We had an absolutely amazing safari experience, and our guide Peter played a huge role in making it unforgettable. He was very attentive, always professional, and made sure all our wishes were considered throughout the trip. Thanks to his expertise, we were lucky enough to see the Big Five as well as the Ugly Five, which made the experience even more special.
Peter was communicative and friendly, creating a great atmosphere within the group. Over the days, we really bonded and felt like a small travel family. At all times, we felt safe, warmly welcomed, and well taken care of—both during the game drives and at every accommodation.
All lodges were excellent, offering great comfort and hospitality. Overall, this was an exceptional and truly unforgettable safari experience that we can highly recommend.

A faultless compact safari
From the start I communicated with Nicholas , who got back to me so quickly, was so friendly and professional and was happy to tailor my tour how I needed and gave me multiple options.
Then we were met by Nicholas, Alfred and our driver Samson at the airport which was a lovely welcome.
We did the two day private Masai Mara safari with a balloon ride as we were limited on time but we did not leave feeling like we were missing out on any experiences.
As soon as we arrived in the Masai Mara we were very lucky to see so much so soon. In one afternoon game drive we saw many iconic animals, as well as 4 of the big 5 (no rhino) but to be expected. But also was lucky enough to spot a Marshall eagle with a fresh kill dragging it along the grass, a serval hunting and a hippo asleep on the sandbank at the hotel where you wait for your balloon ride.
The Balloon ride was unforgettable. Really recommend this addition for a special touch to your safari.
All of the above was so seamlessly organised from start to finish and Samson made sure everything ran smoothly whilst we were under his care and had great knowledge to share.
Thank you all so much for a memorable experience in the Masai Mara , if I ever come back to Kenya I will be contacting this safari company again.

Excellent quality trip
We were thoroughly impressed by Axis Africa Safaris! They were very responsive, reliable and thorough with their initial information, flexible to accommodate our budget and needs. Our guide, Ahmed, was very knowledgeable and flexible throughout the safari days. We booked a 2-day safari trip to Masai Mara and saw the big 4 (minus a black rhino) and an abundance of wild life, including lions, cheetahs, giraffes, elephants, buffalo, waterbuck, zebras, impalas, warthogs and lots of birds. Ahmed communicated with other guides and changed routes to give us the best experience possible. He took a bunch of amazing photos with a professional camera and shared them with us. What a treat! Our camp was great too. We stayed at the Wild Nest and they took good care of us, providing generous packed lunches and decent buffet breakfasts and dinners. Overall, Axis Safaris organized a fantastic trip for us and we highly recommend them!

This is a great trip to Africa that showed me the beauty of Kenya.Our guide Jeff is very experienced and very serious when helping us find animals and He cleans the car every day and is very humorous, which makes us laugh every time.Anyway, this is my most unforgettable trip. Waiting is a part of adventure
It was quite amusing to see two donkeys fighting at the sopa Hotel. In the early morning, there were monkeys walking around on the roof.
My friend and I stayed in Kenya for seven days. We mostly stayed at sopa hotels, which cost 2,240 dollars per person, including three meals and transportation (tour guide: jeff).

Peter Ngigi is a passionate, professional guide who made our Masai Mara safari unforgettable.
We recently returned from a 3-day safari in the Masai Mara and could not have asked for a better guide than Peter Ngigi. From start to finish, Peter was absolutely excellent—he is the perfect blend of friendly, professional, and deeply knowledgeable.
What really set Peter apart was his incredible intuition and skill on the ground. He had an uncanny ability to know exactly where to be and when, ensuring we were always in the right place to witness the best wildlife action. When we arrived at a sighting, his ability to maneuver the vehicle into the perfect position for photography was second to none. Thanks to him, we came home with some truly spectacular shots.
Beyond his driving and scouting skills, his knowledge of the animals was fascinating. He brought the Mara to life with his stories and insights, making the experience educational and immersive.
We would recommend Peter to anyone planning a trip to the Masai Mara. If you want a guide who is not only a pro but also a pleasure to spend time with, look no further!
