Unforgettable 6-day private safari with an amazing guide, Godana
Our group of six booked a private 6-day safari with Global Threads Safaris in late September 2026 (Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli), and our driver-guide Godana made the whole trip.
We saw just about every animal we hoped for, including countless elephants, giraffes and cheetahs. The landscapes were just as memorable. Seeing Mount Kilimanjaro rise over Amboseli and the beauty of Lake Nakuru were moments we'll never forget.
Godana wasn't just driving us from park to park. He genuinely cared about how we were experiencing the journey, and he shared stories about Kenyan culture along with his own philosophy and perspective on life. Those conversations gave the trip real depth.
The distances between parks are long and the roads are very bumpy, so the jeep did break down a few times. What impressed us was how everyone, Godana and the other drivers alike, jumped in to help each other and get us moving again, always putting the travelers' experience first.
If you're planning a safari in Kenya, ask for Godana. Asante sana for an amazing week!

Very friendly, knowledgeable and reliable
Simon was absolutely amazing and truly made our safari special. We loved the photography jeep — it was such a fantastic way to enjoy the wildlife and get those perfect views and photographs.
He took wonderful care of us throughout the entire trip, always finding the best angles and positions for us to see the animals while sharing so much knowledge about the wildlife and the Mara.

Professional, responsive, reliable and friendly - Lion King Adventures has made me a safari convert!
I travelled with a friend and as two female travellers, we spent a lot of time researching safari operators before choosing
Lion King Adventures for a 4-day, 3-night safari covering Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro
Crater, Central Serengeti and Lake Manyara in September 2026. Looking back, choosing Lion
King was one of the best decisions we made for our trip to Tanzania.
I'll admit that before arriving, I wasn't just hesitant about going on safari; I was genuinely
terrified!! However, Lion King Adventures' professionalism, organisation and customer service
quickly put me at ease and completely transformed the experience. By the end of the trip, I was
wondering why I hadn't done a safari sooner.
From the planning stage the team was responsive, accommodating and genuinely interested in
ensuring the itinerary met our needs. A special thank you to Riziki, who was incredibly helpful
during the proposal and booking process and to Rose, whose attentive aftercare and follow-up
were equally impressive.
What really stood out were the thoughtful touches that elevated the entire experience. On Day
1, we were surprised with a bottle of wine accompanied by a personalised message during
lunch, which was such a lovely and unexpected gesture. We also appreciated that our picnic
lunches weren't just packed boxes. We were treated to freshly cooked food served with proper
plates, cutlery and even a picnic tablecloth. It may seem like a small detail, but it made every
lunch stop feel special.
The accommodations selected by Lion King, Nyota Rift Valley and Land of Nature Camp;
were excellent and went beyond what we expected to experience on a safari (They will get their
own reviews).
The true highlight of our trip, however; was our guide and driver, Godbless. From the moment
he picked us up he was warm, engaging, patient and endlessly knowledgeable. He shared
fascinating information not only about the wildlife and ecosystems but also about Tanzania, its
culture, history, and everyday life. No question was too small and he always took the time to
provide thoughtful answers.
As a safari guide, his skills were simply remarkable. My friend and I became convinced that his
sunglasses had magical powers. Time after time, he would stop the vehicle, gaze towards what
looked like an empty patch of bush or distant horizon, and ask, "Do you see it?" We would scan
the area with binoculars, follow his directions and eventually spot the animal he had somehow
identified immediately. His ability to locate wildlife was extraordinary.
Of course, he ensured that we saw the Big Five, but what impressed us most was that he
understood a safari is about more than a checklist of animals. There were moments when he
would park the vehicle, switch off the engine and simply allow us to experience the beauty of the
wilderness. Sitting quietly, feeling the breeze, listening to nature and appreciating the stillness of
the landscape became some of the most memorable moments of the entire trip.
Lion King Adventures delivered an experience that was professional, personal and exceptionally
well organised from beginning to end. I would recommend them without hesitation, especially to
first-time safari travellers and women travelling together. If possible, ask for Godbless to be your
driver/guide. You won’t regret it! Lion King Adventures didn't just show us Tanzania's wildlife;
they helped 2 Trinis fall in love with the safari experience itself.

I was only looking forward to seeing animals, but I didn't expect that it was also very important to follow the tour group. I was very happy to participate in this tour group this time. The tour guide Ernest was very cute and thoughtful, and told us a lot of knowledge. This trip is my favorite! I want to ask Ernest to participate again in the future!

Great honeymoon holiday organizer
At the start I was not sure about dealing with a local tour operator, am I going to be sending money overseas that I wont see again?
I was wrong, everything went great!
I reached out to the Julius and the team at Beyond the Plains when planning the honeymoon trip for my wife and myself a few months back after trying to find a company that would offer me that little bit more for such a special holiday.
They were able to tailor a tour package exactly to our needs and desired duration. We got a private safari, return local flights from Nairobi and accommodation at Diani Beach for us to relax as a combined package.
I enjoyed the professional service we got from the team, no one that was pushy and trying to sell you something. Also when we reached out last minute about a delay with our flight, they were quick to adjust the schedule to suit the changes also.

Our guide Simon, quiet yet careful, has sharp eyes and found great photography spots for us.
mboseli boasts stunning natural scenery and huge elephant herds, while Masai Mara feels more untouched and wild, offering higher chances to spot a rich variety and large quantity of animals.
We explored Masai Mara and Amboseli , witnessing the cycle of wild life. Every detail of the itinerary was well planned. The team was reliable and always ready to help. It was a profound trip to feel the power of nature, and we fully recommend this tour operator.

An Unforgettable East African Safari — Highly Recommend Rose and Camptrek!
We had an absolutely incredible safari journey across Kenya and Tanzania with Camptrek Safaris, and we cannot recommend them enough!
From the very beginning, Rose was exceptional. She was incredibly productive, prompt in answering all of our queries, and ensured a seamless booking process. Her meticulous planning made the entire transaction and journey completely stress-free.
Our guides were phenomenal—Robert in Kenya and Jackson in Tanzania both provided us with an outstanding experience, sharing their deep knowledge and making our game drives unforgettable. Additionally, every single lodge organized for us was exceptionally beautiful and exceeded our expectations.
Toward the end of our trip, we experienced a minor vehicle breakdown during our last two days heading back to the Kenyan border. However, the Camptrek team handled it flawlessly. The issue was quickly resolved, and they smoothly provided us with alternative
transport without disrupting our itinerary.
We will certainly be recommending Rose and Camptrek Safaris to our family and friends. We are already hoping to return in a few years and will definitely have Rose arrange our future safari trips!
