodge which was a bit lonely. Overall it was a great tour, a fair price, and an excellent safari experience. I would recommend booking with Kale Voyage Expedition.

Specific Honest and Friendly
5/5

"We had such a splendid experience with Wildmist our guide Bruce, was incredibly knowledgeable and made the history of Uganda come alive. Everything was so well-planned from the comfortable transportation to the fantastic local restaurants they selected. The pace was perfect, allowing us to see a lot without feeling rushed. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a seamless, enriching trip in uganda.

Anytime again!
5/5

Great safari! If we could give more stars we would. Everything was as discussed. The communication in advance was totally easy and fast. The organisation was as discussed and can be flexibly co-designed. We had Exaud as a driver, who has been doing the whole thing for 11 years and therefore recognised the national parks very well. Without a navi, he not only drove us to every lodge, but also showed us the Big 5. Our guide was Zuberi. He spoke German and explained to us a lot about the culture and the animals. Both were super friendly and professional. Anytime again!

Reliable
5/5

Me and my family used wildmist adventures for our tour to Queen Elizabeth national park and everything was top notch. The guide was very versed with the park and where we could find the animals. We were able to see lions, buffaloes, hippos, Uganda kobs, elephants and many more. The boat cruise on kazinga channel was good and we were able to see crocodiles, so many groups of hippos and birds. The kids were very excited to see so many animals in their natural habitants. The driver was always on time, fluent in communication, the vehicle was so clean and comfortable. I highly recommend them and you will get the value for your money and unforgettable experience

Absolutely Incredible ❗️❗️❗️ The Best Trip Ever ❗️❗️
5/5

My wife and I; along with five other family members and two friends just experiences the most amazing and incredible journey of our life. Our group of nine included; four, 45-50; one mid 60's; and four, mid 70s to early 80s. As a group, we are very experienced travelers with averaging having visited over 40 countries each; some over 70. Four members have visited all seven continents and another four, six. I felt that I needed to lay this foundation for my review.
Each of us felt that this was the most incredible experience of our lives. Tapestry of Africa provided us an unbelievable, life changing experience. Their organization and communications with us was exceptional. Hilda provided support to us at all times and made us feel so special. Since there were nine in our group, they provided two vehicles with fantastic guide/driver. In Kenya, we had George and Vincent; in Tanzania, Yuda and Tanzanian Vincent. These guides were not just doing a job of guiding us in the National Parks and Conservations Areas. They were on a mission to share a lifetime of experience with us and to change our perspective on nature, wildlife, and conservation; they succeeded. We all have a greater appreciation for the experience we had and know that we have to help ensure these parks and conservation areas are available to future generations.
What can I say about the lodge accommodations, they were top notch and spectacular; the food delicious; but most importantly, the people were so friendly and sharing of their culture and the heritage are striving to protecting.
Our safari was planned as 11 days, five nights in three different national parks in Kenya and the same in Tanzania. Our group arrived a day early in Nairobi and Tapestry organized a day tour around Nairobi which included the Nairobi National Park; a visit to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust which is world famous for their work with orphaned elephants and rhinos. We saw the feeding time for over 20 baby elephants, the one baby rhino and a lone baby zebra and we got to fed giraffes at the giraffe center.
We spent the last two nights of the safari at Tortillas Camp in Amboseli National Park. This was a beautiful spot to end our incredible voyage of discovery. There is a perimeter fence and guards to ensure our safety but which allows us to roam the camp grounds and enjoy the natural beauty. I highly recommend adding another day there before returning to Nairobi.
Lastly, I want to thank the Matt and Albert who were always available to assist and answer questions.
