An Unforgettable Safari
We went on a 4-day safari from Nairobi. We visited the Maasai Mara, Nakuru, and Naivasha. Our tour guide, Joseph, was very experienced, friendly, and always in a good mood. The whole family loved him. We were able to enjoy many amazing wildlife sightings in a relaxed atmosphere. The accommodations were also very comfortable. Working with Winfred to organize the trip was a pleasure and very straightforward.

Our 1st safari, unforgettable Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater
I came across Jambo Masai Tour after a long search for safari agencies in Tanzania, and I was immediately impressed by the kindness and promptness of the staff, Raphael in particular. We decided to go on safari in Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater, spending two days travelling from Zanzibar, with all transfers included in the price.
It was a truly unforgettable experience and one I would highly recommend. Kevin, our driver, was kind and attentive throughout the trip, as well as extremely knowledgeable about the parks we visited and the animals we were lucky enough to see.
Unfortunately, at Ngorongoro we had an issue with our entry permit for the reserve. Kevin immediately took action to try to resolve the situation as quickly as possible and did everything he could to help us.
We didn’t manage to complete the Big Five, as we were missing the leopard—but we’ll use that as an excuse to come back soon!

An unforgettable 7-day Kenya safari with Peter Kapino
We had an absolutely unforgettable 7-day private safari with Axil Africa Safaris, travelling through the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Hell’s Gate and Amboseli. Our guide and driver, Peter Kapino, was one of the biggest reasons this trip became such a special experience for us.
From the first morning in Nairobi, Peter Kapino was friendly, patient and professional. Seven days is a long time to spend together in a safari vehicle, especially with many hours of driving between parks, but Peter made the whole journey comfortable and enjoyable. He is easy to talk to, always happy to answer questions, and has a calm and positive personality. By the end of the safari, it felt much more like travelling with a knowledgeable local friend than simply having a driver.
The wildlife experience in the Masai Mara was beyond anything we expected. We saw an incredible number of animals, including many lions. One of the most memorable moments of the entire trip was seeing two lions mating. It was fascinating to witness this natural behavior so close to us, and Peter explained what was happening, how frequently lions mate during this period, and how this relates to their social and reproductive behavior.
We also had an amazing encounter with a cheetah eating its prey. Instead of just stopping for a photograph and immediately moving on, Peter positioned the vehicle carefully and gave us enough time to watch the animal. His knowledge of animal behavior made these encounters much more meaningful because he explained not only what species we were looking at, but also what the animals were doing and why.
Another major highlight was seeing the wildebeest migration. Watching huge numbers of wildebeest moving across the Mara landscape was something we had seen many times in documentaries, but experiencing it in person was completely different. The scale of the migration is difficult to describe. There were animals stretching across the plains, mixed with zebras and other wildlife. Peter explained the migration cycle, how the animals move between Kenya and Tanzania, and how rainfall and grazing conditions influence their movements.
We also saw a beautiful giraffe under the sunset in the Masai Mara. The giraffe standing against the warm evening sky and open savanna was one of the most peaceful and photogenic moments of the safari. Peter understood how important the light was for photography and gave us time to enjoy the scene rather than rushing to move on.
Lake Nakuru was another completely different experience. We saw rhinos, which had been high on our list before coming to Kenya, and we were amazed by the large number of birds. In particular, there were so many flamingos, creating beautiful pink areas along the lake shore. We also saw pelicans, storks and many other water birds. Peter was able to identify different species and explain why Lake Nakuru is such an important habitat for birds and wildlife.
Amboseli was the perfect final destination. Seeing large elephants with Mount Kilimanjaro rising behind them was one of those classic African scenes that almost looks unreal when you finally see it yourself. We had wonderful views of elephants walking across the open plains with Kilimanjaro in the background. Some of the elephants were enormous, and Peter explained their family structures, feeding behavior and movements around the Amboseli ecosystem. For photography, this was probably one of the highlights of the entire trip.
Peter Kapino’s knowledge goes far beyond wildlife. Throughout the week he explained Kenyan geography, local culture, different communities, the Great Rift Valley and the ecology of each park. The landscapes changed dramatically between Masai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha and Amboseli, and his explanations helped us understand why different animals and vegetation are found in each area.
We also really appreciated Peter’s driving skills. Some safari tracks were very rough, but he handled them confidently and safely. Inside the parks, he had a good sense of where wildlife might be found and how to position the vehicle for both viewing and photography. He never made us feel rushed and often waited when there was interesting animal behavior developing.
Overall, this safari exceeded our expectations. We saw lions, cheetahs, rhinos, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, flamingos and many other animals, but it was Peter Kapino’s knowledge and personality that connected all of these experiences together.
We would absolutely recommend Peter Kapino from Axil Africa Safaris to anyone planning a safari in Kenya. He is knowledgeable, friendly, patient, an excellent driver and genuinely enthusiastic about sharing his country and its wildlife. A wonderful Safari trip
During the planning stage, Veronica provided me with a detailed itinerary and was able to promptly respond to my questions and modify the itinerary according to my needs. This made me feel very reliable and more at ease when traveling alone to a foreign land.
After the start of the trip, I felt Veronica's reliability even more: she personally went to the airport to pick me up and asked about my itinerary every day. Although there were little issues during the trip, she actively communicated with me and provided a satisfactory solution.

