The perfect tour operator for an incredible motocycle tour!!!

Face to Face with East Africa’s Wildlife: An Adventurous Motorcycle Tour
In October 2026, we embarked on an unforgettable 14-day motorcycle journey through Tanzania and Kenya. The booking and support through Motor2travel went flawlessly, and the on-site service from our tour guide, Goodluck, and his Lion Motorcycle Adventure Tanzania team—including a mechanic and a support vehicle driver—was truly outstanding. We had been looking forward to this trip for a long time, but the actual experience exceeded all our expectations!
We started our journey in Arusha on lightweight, nimble 250cc enduro bikes. They proved to be the perfect choice, as roughly 80 percent of our route took us along gravel tracks and off-road trails through pristine landscapes. Basic off-road and gravel riding skills are highly recommended, as is a passion for exploring off the beaten path. Fortunately, Goodluck worked closely with us to adapt the difficulty of the routes to how we were feeling each day, ensuring everyone stayed comfortable and safe.
This approach allowed us to discover both countries away from the crowds and experience incredibly warm, genuine connections with the local people. Small gifts like pens or balloons served as wonderful icebreakers, sparking countless beautiful moments, especially with the children we met along the way.
The accommodations were fantastic across the board. The eco-lodges on the Tanga Coast and in Amboseli—complete with stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro—were absolutely spectacular. Every single place was pristine, well-maintained, and staffed by incredibly friendly people.
However, the absolute highlight of the trip—and something we have never experienced on any of our many previous motorcycle tours—was encountering the savanna’s wildlife directly from our bikes. Seeing elephants, zebras, and giraffes up close created memories that will stay with us forever. After 14 days, we returned to Arusha, completely overwhelmed by an incredible wealth of positive impressions.

Great organisation and communication
5/5

Had an amazing experience with Kubwa 5! Betty worked with us to create a personalised gorilla trekking itinerary and was very proactive in communicating with us. Our guide Andrew was also very knowledgeable and kind. Thank you for the great hospitality!

Great in unexpected ways
5/5

I found Jocky Tours through a suggestion by ChatGPT, and then checked reviews and offers through the Safari Bookings website. I got a response super fast from David, whom I coordinated with for the rest of the planning process. David was super fast with his responses and as accommodating as he could be with requests, giving me all the reassurance I needed before making the booking. I also compared Jocky’s offer against 6 other companies, ranging from mid-budget to luxury options, and Jocky’s 6 day Masai Mara-Nakuru-Amboseli trip came out on top in terms of overall value for money.

Pros for me were that:
- We had the same driver/guide and group of travellers throughout, which most safari companies don’t offer (or at least didn’t offer to me).
- We picked the mid-budget option, within which David allowed me to choose Mara Wild Nest, Hill Court Hotel in Nakuru, and Amboseli Mountain View for accommodations. And out of all our co-travellers, we had the best stay experience.
- Our guide and driver Alex Jenga was super kind and informative. He’s a bit blind or his glasses probably need a higher power so he often doesn’t spot animals easily, but that wasn’t a problem for us as he stopped whenever we saw something and always tried to get as close to animals as possible (without disturbing them or doing anything illegal). Alex was also super empathetic and helpful in general whenever anyone had any issues or concerns, including dropping my partner and I off at a different city on the way back to Nairobi because we had a last minute change in plans, and helping us get local bus tickets as he knows the language and could pay with m-pesa.
- No other agency could beat the price offered by Jocky, even with the same lodgings, itinerary, and vehicle.

Cons:
- The Land Cruiser itself wasn’t super comfortable. The seats are slightly inclined so after 6 days of constantly being in the car, my lower back hurt. The same applied to my partner and all co-travellers. However I expect this to be the same case for other similar agencies as well. Just something to be aware of.

Good driver, nice days
5/5

Anton did well! Our shared car was a nice crew as well. Have seen lots but were always aware that this is nature and we can't expect anything. Anton cared well for us not online for the safari but for accomodation and food.
