One in a lifetime experience
An Exceptional Safari Experience with Enzi Safaris
Our recent East Africa adventure with Enzi Safaris was nothing short of extraordinary.
I was part of a 15-person family and friends trip through East Africa, including game drives in the northern and central Serengeti. I have traveled extensively, including throughout Africa, and am certainly no stranger to African travel. For that reason, I am not easily impressed by safari operators. Enzi Safaris, however, exceeded our expectations in ways that truly stood out.
A major part of what made the experience so exceptional was the quality of our drivers and guides: Lemomo, Freddie, and Kinaru. Their knowledge of the wildlife, the Serengeti, and the rhythms of the environment was truly top-notch. But what impressed me most was their ability to understand the people they were serving.
With a group of 15, everyone naturally had different levels of experience, different interests, and different expectations. Our guides were remarkably attuned to those differences. They knew when to explain more, when to give us time simply to absorb what we were seeing, when to move on, and when to stay because something special was unfolding. They calibrated the experience beautifully so that everyone felt engaged, included, and invested. Their patience, attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine willingness to serve were evident throughout the trip.
I want to give a particularly special shout-out to Kinaru, who drove our truck. He was truly something special. Not only did he get us an incredible vantage point to witness what was quite literally a once-in-a-lifetime experience, the wildebeest crossing the Mara River, but he also made the experience even more memorable by regaling us with stories of his upbringing and his experiences as a Maasai warrior. His knowledge, warmth, humor, patience, and storytelling gave us a perspective on Tanzania and Maasai culture that no guidebook could provide. Having Kinaru as our driver was a privilege.
And last, but certainly not least, a very special thank you to Ally, the owner of Enzi Safaris and the person who organized our trip. Ally did an amazing job. Bringing together an experience for 15 family members and friends with different interests and expectations is no small task, and she managed to make the entire journey feel seamless and personal.
We were also especially grateful that Ally owns and operates a fully African-owned safari company. That made the experience even more meaningful. There was something very special about exploring Tanzania through a company that is African-owned, locally rooted, and deeply connected to the people, culture, and communities of the region.
Enzi Safaris delivered far more than a series of game drives. They created an experience that was personal, educational, exhilarating, and deeply connected to Tanzania. The combination of outstanding guides, genuine hospitality, local knowledge, and Ally's thoughtful organization made this a trip we will remember for years to come.
To Ally, Lemomo, Freddie, Kinaru, and the entire Enzi Safaris team: thank you for making an extraordinary journey even more extraordinary.
If you are considering a safari in Tanzania, I cannot recommend Enzi Safaris highly enough. They are the real deal.

