They also arranged our return flight from Arusha to Zanzibar and personally welcomed us at Arusha Airport with safari shirts and hats as lovely gifts.
Our driver was excellent, and the safari jeep was spacious and very comfortable. He knew exactly where to take us, helped us see the best wildlife, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the trip.

My husband and I booked a private, custom 7 day tour of Uganda and Rwanda that included visiting the Gorillas in both countries, the Golden Monkeys, and Chimps. The price was reasonable, the owner, Edison, was responsive, professional and attentive. Our guide, Herbert, far exceeded our expectations. He was an expert at spotting animals and his knowledge of each animal was impressive. Herbert was friendly and kind to the wildlife, to us and to others around him. The communication was smooth and responsive from pre-trip planning all the way until the end of our journey. What impressed us most was their outstanding reliability and thoughtful service. Special mention goes to our agent Fred and our guide Nickson. On our arrival day, our flight suffered a long delay. Fred and Nickson waited patiently for us for three hours without any complaints. When we mentioned we were hungry, they kindly helped us buy lunch to recharge.
Guide Nickson looked after every member of our group attentively and cared about everyone’s needs. If anyone felt unwell, he would take us to the pharmacy and even buy medicine for us.
The itinerary was well-planned, and Nickson had excellent wildlife knowledge. He always tried his best to locate animals during game drives. We witnessed countless amazing wildlife encounters including elephants, zebras and other savanna creatures. We believe this tour offers fantastic value for money, with transparent arrangements and no hidden charges.
Unfortunately, adjustments had to be made to our schedule due to the flight delay, leaving us with limited safari time. We only managed two game drives in the private wildlife sanctuary next to Salt Lick Safari Lodge. We were a little disappointed that we ultimately could not visit Tsavo West National Park as we expected.

Exactly as I have always imagined a safari and Tanzania. Every person we met was kind, friendly, hospitable, and welcoming. The guides were always there to help us with any little emergency and to spot every animal in the vastness of the parks. The accommodations were comfortable and fully met what had been agreed upon at the time of booking.

My experience with Kilipath African Safari was exceptional from start to finish. I began chatting with Happy over 2 years ago to plan my very first Safari for my husband and me. She provided several different itineraries based on my budget. However, due to my husband’s cancer diagnosis, we had to put our plans on hold. Happy seemed genuinely disappointed, but she surprisingly kept in touch with me. Fast forward to the completion of my husband’s chemo treatments, we were finally ready to begin the planning process again. Happy picked up right where we left off! She planned the best budget friendly safari with some of the best lodging accommodations. Every detail was arranged perfectly. And she made sure that everyone celebrated me and my husband’s 7-year wedding anniversary. There were so many surprises for us along the way! And the icing on the safari cake was our guide Asaad. He was very professional, attentive and informative. He made sure we saw the Big 5 and were able to get good pictures. He ultimately made my first safari experience the best! I would use Kilipath again and definitely recommend them 100%. They are truly miles above those “big name” tour companies. I’m glad I went with the decision to choose Kilipath!
