Unbeatable value for money
5/5

I went with Christopher on a safari in Botswana last September. I'd wanted to see the Okavango Delta for, oh at least 15 years, but could never afford the 'better known' travel agency prices... especially with a single supplement on top. Christopher, however, managed to design a fabulous itinerary taking in several national parks and included 3 nights in the much anticipated Delta. The camping on Chief Island in Moremi was very basic to be fair but it still felt awesome to BE there at looong last... there was no one else at all on that island and it made everything more intense.

The game drives were good fun too - like treasure hunts really. I'm an avid photographer, have travelled extensively all over Eastern & Southern Africa but it was refreshing this time to travel with someone who understood that lighting is everything in photography and knew where to position the jeep to avoid shadows or back-lit subjects (if at all possible of course as wildlife is unpredictable).

The Backpackers place he'd booked us in Maun was an absolute gem, with a en-suite permanent tent. The owner knew him well and it could be why we secured one of the very best tents, right by the river. When you think of what the top luxury lodges charge in this part of the world... the whole trip was amazing value for money.

I enjoyed it so much in fact that I'll be doing another TWO safaris with Christopher in 2014. The first one in Zambia over Easter. I'd mentioned when we were in Botswana that I'd always wanted to go to South Luangwa and within weeks he came back to me saying he would organise something there ! Can't beat that kind of service ;) He really listens and is a Maker of Dreams Come True as far as I'm concerned... after that I'll join his South Tanzania tour in Selous & Ruaha early Nov 2014... and I'm also hoping to go to Papua New Guinea with Indigo Safari, probably in 2015...

Too many places, too little time, too little money... but at least with Christopher one can easily get "4 trips for the price of 1.5" elsewhere ! For those of us who have more sense than money Indigo Safari is a real godsend...

Thanks again for everything Christopher and for all the thorough & well illustrated notes before we go away too. Keep on living your life to the full.... 'Travel like there's no tomorrow'....

Exactly What You'd Hope!
5/5

We went as a group of educators and zoo staff from Minnesota, with a mixed background in what to expect. Simon was our main guide and could not have been a more perfect host. We felt like we got the absolute best animal sightings and anecdotal information possible. The homemade food, camaraderie and lodging were also great. We went in winter, so it was easy to see the animals that were out, and Simon was great about letting us view and take pictures to our heart's content. We saw everything except a cheetah and wild dogs. I would absolutely book with Wild Wings again, and hope to bring my family.

Excellent company!
5/5

Everything was perfect - the Selous Impala camp really looked after us and he service was second to none. All the employees were amazing. Echo Beach was the most perfect destination for our honeymoon and the most beautiful setting I have ever seen. Again all the people that worked there, especially the owners made us feel very welcome and really looked after us. The perfect honeymoon destination.

Pure Zanzibar were so helpful in giving us advice on the perfect honeymoon before we actually booked. They made sure we were going to an intimate destination in Zanzibar and also a luxury safari experience that was right for us. They also helped with all our questions before we went and nothing was too much trouble.

Excellent service
5/5

I'm a tour operator who makes use of the services of Catz Tours to transfer my guests and take them on tour. To date my guests have all left with happy smiles and high praise for Henry and Annekie. Their knowledge of all things South Africa and their passion for South Africa, the people and wildlife always shines through in the comments my guests send me.

Excellent and Very Accommodating Safari Company
5/5

Two friends and I went on a Safari with Kenya Walking Survivors Safaris Ltd in December 2013 and we are very happy with their service. We only had a short time to see as much as possible and the company designed a tour specially to suit our budget and what we wanted to see. We toured through the Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, The Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater in 6 days. A change of guide was needed with the change of country but we were able to keep our cook, which provided some continuity on the trip.
The guides were professional, friendly and adapted their guiding to our needs and interests. We only had small cameras so they worked hard to get us as close as possible to the animals. We were able to tell them what we wanted to see and they both focused on finding that for us.
Food was provided for most of the trip and the lunch stops as well as the food prepared for us was again adapted to our tastes and diets. It was also delicious.
Everyone involved with the company was polite, friendly and suitably relaxed with us. I would highly recommend the company to anyone with any budget.

Perfect allround service and care
5/5

After our wedding at the south coast of Mombasa we spend a week on Safari in Amboseli and Tsavo. We were a group of 27 people and Aslan Adventure Tours & Travel organised the whole trip for us and took care of us during this period. The group ranged from experienced traveller to the "never been in Africa before" person and we only experienced great accommodation, perfectly planned trips and very friendly service in every regard. Since then we booked several more trips, flights and accommodation. The communication via email is sometimes a bit delayed, telephonically Aslan helps you around the clock.

A truly extraordinary experience
5/5

Safari is a Swahili word which means journey. For me this safari turned out to be a journey of self discovery as well as a study of the native wild life. I also gained an understanding of the day by day struggle in a rapidly expanding African country to develop an ecologically balanced understanding of the relationship between man, the native birds, animals, and aquatic life and the earth which we all must share.
The Open Heart Safari website contains a section entitled “who should go?’ This is Tom’s list of what or who makes a good fit for an Open Heart Safari. Each item on the list is “right on” and the trip is designed to make sure that the experience is one that will have a significant impact on the participants. You will be cleansed of preconceptions, your values will be challenged and changed, your emotions will be jolted, there will be tears and laughter, and possibly some sheer terror depending upon your reaction to up close and personal encounters with Nile crocodiles, full grown six ton elephants, and a hippo named Lucas who may just sleep outside your door! And believe me, your heart will be opened.
And perhaps best of all, you will become, as I did, close friends with and share some unforgettable experiences with a group of like minded people who care deeply about the enjoyment of nature and wildlife and the preservation of one of the last truly wild and natural places on our planet.

Friendly and helpful safari company
5/5

From the moment we were picked up from the airport to the moment we were dropped off, Kenya Walking Survivors Safaris took great care of us! When planning our safari, all emails were answered quickly and they worked with us to make sure we saw everything we wanted while staying within our budget. The food prepared for us was delicious and all staff were friendly and personable.

I would recommend Kenya Walking Survivors Safaris to anyone thinking of a safari!