An Unforgettable Family Safari with Aardvark Expeditions
Our safari with Aardvark Expeditions was truly an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Everything was exceptionally well organised, and the entire team went above and beyond to make our trip special.
What made the experience even more memorable was how wonderful the team was with our 5-year-old son and my pregnant wife. They were incredibly patient, thoughtful and attentive to our family’s needs throughout the entire trip. They made sure our son was engaged and excited during the game drives, while also taking extra care to ensure my wife was comfortable and able to enjoy the experience without feeling rushed or tired.
Our guide eile was outstanding — extremely knowledgeable, patient and passionate about wildlife. He had an incredible ability to spot animals that we would have completely missed, while also making the experience fun and interesting for our son.
The accommodation, transfers and overall arrangements were beyond excellent, and we always felt genuinely well looked after. The flexibility and personal attention from the team made a huge difference, especially when travelling with a young child and someone who is pregnant.
The wildlife experiences were incredible, and we came away with memories that our whole family will cherish for years to come.
A huge thank you to the entire Aardvark Expeditions team Philemon and Elie for making our family safari so special. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Aardvark Expeditions to anyone planning a Tanzania safari, especially families. We would absolutely choose them again!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Honeymoon Safari – Telly Africa Were Exceptional!
Our safari with Telly Africa was genuinely one of the highlights of our honeymoon and an experience we will remember for the rest of our lives. From the initial planning right through to the end of our safari, everything was organised brilliantly and exceeded our expectations.
A huge thank you to William, who helped me plan the entire trip from start to finish. What really stood out was the amount of time and care he put into the planning process. He went through each and every accommodation option in detail, explaining the differences and giving me the flexibility to tailor the itinerary exactly to what we wanted for our honeymoon. Nothing ever felt rushed or like a standard package – it felt completely personalised to us.
Our driver and guide, Habib, was absolutely fantastic. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife, the parks and Tanzania in general, while always being professional, patient and respectful. He made us feel comfortable throughout the entire safari and genuinely added so much to the experience.
And the safari itself was incredible! We were lucky enough to see the Big Five, which made an already special honeymoon even more unforgettable. 🦁🐘🐆🦏🐃 The wildlife, scenery and experiences we had were beyond anything we could have imagined.
Everything came together perfectly – the accommodation, organisation, game drives and personal service. You can tell that Telly Africa genuinely care about giving their guests an amazing experience rather than simply selling a safari package.
If you’re considering booking a safari in Tanzania, especially for something special like a honeymoon, I couldn’t recommend Telly Africa highly enough. William and Habib, thank you for helping make our honeymoon so memorable. It truly was the trip of a lifetime and we would book with Telly Africa again without hesitation!
10/10 experience from beginning to end. 🇹🇿❤️

Beware if you aren’t on a private safari!
Travelers beware!! I booked a 7 day shared safari through Wild Serenity, prior to booking I explained what was important to me and things I wanted in order to determine if the 7 day was right for me as I was comparing different itineraries with different companies etc.
I initially had sent an email responding that I wanted to book the 2 days in northern Serengeti and 2 in central. Hubily got back to me and stated that unfortunately that option was no longer available as the others on that itinerary cancelled. He then suggested and stated that in his professional advise a full day in northern Serengeti would be an excellent amount of time. Since being in the north was something that I really wanted and was a highlight of what I wanted, he assured me it would be a good amount of time so I booked it. I was sent the itinerary for the safari detailed out of what each day would look like. Unfortunately, what occurred was not what was in the itinerary for most of the 7 days.
On Day 2- I was picked up 40 min late from the hotel, driver came in and when I said I was with Wild Serenity Safari's he said no and walked out and then came back in and said oh yes, he didn’t know what company I was with
Day 3- The shared safari Itinerary stated we were to have a game drive in central Serengeti, this did not occur, the driver did not stop where multiple jeeps were and said we had to get to next stop. Driving 80kph to get to next stop- being our lodge. He dropped me and 2 other travelers off at the wrong lodge, and we had to get a different driver to take us 30 min to the correct lodge. The driver that night advised us he would be picking up the other at their accommodation and would leave there at 630 and pick us up at 730 and the other 2 at 830am.
Day 4- I was supposed to be picked up at 730am, I sat and waited for him until 940pm and everyone else had already left from the lodge. The lodge staff even kept saying “you are still here?” And apologized for the driver. When he finally got there, the others that had been in jeep said that driver got lost. Then we drive to northern Serengeti going 100 kph, so not able to see the animals or anything at that speed nor stop, and then we spent ONLY 57 min at Mara River and then when we asked to go to another area of the river the driver told us we had to leave to head back to the lodge. We then got lost on the way back to the lodge for 2 hours on the road where driver was turning around multiple times, this felt very unsafe and was very nerve wrecking. I was finally at lodge at 1030pm. I had sent Derek tour operator a message earlier in the day Confirming my balloon safari that I had previously booked for next day and he responded at 530pm saying it was booked and confirmed and all good to go. The Driver advised when we got to lodge that someone from balloon safari was coming to do the briefing, I was waiting until 1130pm and the lodge staff had to go wake up driver because I was still waiting, the lodge called the balloon company and they said there was no booking from the company for me. Thankfully the lodge staff and balloon safari staff were so nice and accommodating they got it worked o it, but I didn’t get to go to sleep until 1230 due to this knowing I had to wake up at 4am for it.
Day 5- 2 hour game drive on way out. This was the Only thing that went good and as planned as of then on the safari. But then after, on the drive out of Serengeti, I was advised 2 of the others had to go to airport so our day would end at noon the following day on day 6, I booked the 7-day safari and messaged Derek this. He said that due to them having to go to airport, we would be dropped off at our hotel around noon. Meaning our day activity of going to the crater, was cut short and I would be spending half of the day at a hotel despite booking a 7 day safari. I advised I didn’t pay for an additional day to sit in my hotel room and cut my day in half. I was upset that I had to even reach out and advise that this was not okay considering I booked 7 day safari not 6 and why would I pay for and book the 7 day if from noon on day 6 to morning of day 7, they were just going to drop me off at a hotel?
That is just a little bit of what occurred. Each day brought stress and uncertainty throughout the safari. The length of time spent driving from one accommodation to another was 2-3 hours if not more. I understand a shared safari, but nowhere in the original booking itinerary or agreement does it even give a disclaimer you could be driving 2-3 hours in between lodges just to pick up and drop off the people on your safari.
When I reached out about my concerns, I was met with excuse of I booked a shared safari and that I should have known that this is normal for a shared safari, I do not believe that having to spend more time driving and picking up people than actual safari time is normal. I was also then told that sometimes the “roads change” in the Serengeti and that was the cause of the 2 hour being late to pick me up because they couldn’t say why the driver didn’t map out the drive since he dropped us off and was made aware of the lodges the night before.
The level of disorganization for something that most people dream of doing and is a once in a lifetime trip for some was awful, so I warn you, if you don’t want to take the chance of having your safari trip and time ruined, do not book with wild serenity safari’s.

