Adventure of a Lifetime
My mum and I booked a 7-day safari in Kenya with Edwin Safaris, with Peter as our contact in the office. We compared several companies, and Edwin Safaris was by far the quickest to respond and offered us the best price. From the very beginning, everything was easy and well organised.
Our safari guide was also called Peter (a different Peter from the one in the office), and honestly, he was the best guide we could have asked for! If you have the possibility, I would highly recommend specifically asking for him. His eyes are incredible, he somehow manages to spot animals that we would never have seen ourselves, even when they were hiding in the grass or far away.
One of the best pieces of advice Peter gave us was to get up early and start our game drives around 6:00 am. And I cannot recommend this enough! If you want to see the Big Five and especially the cats, listen to Peter and get up early, it is absolutely worth it!
We were incredibly lucky and saw all three big cats: lions, leopards and cheetahs, multiple times! And not just from far away. We saw them incredibly close up. In the early morning, the cats are active, hunting and moving around. Once the sun gets higher and the temperatures rise, they become much more relaxed and tend to lie around and sleep. So those early morning game drives really made all the difference.
And of course, we also saw the Big Five! Honestly, when we started the trip, I wasn't sure whether we would be lucky enough to see all of them. I never expected that we would have such incredible encounters with so many animals.
All of the hotels and accommodations throughout the safari were fantastic, and everyone we met was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The whole experience exceeded our expectations.
Thank you so much to both Peters and everyone at Edwin Safaris! This was a trip my mum and I will never forget, and without a doubt, the best safari we could have imagined.
If you are thinking about booking a safari in Kenya, I can wholeheartedly recommend Edwin Safaris — and if you can, ask for Peter as your guide! 🦁🐆🐘🦒❤️

Great experience!
We were on a 5 day safari trip to maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Navaisha och hell's gate national park with John as our guide. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and went out of his way to make sure that we saw all of the big five and that we had the best experience as possible. Highly recommend him as your guide if you want a fun and memorable adventure!

Best game drive operator for your first safari experience
KelvinMimi was our driver and guide on our 7-day safari. Within minutes of meeting him, I could tell he was an excellent driver who instilled a sense of safety and reliability behind the wheel—something that is important in Kenya. After the first day, I saw the passion he has for wildlife and how he shares that enthusiasm with his passengers. He was always looking for the best viewing angle and the perfect shot, making the most of every last minute to spot even more animals. On top of all that, he has a great sense of humor.
If I go on safari in Kenya again, it will undoubtedly be with Kelvin Mimi.

Accommodations issues, saved only by a great driver
If you book with Peak Season Africa Safaris, do not trust their "free upgrades"—it is likely a trick to cut costs and downgrade your stay. Check all their recommendations on booking and google.
Steven will be replying fast and confident but it's all a selling pitch.
We booked for 9 days, 11k USD safari, around 6months in advance. Right after sending prepayment, we were told our desired lodge was unavailable and were offered "upgrades at no extra cost". We were explicitly promised Deluxe Rooms at Mara Sweet Acacia in writing. Instead, we were dumped into their absolute worst, filthy tents (1-2 star quality at best). Only after aggressive escalation were we moved to mediocre cottages—still nowhere near the Deluxe standard we paid for and agreed on.
Mara Sweet Acacia is a total 3-star tourist trap falling apart at the seams: broken kettles, showerheads barely working at 30% pressure, towels on dusty shelves and overall walls looking like from third world.
Emayian had nice food, style and service, but the wind noise in the tents made sleep impossible. Only Kibo Camp in Amboseli delivered what was expected.
The Bright Spot: Patrick
The driver, Patrick, was knowledgeable, skilled, and worked hard to give us a great game-viewing experience. He deserves all the praise, but he cannot fix a dishonest agency approach.
Summary
The agency sold us high-end promises and pocketed the difference by booking inferior sweet accacia lodge while advertising it as 5* upgrade.

Very attentive to us
It's very complicate understand previouly how is the safari: the roads, distances, the accommodations, so the recomendatons and options previus of Safari from Vision Safari were importants.
The best: Ben our driver: very polite, good knowledge of nature, friedly and very good driver!

Amazing customer service and Safari experience
We went on safari to Kenya with Beyond the Plains and it was a fantastic experience. From the moment we reached out to them they assigned one person -Maurine- to tailor made our safari according to our (ever changing) wishes. Maurine was amazing from start to finish (including post travel check ins to see if we arrived home safe) and no ask was too small for her. It was by far the best customer service I have ever received from a tour operator (and I dealt with some UK’s premium ones in the past).
Our guide/driver was Steve and he was also first rate. Very knowledgable, showed us all the animals there were to see during safari (including the Great Migration at Masai Mara and the elusive leopard) and he is also a great company.
Would definitely recommend Beyond the Plains to anyone looking for a top notch safari operator in Kenya and would love to go on another African safari with them again.

Everything was Perfect under every point of view. This Journey will remain in my heart!
Everything was perfect, just as the agency described before departure. The lodges were as magnificent as I expected, and at some you could even stay among the animals roaming freely around the rooms. But the greatest credit goes above all to the guide, Mimi Kelvin, who made this experience unique! A driver who flies across the tracks as if he invented them himself, capable of sniffing out animals even before they appear and ready to turn every request of yours into the perfect unexpected detour. Thanks to him, we saw all the Big Five and were able to capture incredible scenes that I will remember forever!! Thank you

Fantastic
Fantastic experience in Kenya with Axis Africa Safaris!
Our safari with Axis Africa Safaris was simply flawless and unforgettable. The organization was excellent, but what made the trip truly special was our guide, Mimi Kelvin. With great expertise, patience, and passion for nature, Mimi allowed us to spot so many animals and fully enjoy every single moment. I highly recommend this agency, and especially the guide Mimi Kelvin, to anyone looking to go on a safari in Kenya!

Incredibly warm-hearted and welcoming tour operator who was very eloquent in describing the scenery
My friends and I booked a short safari with PM Safaris Rwanda to make the most of our time around a wedding we were attending in Kigali late this past June. From the very first inquiry, their communication was prompt, transparent, and immensely helpful in tailoring an itinerary that fit perfectly into our tight schedule.
