Jacob is a true professional, took us to see the Big Five in just two days with 4 of them being on the first day. Excellent driver, took us to see the animals without stressing them or annoying the wildlife. He spots animals with ease from hundreds of meters away and overall is a great great guide

Safe, reliable, helpful
5/5

We arrived in Moshi and got talking to a guy on the street who recommended us Bora Trekking. He came and met us within minutes and explained what he could offer. We went to his office and had a chat. Agreed on prices for trekking Kilimanjaro, toilet, gear and all that’s needed. We went two days later. He came to check our gear and dropped off a bag for the porters to carry our stuff in, then 1 hour later he got his team of 10 merry men to take us up to the start - it was a great experience.

Not Bora trekkings fault, but do check out the gear you hire before climbing. My zipper on sleeping bag was broke, would have been a disaster if it couldn’t have been fixed with needle and thread. So just check the stuff before you set off.

We also went to see the waterfall with him. He took us personally and it was a great day out.

And he collected us from our hotel yet again and arranged to go see the hot springs.

We can highly recommend Bora Trekking. He works with the locals and will help you out with anything, restaurants, hotels whatever you need.

very experienced, funny, good English, perfect pacing, a guy youd want to hang out with in private
5/5

We had Andrew Kamau as a guide and were astonished by the proffesionalism of him and Axis. He was funny, very experienced with a good English, led us to alle the big five and much more and always knew when to speed up on a "mission" and when to slow down, take a photo/washroom/lunch break to make this exhausting trip really enjoyable and memorable throughout.
The diversity and amount of wildlife to be seen was way beyond what we were expecting, and we felt that Kenyans in general had really made preservation a priority for their country and are rightfully proud of the success.
Vegan or vegetarian options on this tour and in Kenya in general have a way better availability than in many European countries.
We were wondering before the vacation, if it could be worth it, to rent a car and do the drives ourselves, but gladly decided against it and booked this fantastic pretty much all inclusive tour. Just lean back and enjoy all the wonders on the way, you do not need to drive on Kenyan highways and through Savannah rivers, all the Hotels, entrance fees and Lunch options are prearranged for you.
We also had a "special" wish granted in dropping us off on the way back to Nairobi with all our luggage near Naivasha. Communication before our trip was flawless and really helped us to get the most out of our vacation.
Only thing Axis should review in their process: Tripadvisor has a field for Hotel-pickup-time that let us choose 7:30 (which would have been to late anyway considering the 8:00 start at the Headquarters that we couldnt know of). At midnight before, the driver told us he would arrive at 7:00, making it impossible for us to take our hotel breakfast or arrange a breakfast bag or something. So probably review the options given in this field or communicate changes from that plan at least half a day in advance.
Thank you for the fun time and all the memories!

A must-visit in this lifetime: a hunting trip
5/5

This was hands down the best safari itinerary I have ever experienced in my life! From the moment we stepped into the reserve, every second was filled with pure wonder. Thanks to our expert guide's incredible tracking skills, we not only got up close with the magnificent "Big Five" (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo) but also witnessed thousands of wild animals roaming freely across the plains. If you are looking for a soul-stirring adventure that perfectly blends wild exploration with luxury, I highly recommend this safari. It will exceed all your expectations!

Nicole was outstanding!
5/5

Axis was a great value for a your. In fact, I feel it was way beyond what you would expect at this price point. The company is so organized and communicates so well with their staff. The tour guides themselves collaborate to ensure all guests get what they need. If one tour guide sees an animal- they call each other to share the location, etc. Also, the guides are so professional and polite- and so knowledgeable about the animals so they share such interesting facts! Their number one goal is to make sure get experience everything you hoped for. We had an amazing guide, Nicole, who knew do many facts and went far and beyond to take us to all the animals. I would highly recommend this company!

Safari to Ngorongoro Crater
5/5

Our safari to the Ngorongoro Crater was a wonderful experience, and everyone in our group had a great time. The landscape was breathtaking, and we were lucky enough to see a wide variety of animals in their natural habitat.

During the safari, we saw rhinos, lions, hippos, wildebeest, buffalo, zebras, monkeys, and many different species of birds. It was amazing to see so many animals up close and to experience the incredible wildlife of the Ngorongoro Crater.

Our guide was exceptionally friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. He took us to all the best places to see the animals and made sure that we had a great experience throughout the entire safari. He explained a lot about the animals, the landscape, and the crater, and he was able to answer all of our questions.

For lunch, we were provided with a lunch box, which was absolutely sufficient and gave us everything we needed for a relaxing break during the day.

Overall, the safari was an unforgettable experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and would definitely recommend this safari to anyone visiting the Ngorongoro Crater. It was well organized, informative, and full of amazing wildlife encounters.

Amazing experience
5/5

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Serengeti Savanna Adventure and especially Eric, who helped me put together a truly unforgettable trip through Tanzania.

As a solo female traveler, feeling safe and looked after was very important to me, and Eric went above and beyond. He regularly called to make sure everything was going well, and even after I had left Tanzania, he contacted me to check that I’d had a good flight and was ready for my next connection. That level of personal care says so much about him and the way he runs his company.

My itinerary also changed quite a bit along the way! As I travelled, I started discovering what I really wanted to see and experience, so I added things, removed others, and changed plans several times. Eric was incredibly flexible and patient. Nothing ever seemed to be a problem he simply worked with me to make the trip exactly what I wanted it to be.

Another huge highlight was my guide, Nassir. Since I was travelling alone, it was just the two of us, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to share this adventure with. He was respectful, knowledgeable, patient and so much fun. Even after very long safari days, we would have dinner or breakfast together, laugh, talk and share stories.