An unforgettable journey through Ethiopia with an exceptional guide
We had an incredible 7-day trip with Ethio Top Land Tours, covering the Simien Mountains, Gondar, Axum, the rock-hewn churches of Tigray, Lalibela and Addis Ababa. It was an ambitious itinerary, but everything was extremely well organised and we were amazed by how much we were able to experience in just one week.
Our guide Desale was one of the highlights of the trip. His knowledge of Ethiopian history and culture is excellent, but what we appreciated most was how much local insight he brought to every place we visited. He was always happy to explain things, introduce us to people and help us understand the country beyond the main sights. He even took us to his own village, which was a really special experience and gave us a glimpse of everyday Ethiopian life that we would never have found on our own.
The organisation behind the scenes was equally impressive. Weather caused several last-minute flight changes during our trip, but the company and manager handled everything immediately, adjusting hotels, transport and sightseeing so that we still managed to complete the entire itinerary. We never had to deal with the stress ourselves.
Great hotels and restaurant choices, excellent local knowledge and a team that genuinely knows how to look after its guests. Professional, trustworthy and flexible — I would highly recommend Ethio Top Land Tours.

Wonderful experience in Northern Ethiopia with a professional and caring team
Our journey through Ethiopia with Ethio Top Land Tours was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Ethiopia is such a fascinating country, and having such a reliable local company organising the journey allowed us to relax and really enjoy everything we were seeing.
We travelled through very different parts of northern Ethiopia, from the spectacular scenery of the Simien Mountains to the castles of Gondar, ancient Axum, the extraordinary churches of Tigray and Lalibela, before finishing in Addis Ababa. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, and we were very happy with the standard of the hotels and the restaurants recommended along the way.
A special thank you must go to our guide Desale, who looked after us so well throughout the trip. He was kind, patient and always attentive to what we needed. Travelling with someone who knows the country so personally made a huge difference, and his warmth and enthusiasm made even the long journeys enjoyable. He was also always there to help with practical things, including carrying and helping us with our luggage throughout the trip, which we really appreciated.
I was particularly impressed by how dependable the company was when things did not go according to plan. Bad weather caused unexpected changes to several of our domestic flights, but the team quickly found alternatives and adapted our schedule without us losing any of the important experiences we had travelled to Ethiopia for. They were even willing to cover the additional costs caused by these changes themselves, despite the circumstances being completely outside their control. It gave us great confidence knowing there was always someone taking care of the details.
The tour was also very good value for money. Everything that had been agreed was included in the price, with no hidden costs or unexpected charges, so we always knew exactly what we were paying for.
We came away with some wonderful memories and a much deeper appreciation of Ethiopia. A caring, dependable and very professional team that I would happily travel with again. Highly recommended.

