The tour took almost 6 hours and it was worth every second. Based on our experience, it’s completely worth it. We were very lucky and manage to see beautiful landscapes and a lot of animals such as elephants, giraffes, ńus, lions and more.

Our experience with Rafiki Tembo tours & Safari along with Lowassa and his team was by far the most positive, excellent, easy, and memorable travel experience we have ever had.
Lowassa was very easy and accommodating and patient to work with. He responded quickly and with professionalism, expertise, and answered all questions, addressed all concerns and took us through. The step-by-step process is needed to ensure that our Safari was 100% what we wanted.
We started in Kenya and visited Lake Nakuru and the Masi Mara. We crossed over into Tanzania and explored the Northern and Central Serengeti before heading to Ngorongoro Crater and flew from Arusha to Zanzibar to visit spice farms, took a Blue Safari to mangroves, sandbar in the middle of the Indian Ocean and snorkelled with amazing variety of fish and many different starfish we have never seen before. We also enjoyed a seafood BBQ and local beer before heading back.
The accommodations were spectacular: they were beautiful and up-to-date, comfortable and had something for everyone. The staff everywhere we went were so friendly and welcoming and demonstrated top quality customer service and care.
Our tour guides, George in Kenya and Deo in Tanzania were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, patient, they engaged with my children and always took the time to teach us about each country, the flora and fauna we were living among, and made the trip perfect.
I would HIGHLY recommend Lowassa and Rafiki Tembo Tours! We hope to return in the future - we did NOT want to leave.

A wonderful experience. A 60th birthday treat that didn’t disappoint. We were told to just bring our passports and that’s all we needed. Tanzania provided everything, views, animals, atmosphere and more. I couldn’t fault the value for money. Any questions were answered very swiftly and communication was excellent.

Excellent 3 days in Masai Mara
I joined the 4-day, 3-night Maasai Mara safari, and it was an unforgettable experience.
During the first two days in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, our guide, Raheem, was fantastic. He worked incredibly hard to help us find wildlife, and thanks to him we were able to see both a leopard and a cheetah from an amazingly close distance. One of the highlights was visiting the Mara River to watch the wildebeest gathering at the riverbank. Although we were a little unlucky and didn’t get to witness the actual river crossing, seeing hundreds of wildebeest preparing to cross was still breathtaking and is something I’ll never forget.
On the third day, our guide was Albert, and he was just as dedicated. He spent the entire day searching for wildlife and made sure we had the best possible sightings. We were lucky enough to watch a pride of lions feeding on a zebra, which was an incredible and unforgettable moment. We also watched elephants drinking at a waterhole. Albert was always willing to reposition the vehicle from different angles so everyone could capture the best photos without disturbing the animals.
A huge thank you to both Raheem and Albert for their knowledge, patience, and dedication. They truly made this safari an amazing experience that I will remember for a lifetime.

Doris was extremely approachable and kind toward us full of laughter and positive energy.
I had absolute blast during this Safari experience. Idris as our tour operator made this experience even better as he was always very attentive during our program but even in the free time he devoted his time toward teaching us about the Tanzania and its people. I want to shoutout his flexibility to adjust our schedule, making himself always available. He formed a great duo with Francis whose exceptional driving and tracking experience helped us discover so much of Nyerere Park, even spotting a group of lion and multiple towers of giraffes. In addition to being a great driver, he helped other Safari drivers to navigate through the wilderness and get unstuck from muddy terrains. I have learned a lot interesting facts from these two guides.
