Review about Botswana by john from bedford
Just 4 stars for wildlife - only because, sadly, no rhino in Chobe at the moment. Despite the lack of rains this last 12 months and the Chobe river being at the lowest level I've seen it, there is still a wide variety of wildlife to enjoy - both on land and in the river. Particularly the abundance of elephant.

Chobe - one of Africa's crown jewels
Africa is in my blood - my wife spent 15 years living and working around the continent - and I became hooked on it too. If I had to select one National Park out of the many I've enjoyed, Chobe would be my first choice. Why? It offers a variety of wildlife and a combination of both land and river trips to enjoy this wildlife. Add to this, the local people are both passionate and knowledgeable. Comfortable accommodation is on offer at the Kasane end of Chobe and only a few minutes drive to the park. OK the roads are poor but it is said that this is intentional to reduce the number of "ordinary vehicles" lured to the park. We use the provided safari vehicles and guides.

Godfrey Willy!
First, I have to admit that I have not actually done a safari with African Traits, BUT I have been on several trips and worked with Godfrey Willy. I have done day trips with Godfrey and one of his guides--excellent! I would not hesitate to book a trip with African Traits because I know that Godfrey will make sure that all is well. Godfrey spent 2 weeks guiding and supporting the Sunflower Kids nonprofit when we were making a fundraising film. He was outstanding at helping the director get really great shots, translating, and helping gain access into places where we would have never gone without him. The film would not have been as great as it is without him. So, all that is to say--I would trust Godfrey and book with African Traits!
Good and so far has offered the best for me. Splendour has given good service to my expectations. Tx
The communication is clear and has always been to the point. No challenge

9 Days Safari and Zanzibar
Our group of 4 went to this awesome holiday with Tanzania Roadside Expeditions. There guys really know their stuff, and we had most amazing time in mainland safaris. But Zanzibar is a tale for itself...just perfect. All recommendations!!

Really a Great Experience
This was my first time in Kenya and I was pretty anxious about this whole safari thing. My friends talked me into this on our visit to Tanzania and I am sort glad they did. It was one of a kind experience for me. I heard so many things about Kenya but the safari tour changed it all. The people on our tour I met, the food we had, village walks and hotel stay over here were just perfect. Really a great experience.

Unforgettable experience!
As a family of 6 (children 17, 16, 13 and 10) we did a 3 day safari to Serengeti and Ngorongoro. It was far beyond our expectations. We were accomplished by a great guide who had an eye for detail and gave us much information about environment and animals. And an excellent cook who managed to surprise us with every meal. We are looking back at a great time and can recommend this great company to everybody!

Kiliminjaro Hakuna Matata
Godfrey organized one of the best experiences I've have had in arranging our climb up Kili. Myself and one friend climbed the Machame route with 7 days. The whole team was fantastic with some especially memorable guides Teacher John and Hallelujah. The service was great and the attitude was joyful. It didn't hurt that the weather was also perfect and we had a full moon with a lunar eclipse on summit day! All of the other logistics were rather seamless, including airport pick-up and lodging on either side of the climb, and I would definitely use this company again.

Great first trip to Tanzania.
This was our first trip to Tanzania for Safari, but having visited other parks the Mandate to Umang was to create an experience away from the crowds and focusing more on quality over quantity in game viewing destinations.
Umang and Beena were very patient and responsive to any queries we had as we went through about 6 potential iterinaries which they explained in great detail.
Finally we zeroed in on Beho Beho in Selous (3 nights) and Kwihala in Ruaha (4nts). While both camps offer a a different experience, the Mandate was very well met in both destinations. Even the pick up and drop was very well coordinated from Dar with some very well appreciated special surprises thrown in during our stay ( I don't want to divulge for the sake of future travelers). All in all a great experience and clear and concise communication before our trip. We look forward to planning our next trip with Umang and Beena.

Amos took complete care of us and guided us through our itinerary
While there were several tour companies to choose from we chose Migration and Kili Expedition tours because Amos ( I think he is the owner of the business) responded to us quickly and completely answered all our questions. While we were hesitant about arriving in a completely foreign country with just a name to rely on, all our doubts were washed away as soon as we met Amos. We were not sure if he would meet us or someone else but it was him. He made us feel comfortable right away. All our tours and travel arrangements were planned and executed properly. He offered us rides when he was around to the local areas and arranged for people to meet us wherever we were. He even got us masseuses to our hotel room after our climb on Kilimanjaro. His guides were professional and friendly. The kili guide, Roghert, was a speed record holder up the mountain six years ago. He was patient with us. The safari guide, (forgot his name ask Amos) tried his best to get us to see all the animals at ngorongoro crater (we even saw the illusive black rhino) and drove extra for us to see additional things and even shop. I would highly recommend Amos and his company for your tours. I do recommend however that you sort out tipping guidelines ahead so you know what is expected. I recommend this for all tours and other typically tipping scenarios while in a new country.
