The honeymoon safari of our dreams, thanks to Gerald and Serengeti Wakanda!
We've just returned from our honeymoon safari in Tanzania with Serengeti Wakanda, and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. Five stars doesn't feel like enough!
From the very beginning, the booking process was easy and communication was excellent. The team were quick to respond and happily accommodated all of our requests and changes to the itinerary along the way.
The tour itself was incredible from start to finish. We visited Tarangire, the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater, and each one was spectacular in its own way. At the start of the week, our guide Gerald asked what we were hoping to see, and we told him our dream was the Big Five. We were lucky enough to see them all!
Gerald was a huge part of what made this trip so special. He was incredibly knowledgeable and clearly knew the best places and times to find everything, but he was also patient and never rushed us, whether we wanted to linger longer at a sighting or were ready to head back after a long day. Just as importantly, he was a genuinely great person to spend the week with: kind, funny and so personable. Everywhere we went, it was obvious that everyone loved him, and by the end of the week, so did we! When you're spending so much time together, it makes a world of difference to have a guide who's as easy to get along with as Gerald. You could also tell he was often just as excited as we were about the sightings. Even after 10 years in the job, he clearly loves what he does.
Our highlight was seeing a leopard for the first time, just after it had caught its dinner and was trying to drag it up a tree. It was such a unique experience and felt truly special to witness.
The accommodation Serengeti Wakanda chose for us was 10/10 throughout, and the food was plentiful and delicious. We especially loved having our lunches out in the middle of the parks with a glass of wine. How many people can say they've done that?!
Overall, we'd recommend to everyone to 1) do a safari, and 2) book it with Serengeti Wakanda. You won't regret it! Just be prepared for those early starts… they're a killer 🤣

Very professional, responsive, helpful and experimented
The tour was very responsive via either email or WhatsApp. The service provided was exactly as described in their offer, the mid budget certainly matched our expectations at least, if not exceeded. Extremely good value for money. We were fortunate enough to see the big 5 in less than 3 hours so our experienced is biased but nonetheless spectacular.
The guide David was very experimented, reactive, quick, knowledgeable and funny. Definitely recommend going with him if you can.

This is the 2nd trip I’ve booked with LDT this year and on both occasions, I’ve had nothing but the best experience.

She made my solo trip very effortless…all I had to do is show up. It’s exactly what I needed. Right from hotel and flight bookings, check ins all handled. The airport transfers (Elijah and Denis at Malindi really gave me the VIP treatment). The car was very clean, perfect AC and friendly too and most importantly they kept time!

One of the Best Family Experiences We’ve Ever Had
We had an amazing time with Tanzania Choice Safaris. Brenda spent weeks going back and forth via email to get our trip perfected. Our guide and driver, Kakasii, has decades of experience and it really showed. He took us through incredible parts of Ngorongoro and made the entire experience easy, fun, and educational for our family.
We saw everything we had hoped to see and more, including hippos, black and white rhinos, zebras, ostriches, elephants, flamingos, and many other animals.
One of the most unforgettable moments was watching a lion eating a zebra while a jackal cautiously tried to sneak in for a bite.
Kakasii took great care of us throughout the trip, including providing boxed lunches and arranging a wonderful picnic in the park.
We stayed at Lemala Osonjoi Lodge near the Ngorongoro crater, where the food was fantastic, and we loved ending the evenings sitting around the fire.
Our kids learned so much and had such a great time that they wanted to go back into the park again the next day, which they did. This was truly one of the best tours and family trips we have ever taken. We would absolutely recommend Tanzania Choice Safaris and Kakasii and Brenda to anyone planning a safari in Tanzania.
The trip was easy for us since we are American but live in Rwanda.

Excellent 7-day private safari — our guide Langeni made the difference
We travelled as a group of six on the 7-day mid-range private safari (Tarangire → Northern Serengeti → Central Serengeti → Ngorongoro Crater → Lake Eyasi → Lake Manyara) in September 2026. Two of the six were my parents, who are both over 65+. Everything on the itinerary was delivered as promised, but what actually made the trip was our guide, Langeni.
Langeni has been guiding for over 20 years, and it shows in ways you can't see when you're comparing itineraries online. A few moments stand out:
#The Mara River crossing. He noticed other vehicles suddenly racing off in one direction and said, "I think it's starting" — rather than waiting for radio news. We arrived and the crossing was already underway. We watched a crocodile take a wildebeest, and minutes after we finished shooting, the herd changed its mind and stopped crossing. Without that read, we would have missed it entirely.
#Finding the cats. He had told us honestly that leopard and cheetah are both hard to see. We saw a leopard once and cheetah twice in a single day, plus lions on six separate occasions, and we completed the Big Five by day five. He also has a real gift for positioning the vehicle — one lioness walked right past us, and at Ngorongoro he found a perfect angle on a lion with a fresh kill.
#The teaching. Nine hours a day in a vehicle could feel long, but his explanations were one of the best parts of the trip: why zebra and wildebeest migrate together ("zebra see, wildebeest smell"), the M on an impala's rump, why cheetahs have tear lines, how elephant herds are run by the matriarch.
#No GPS. At all. Over seven days I never once saw Langeni look at a navigation device. The tracks in Serengeti and Ngorongoro are mostly unnamed and unmarked, and he found his way — and found animals — purely from experience and by reading the landscape. That is the part of a safari you cannot buy with a better itinerary, and it's the single strongest argument for asking about your guide's years of experience before you book.
And he takes care of everything you don't think to ask about. The vehicle was spotless every single morning, drinking water was always restocked, and he checked in regularly on whether anyone needed a restroom stop before we got too far from one. My father has complicated dietary restrictions, and Langeni passed them on to every lodge and camp, every day, without ever needing a reminder.
He is genuinely fun to spend a week with — talkative, cheerful, always happy to answer another question — and at the same time completely on top of the day. He knows when to move on and when it's worth staying a little longer, and that judgment is the difference between a good sighting and a great one.
On the office side, Mary handled the pre-trip planning for six people arriving from four different countries on different flights, and stayed responsive throughout.
Ask for Kilimanjaro Adventure Safari Club, and if possible, Langeni. Highly recommended :)

A truly thoughtful and personal safari experience.
We had an amazing two-day safari in Akagera National Park with Wild Sage Travel, including one night camping at Shakani, and the whole experience was truly special.
From the very beginning, everything was organised with an incredible level of professionalism and attention to detail. What really stood out to us was how different the experience felt compared to a more standard safari. Every moment had been thoughtfully planned, while still leaving enough space to simply enjoy being in the park and take in the surroundings.
The sunset at Shakani, with the aperitif beautifully organised by the team, was one of the highlights of the trip. Sitting there, watching the light change over the landscape with everything taken care of, was absolutely stunning.
Isaac was an excellent guide. He is extremely knowledgeable about Akagera, its wildlife and its history, and he made the safari much more interesting by sharing anecdotes and details about the animals and the places we were visiting. You could really feel his experience and passion throughout the two days.
We also really appreciated the level of care behind the whole experience. Nothing felt improvised or generic. From the game drives to the camping experience and the little details along the way, everything was handled with great attention.
A big thank you to Alicia, Isaac and the whole Wild Sage team for making our time in Akagera so memorable. We would absolutely recommend Wild Sage to anyone looking for a well-organised, personal and genuinely special safari experience in Rwanda.

I booked 4 days safari with Suricata and everything was done very well from the initial communication to everyday games. All questions during booking were addressed promptly by Linda.