What made the experience particularly special was that Nassir took me beyond the typical tourist route. I had the opportunity to see places that very few tourists visit and experience parts of everyday Tanzanian life that most visitors never get to see. Those moments became some of my favourite memories of the entire trip.

By the end, Nassir and I had gotten to know each other so well that I truly believe I left Tanzania with a friend for life.

Serengeti Savanna Adventure didn’t simply organize a safari for me they helped create one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I felt safe, cared for and free to shape the journey as I went.

I left Tanzania already thinking about coming back. Hopefully next year I’ll return with friends and explore some of the places I simply didn’t have enough time to visit this year.

Thank you, Eric, Nassir and Serengeti Savanna Adventure. This truly was the trip of a lifetime.

Excellent safari tour!
5/5

We booked our safari in advance with Savanna Hippo Safari. From the very beginning, Stanley gave us a very detailed description of the different safari options. Once we had chosen our itinerary, Stanley helped us arrange everything smoothly, taking into account some difficulties we had with making international transfers.
Stanley also kindly met us at the airport together with his driver. We met him in person and were absolutely charmed by what a thoughtful, caring and kind person he is.
Stanley helped us organize a walking tour of Mombasa, found a guide for us, helped us get a good currency exchange rate, and gave us lots of useful advices to make our holiday comfortable, safe and interesting.
Then we went on a three-day safari with Stanley and his driver, Steve. We had a comfortable private vehicle and visited both East and West Tsavo. These were two completely different experiences.
In the first part of the safari, we saw so many animals, including a pride of lions just a few meters away from us. At our lodge, we could watch elephants, zebras, buffaloes and marabou storks gathering at the waterhole right outside our window and from the restaurant. It was an absolutely breathtaking experience.
In the second part, we stayed at an extraordinary camp. There was a pond on the property inhabited by hippos, crocodiles and turtles, as well as many little monkeys roaming around. We also had the opportunity to go on a walking safari, which was a completely different experience — seeing wild animals at such a close distance was truly unforgettable.
In the evening, we went on a night safari, where we saw many animals, including a leopard, which was an incredible stroke of luck.
All the guides were extremely knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The food everywhere was exceptionally delicious, the service was excellent, and everyone we met was incredibly kind and welcoming.
Stanley accompanied us all the way to our hotel, made sure that we checked in successfully, and also kindly arranged our transfer from the hotel to the airport.
We would like to thank Stanley from the bottom of our hearts for this unforgettable journey, for his professionalism, kindness and care. Every day of our itinerary was carefully planned so that activities and relaxation were perfectly balanced. We had plenty of time to truly enjoy ourselves, relax and simply take in the beauty of Kenya.
We wholeheartedly recommend Stanley and Savanna Hippo Safari for anyone planning a trip to Kenya!
Asante sana!
From Russia with love,
Maxim & Tatiana

Exceptional support from planning to the summit – Machame Route 6N/7D
5/5

I climbed Kilimanjaro with three friends and colleagues on the seven day Machame Route with Weltweit Adventures, completing the climb in September 2026. All four of us successfully reached Uhuru Peak and, at 60 years old, it was one of the hardest but most rewarding things I have ever done.

My experience with Weltweit began many months before we arrived in Tanzania. Baraka handled the organisation personally and was excellent throughout. I asked a considerable number of questions about the route, equipment, hired gear, accommodation, transfers and preparations, and he was consistently patient, responsive and reliable. Arrangements were clear, prices were transparent and I felt we received very good value for the level of service and support provided.

Once we arrived in Moshi, everything worked as planned and that same personal approach continued onto the mountain. Our guides and the entire mountain crew were outstanding: professional, friendly, hardworking and genuinely committed to getting us safely as far as our individual abilities would allow.

The four of us had different walking speeds and experienced different challenges. I was considerably slower than the others at times, particularly higher on the mountain, but I was never made to feel that I was holding anyone up. The guides adapted to us as individuals, and I was given the time, encouragement and support I needed to keep going.

Summit night was extremely tough. We experienced some difficulties in the darkness and extreme cold, but the speed, experience and knowledge of the guides and porters in recognising and responding to symptoms enabled us to continue safely. The guides cannot climb Kilimanjaro for you, but they can give you the best possible opportunity to succeed, and that is exactly what this team did. All four of us stood together at Uhuru Peak.

The wider crew deserve equal recognition. Camps were well organised, the food was remarkably good considering the conditions, and there was an enormous amount of work taking place behind the scenes every day.

Our climb also had a special purpose as we were raising funds and awareness for UNICEF's work for children. Baraka understood how important this was to us and Weltweit embraced the spirit of the challenge. It felt very much as though the Tanzanian crew were sharing the challenge with the four of us rather than simply supporting another group of climbers.

Kilimanjaro is a serious mountain and should not be underestimated. Having now experienced it, I appreciate even more how important it is to choose a reliable operator and a good mountain team.

I would have no hesitation in using Weltweit Adventures again. Baraka and his team gave us excellent service from the first preparations until the end of the climb and an experience I will remember for the rest of my life.

Our mountain team consisted of 18 guides and porters, and every member of that crew deserves credit for what they did for us. I would, however, like to give a special mention to Matthew, Thomas, Majidi, Richard, Steven and Kareme for the individual support and kindness they showed along the way.

Four of us started together. Four of us stood on the Roof of Africa.

Thank you, Baraka, and thank you to the entire Weltweit Adventures team.
