Amazing experience, no words to describe it…
An absolutely unforgettable trip, the kind that changes something within you and stays with you for life. I never expected that I could possibly fall in love with a country like this. A huge thank you to our guide Robert, who made the trip even more special. A kind man, devoted to his job. He shared his passion for animals with us and did everything possible to put us in the best spot at the right time. I leave this country with a thousand pictures and incredible memories. I would also like to thank Axis Africa, who organized our stay perfectly from the beginning to the very end.

From our very first conversations with Tabitha to the end of our safari, everything went wonderfully smoothly.
A huge thank you to our fantastic guide, Robert Kiambati, who played a major role in making this experience such a success, thanks to his extensive knowledge of wildlife — from the smallest bird to the different prides and the lions we encountered belonged to.
His passion for the history of his country (and beyond), as well as geography, geology, anthropology, and so much more, made every day even more fascinating.
And, of course, his particular love of sunrises and sunsets gave us the opportunity to capture some truly magnificent photos ! Thank you again...

Mr. Kiambati was our guide and driver throughout our stay in Kenya. He is a very experienced driver, and Kenyan roads can sometimes be challenging. The A109 between Nairobi and Mombasa is heavily used by trucks, while the other paved roads also have their fair share of surprises.
On safari, Robert is truly the “eyes and ears of the savannah”. Always highly focused on the tracks and attentive to the slightest signs of animal presence, he gave us an unforgettable experience. We probably saw the widest possible range of local wildlife — from the safety of our vehicle, of course, as walking through tall grass to admire the determination of a dung beetle is still not particularly advisable!
He knows exactly how to position his vehicle, while fully respecting the safety rules in force in the parks, as close as possible to the “action”. At the same time, he understands and respects the priorities and unwritten rules that exist between safari drivers. Quick and responsive when necessary, he also knows when to slow down and let us enjoy the peace, quiet and vastness of the landscapes we were travelling through.
His academic knowledge of the wildlife and species found across the African continent was extremely enlightening. As an academic specialist in ornithology, but also a passionate expert on the great cats, he can tell you all about the different lion prides of the Maasai Mara — and you will absolutely love listening to him.
His many friendships with researchers, park rangers, guides from other companies, as well as with the many people we met during our stay, were not only evidence of the respect and authority he has earned, but also a guarantee that we would receive a warm welcome wherever we went.
Finally, the time we spent talking with him in the vehicle about history, geology, politics and everyday life in Kenya allowed us to gain an even deeper appreciation and understanding of this wonderful country.
For all these reasons, I would recommend Robert and Axis Africa without hesitation. A huge THANK YOU to him and all the team of Axis once again for helping us discover Kenya. We sincerely hope to return one day!

Hi there. I've just completed day 3 of my 4 day safari with Kelvin from Axis Africa Expedition and Safaris. Everything about this tour has surpassed my expectations. I have been trying to do this safari for over a decade so I was a little nervous. All of the communication with Tabitha was so easy and very timely. Her service was excellent right from the beginning.
When the tour started, Kelvin was amazing from the start. The driving alone is so hard on these treacherous roads and he made us feel very safe. He was incredible at finding these amazing moments and memories on the tour. I know some of it was luck but you can tell he's VERY experienced and he has great connections with many other drivers, to help find us the best moments with the animals. We saw ALL of the big five by day two!! He was very warm and knowledgeable, but also always professional. If you get Kelvin as your guide, you've truly locked out.

Excellent
We had a wonderful 7 days in Kenya with Axis Safaris and our wonderful guides Yasin and Jombe. They took such good care of us, provided lots of water for the game drives and were very knowledgeable on the best vantage points to see the wildlife. We managed to see the Big 5 (plus 2 cheetahs!), the great migration and even a river crossing where we were the only 2 cars there (we waited for a relatively short 2 hours by the river bank). Thanks Yasin and Jombe for encouraging us to be patient and quiet so we could see that once in a lifetime experience. Thank you also for taking such great pictures of us, driving us safely, and for sharing so much information about Kenya and its incredible wildlife. We had an epic trip and we hope to be back again!