Absolutely brilliant tour
Our recent safari in Kenya was absolutely unforgettable, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. The entire experience was seamless from start to finish.
A huge shoutout to our guide, Sebastian, who was the absolute star of the trip. He is incredibly experienced and has an almost supernatural ability to spot wildlife. Beyond his knowledge, he was incredibly accommodating, making sure we were comfortable and getting the best views at every stop.
The accommodation exceeded our expectations—clean, comfortable, and perfectly located to make the most of the wilderness. I also want to mention the Silas, the organiser, who replied to every message with impressive speed and made the booking process stress-free.
We had a wonderful time and have come home with memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you!

John was professional, organized, a wealth of information during his tours.
Everything went smooth on camp treks side. They were all excellent with communication and assisting through the whole tour with anyone’s needs. They were very experienced with all parks and had a tremendous amount of knowledge about animals, habitat, cultures, and the lay of the land. They went out of their way to make sure you were safe and took great stride in finding the animals and giving you the chance to have fantastic photos and memories for a life time. The hotels and campsites we stayed at were all hospitable and the food was great. We saw so many animals. You felt like you were in the National Geographic documentary. It was so amazing. A feeling of awe and wonder. I highly recommend Camp Trek. John, Simon, and Benson were great at their jobs. Best company and tour ever. Thank you all.

Top Notch Customer Service
A year ago, when I went to my bank to wire transfer a large deposit for our safari trip to Tanzania Roadside Expeditions, my banker looked deep into my eyes with worry: "Tanzania? Large amount? One year ahead deposit? You have never met the 'tour operator'? Are you out of your mind? Is this an international scam?"
Well, I just finished my 13-day Kenya-Tanzania safari with Tanzania Roadside Expeditions, and I can assure you, Tanzania Roadside Expeditions is not only a legitimate company, but they also distinguished themselves above all others while handling challenging situations. They showcase great leadership, grace, generosity, and excellent people skills.
The last day of our trip was a jeep ride from Masai Mara back to Nairobi International Airport. Because of the driver's miscalculation on timing, plus a series of unfortunate events, I was late to the airport. The airline canceled my entire two-leg flight and charged me a heavy fine for a "no-show." Nairobi airport terminal doesn't open for passengers who have no ticket; under the hot sun outside the building, I was fortunately able to secure a later flight. The price, including the no-show fine, was so high that it made me even hotter.
I called Tanzania Roadside Expeditions and explained what had happened. Paul, the great tour operator, immediately acknowledged that the driver didn't depart early enough, which caused my trouble. He didn't blame, didn't argue, didn't negotiate; he only asked to see the receipt of my new purchase. On behalf of his company, he took full responsibility and gracefully promised reimbursement for such unexpected costs. He wished me a safe flight home with his warm wishes. Standing in front of the Nairobi airport terminal, I was in tears from his kindness, understanding, and courage to shoulder his responsibilities with dignity. After all, this extra cost was a very big chunk of their income as well, yet he put his client's best interest as the top priority, all the way to the last day of the trip.
When I landed back home in Seattle, his reimbursement fund landed as well. I am amazed by this excellence.
Traveling sometimes takes unexpected turns, especially on a wild safari trip. But when you sign up with Tanzania Roadside Expeditions, Paul is there for you—he has you covered. Hakuna Matata!
