Absolute Phenomenal
5/5

Our safari was phenomenal; we saw a wide variety of animals beyond the famous "Big Five"—and, in fact, I was actually most excited about seeing things other than the Big Five. Our guide, Gerald, was incredibly knowledgeable about where to take us and deeply understood the animals themselves. I highly recommend the tour.

Incredible experience!! Very good safari
5/5

Such an incredible safari, our guide Gerald was so experienced and knowledgable, and I have no idea how he managed to spot so many animals whilst driving! He was very good at predicting their movements, driving around the other cars to get us the best views, and answering all our questions. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it! Proper hot lunches whilst other tour operators/groups had sandwiches. We stayed in the camping option and it was some of the nicest camping I've done! I only wish it could have been longer. Gerald was genuinely the best guide we could have asked for, and he felt like a lucky charm with all the animals and encounters we experienced! There could have been slightly better communication prior to starting the tour, but once you reach out they are prompt replying and giving you all the info you need.

Gerald was amazing very knowledgeable about all animals and made sure we saw as much as possible
5/5

This safari was amazing! Definitely a once in a lifetime experience. I did the camping 5 day safari. Camping whilst the animals were just walking around was so cool definitely think camping was a different and in my opinion better than staying at the lodges. Being able to see the animals in their natural habitat and see their behaviours was amazing. The environment and animals was so beautiful. Our guide definitely made the experience better. Gerald made sure that we saw as much as possible and prioritised the things we hadn’t seen yet. He was able to answer every question and also had information to share about each animal seen. All food was delicious as well and plenty of it.

Gerald was a very great guide always sharing his knowledge and provided us the best experience
5/5

We did a 5 day tour (Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro) and stayed at the campsites. It was definitely worth the money, because our guide Gerald was amazing and we saw basically everything, we got very lucky.
Another group had not such a good guide though, so it might vary a bit, just ask for Gerald :P
You'll drive a lot of time, so consider taking the 6 day tour to Serengeti if you want to take it a bit slower, for me 5 was perfect though.
Also consider those are real campsites and you sleep in tents on simple matresses. If that's fine for you save on the money for the lodges, otherwise strongly consider them. In the end the markup for the safaris will basically only give you better accommodations and maybe food. The experience of the game watch will always be the same, no matter the price.

Reliable operator with amazing guide (Gerald)
5/5

Loved our safari with Gerald! He made sure to tend to our needs, gave us a lot of time to observe the animals and took the time to share his knowledge with us which was amazing. We did the 5-day-tour including Lake Manyara which I particularly liked since it's a very green national park.
The accommodations were totally fine (we did the more low budget tour with camping for $1000) but don't expect a lot of luxury or anything. The tents were very good quality and spacious enough for two people.
Overall great value for money!
Our group was great too, all similar of age in their 20s to 30s.

Perfect safari & more
5/5

We had an incredible three-week experience in Tanzania and Rwanda, including safaris in the Southern Circuit, monkey and gorilla trekking, a retreat on the shores of Lake Kivu, and finally, a relaxing stay in Zanzibar. Everything was arranged and booked by Gorille Africain Tours (GAT).

I can only say that everything was perfect! The itinerary was exciting and varied, and the entire trip was executed smoothly and flawlessly. Behind it all was the warmhearted GAT team, always responsive and ready to help with any questions or concerns.

We feel very fortunate to have found a tour operator that combines outstanding logistical planning with such genuine personal care. Without a doubt, we’ll choose GAT again for our next adventure!

A Time was had
5/5

We had a great time on our trip! From planning to arrival and all the time in between Raymond was great! He was very patient with me with all one questions worries and concerns. Found red year of planning whenever we needed he jumped on a call with us and talked us through whatever the questions were.min the safari he was very knowledgeable about the animals and the areas. He made sure we was able to see 4 out of the big 5 and took us around till the very end. He also helped coordinate some of our activities and drivers in Zanzibar! If we go on a Safari again it will definitely be with Raymond and his team!
