Reliable and delivered what we booked with ease
The Safari provided viewing of many animals with a pleasant mix of on the water and land. Conditions were very dry and hot ,so not a great deal of activity away from the water's edge. We were well looked after- prompt pick up time and easy border crossing - in both directions. A great company to go with.

Truly amazing
What an amazing experience from beginning to end. We were picked up from our hotel and driven to the airport where our driver handed us over to airport staff who took us to our plane. When we arrived in Selous, Tiko our safari guide was there waiting for us. What a lovely man he turned out to be. The experience he provided for me and my husband was without doubt the best experience of my life.
We saw more amazing animals than I thought possible. We saw all four of the big five that live in this part of Tanzania. We watched a pride of lions sleeping under a tree, herds of elephants up close, buffaloes. And even a leopard resting in a tree. As well as lots of giraffes, zebras, warthogs, wildebeest, kudo, and so much more.
Tiko’s knowledge is amazing and we learned so much. Tiko has studied the ecology and animals academically and from years of experience in the bush. He knew everything about the symbiotic relationship between species of animals and plants which helped bring the experience to life for us.
We stopped for a breakfast picnic in front of a natural pool with wallowing hippos and crocodiles and a delicious lunch next to a 3000 year old baobab tree. All the time laughing, joking, sharing stories and having fun with the lovely Tiko. At the end of a full 11 hour amazing safari we watched the sunset over the savanna with a cold beer. Then Tiko took us to our amazing safari lodge, the food was delicious, the staff friendly and helpful and the huts beautiful, traditional, spacious and comfortable.
In the morning Tiko picked us up and took us to meet a Masai tracker and a bushman who took us on a walking safari which was brilliant fun, we saw some of the smaller animals including bush pigs, elephant shrew, and lion ants and another herd of elephants. We learned lots of other interesting things about the behaviours and diets of the animals and the bushman was very funny. We also did a boat safari that we also loved, especially the beautiful water birds.
When we came back to the lodge for lunch we found a table especially decorated for us as it was our honeymoon. We had told Tiko about our wedding and that we had left the party early to come on our honeymoon and he couldn’t believe that we hadn’t had a cake. When we finished lunch, Tiko and lots of the hotel staff came and sang and danced for us with a beautiful wedding cake all organised by the brilliant Tiko. Just perfect. Such a lovely thing to do for us.
When we got to the airport we discovered that our plane had been cancelled due to a mechanical issue. Just one of those things that can happen. Some of the passengers had to stay another night to get a flight the next morning but Tiko managed to get us home that day. Me on one plane and my husband a couple of hours later on another plane. Tiko stayed with my husband the whole time and made sure he got back to Zanzibar to be with me, even organising the taxi at Zanzibar airport. Thank goodness for Tiko.