Perfectly organized safari with a great guide!!

Die Tour wurde von Leopard perfekt organisiert, insbesondere wurde auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen und diese sinnvoll durch Vorschläge ergänzt oder angepasst, etwa durch den Besuch eines Masai-Dorfes oder die Anpassung der route, um übermäßige Fahrzeiwn zu vermeiden. Wir besuchten Nyerere, Mikumi und Udzungwa. Dabei wurde auch auf Änderungswünsche eingegangen, sodass auch spontanen Interessen nachgegangen werden konnte, zum Beispiel eine Walking-Safari anstelle einer klassischen Driving-Safari an einem der 7 Tage. Unser Guide Sebastian war ebenfalls super. Wir konnten gute Gespräche führen, sehr gut über die Tierwelt lernen und auch kulturell in das Land eingeführt. Zudem waren die Fahrten angenehm und alle Safaris durchweg spektakulär und von großem Respekt der Natur gegenüber gekennzeichnet.
Das positive Bild erstreckt sich weiter auf alle Personen zu denen wir in den Unterkünften, Restaurants und weiteren Aktivitäten Kontakt hatten. Wir haben die Budget Variante gewählt und würden dies wieder tun, da dadurch das eintauchen in die lokalen Kulturen besonders gut möglich war. Alle Zimmer und Mahlzeiten waren dabei durchweg gut.
Alles in allem eine sehr schöne und empfehlenswerte Safari!
The tour was perfectly organized by Leopard. In particular, they catered closely to our wishes, thoughtfully complementing and adjusting them with great suggestions—such as visiting a Maasai village or tweaking the route to avoid excessive driving times. We visited Nyerere, Mikumi, and Udzungwa. They were also very flexible with changes, allowing us to pursue spontaneous interests, like opting for a walking safari instead of a classic game drive on one of the 7 days.
Our guide, Sebastian, was also fantastic. We had great conversations, learned a lot about the wildlife, and received a wonderful introduction to the local culture. In addition, the drives were pleasant, and all the safaris were consistently spectacular and marked by deep respect for nature.
This positive impression extended to everyone we encountered at the accommodations, restaurants, and during other activities. We chose the budget option and would gladly do so again, as it made immersing ourselves in the local culture especially easy. All the rooms and meals were consistently good.
All in all, a wonderful safari that we highly recommend!

An Unforgettable Safari Experience
Our trip was even better than we expected! We did a 10-day safari followed by 2 days exploring the city, and both the accommodations and itinerary were well planned and perfectly suited our needs. From our very first inquiry, Joachim was always quick to respond and provided detailed options for a customized itinerary, which was one of the main reasons we chose Safari Soles.
Our city guides, Benson, Joshua, and Andrew, were also great. They were very attentive and introduced us to many different aspects of local life and culture, which made our time in the city even more interesting.
Frank, our main guide for the 10-day safari, was amazing! He always tried his best to find the best wildlife viewing spots and shared lots of interesting facts along the way. He’s also very knowledgeable about car mechanics, which is such a great bonus to have on a safari. We even saw him kindly helping other safari vehicles when they needed a hand, which made us feel we were in very capable hands throughout the trip.
The only small thing that could be improved is that guides for some of the separate activities were sometimes assigned quite late, so we couldn’t always confirm the meeting time or details for the next day in advance. It would be great if these could be shared a little earlier.
Overall, we felt very well taken care of throughout the whole trip, and it really made us want to come back for another safari someday!
