An amazing 15-day safari with Meektrails!
My husband and I traveled with 2 friends for the first 9 days of our 15-day safari and then each couple travelled on their own for the remaining time in Kenya. Meektrails did a great job of facilitating our different travel needs and interests. During our 15-day safari we travelled to Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Samburu and Ol Pajeta. It was amazing to see the diverse geography of the country! Each lodge and camp booked by Meektrails was excellent! The accommodations were clean and well cared for, the food was outstanding and the staff were always attentive, friendly and kind.
The itinerary Meektrails came up with ran smoothly and there were no issues experienced throughout our safari. Gadson did a great job curating the various destinations, their sequence, and the accommodations. The jeep was also quite new and in good condition.
A very special shout out has to go to our incredible guide Joseph Kariuki! He truly made our safari experience magical! He has eagle eyes and was able to spot animals and birds before we even noticed them! Joseph has encyclopedic knowledge of the animals, birds and plants of Kenya and was always open to answering our MANY questions. His professionalism, patience, kindness and willingness to be flexible and make adjustments to plans was very much appreciated. His driving was safe and we always felt secure in his hands. Joseph never rushed us when watching wildlife and ensured that we had the best opportunity for viewing. Joseph always made sure that the jeep was clean and prepared for each outing and looked out for our well being. Joseph shared information about Kenya and his own life that truly enhanced our experience and understanding of Kenya. We feel that we now have a friend in Kenya in Joseph! Excellent experience, best diver, best hotel, best natural landscape, best animals
This African safari was an absolutely unforgettable adventure. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, with sharp eyes for spotting wildlife. We encountered lions, elephants, giraffes and many other wild animals in their natural habitat. The open‑top jeep gave us fantastic photographic opportunities. Though the roads were bumpy and dusty, every moment was rewarding. Highly recommended for nature and wildlife lovers.

This trip was everything I dreamed of
From the early stages of planning our trip to the final goodbyes at the Arusha airport, Ozon Light Tour took care of everything. Letson was my first contact with the company and he helped me plan an incredible 7 day safari including a hot air balloon ride to celebrate my 50th birthday with my husband. Letson was always quick to respond and answered all of my questions. When my friend decided to join our trip Letson easily took care of everything and was able to add my friend with her own accommodations at each of our stops. When we arrived at Kilimanjaro airport the driver was waiting for us with a sign. He drove us to our hotel in Arusha. That evening Letson came to the hotel to introduce himself in person, to make sure we didn’t have any questions and that our safari guide, Agustine, would be at the hotel the next morning at 8am. Agustine was prompt and offered us a friendly welcome and to my surprise my name was on a decal on the sides of the safari vehicle. Our tour took us through Tarangire National Park, Central & Northern Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara. The animal sightings were surreal and breathtaking. At the end of each day we would talk about how incredible the entire day was and then the next day would be even better. From picnic lunch on a table set up in the middle of the Serengeti to sunset champagne toasts (and even a little dancing) in the quiet of the plains. Agustine was so knowledgeable about the animals and their behaviors. He was so great about positioning the vehicle so we could enjoy the views and get great photos. On the night of my 50th birthday the safari tented lodge we were staying at surprised me with a cake & candles along with singing…all arranged by Agustine without me knowing. Each of the mid range accommodations we stayed at were fantastic and the staff at each welcoming. The entire trip was seamless and perfect and completely on budget for us.

We were on a shared‑group safari and every member loved him. Hands‑on professional, patient, knowledgeable and great‑natured.
He patiently answered all our questions about Kenyan culture, education and society during long drives, and tried his best to meet all our wishes. He remembered we’d missed the sunset in Masai Mara and got us a perfect shot three days later in Amboseli. Thanks to his radio coordination, we found the dream- like elephant herds below Kilimanjaro. He helped us take plenty of fun group photos and quickly solved our payment issue at Hells Gate when we had no internet.
This trip felt less like a random tour group and more like a lovely little class:one head teacher in charge of seven chatty kids. Full‑packed, joyful and great emotional experience. 10/10!

Amazing experience
The experience was fantastic. Our guide was passionate and always proactive, constantly scanning the landscape to find animals for the guests. He positioned the vehicle well for photos and was patient while we shot. Furthermore, he always kept a precise distance from the animals, so we could see them clearly without disturbing them.

The best once in a lifetime safari experience!!
Our experience with Ambomara African Safaris was truly wonderful from start to finish! We did a 3days Masai Mara Safari by road from Nairobi. Despite having a packed itinerary, the entire trip felt completely hassle-free and worry-free because everything was so thoughtfully planned and flawlessly organized.

Smooth operation with the best guide
Our tour took us to Rwanda and Uganda. We saw the Kigale Genocide Memorial, the Golden Monkeys, the Mountain Gorillas in Uganda, and Lake Bunyonyi. The scenery was stunning in both countries and the close encounters with the animals they are working hard to protect was something special.
Every step of the way our guide, Isaac, was on time, helpful, and smiling. He got us where we needed to be, helped us navigate the national park staging areas and boarder crossings, and was great company throughout our time in these beautiful and welcoming countries.
Additionally, he went the extra mile to ensure we made it to the airport in the middle of the night for a very early flight.
