Amazing 6 days in Maasai Mara, Amboseli and Nairobi
My son and I had an unforgettable journey through Kenya—an experience filled with moments and memories we will treasure for a lifetime. Our travel advisor, Wanja, played a pivotal role in making it all possible. She thoughtfully guided us through a range of options, helping us design an itinerary that perfectly matched our vision of a safari and cultural adventure. Her patience and flexibility in accommodating our changes, along with her detailed emails and calls, ensured that we were well prepared before setting out.
On our first morning in Nairobi, Wanja and her team personally met us at our hotel before driving us to Wilson Airport for our flight to the Karen Blixen Camp in the Maasai Mara. Our stay there was nothing short of magical. From the delicious breakfasts and dinners to the attentive service, every detail was carefully considered. The game drives—both morning and evening—were spectacular, giving us the chance to witness wildlife in its natural habitat. Our tent, perched on the banks of the Mara River, offered a unique soundtrack of rushing waters mingled with the grunts of hippos—an unexpectedly calming backdrop to our stay. A highlight was the balloon safari, which provided a breathtaking new perspective of the Maasai Mara that I would recommend to anyone.
From there, we traveled to Amboseli, where we stayed at the beautiful Tawi Lodge. Nestled amid a strikingly arid landscape, our hut was both rustic and luxurious, with views of Mount Kilimanjaro that felt almost surreal. The cuisine and service were world-class—on par with a Michelin-starred restaurant.
Our journey concluded back in Nairobi, where we visited Nairobi National Park and were fortunate enough to see rhinos up close. We also enjoyed a memorable meal at the famed Carnivore restaurant, a true culinary adventure, followed by a visit to the Nairobi National Museum. Learning about Kenya’s colonial past and its path to independence added a deeply enriching layer to our trip.
Looking back, every stop offered something special—whether awe, beauty, or insight—and together they created an extraordinary adventure we will always carry with us. We are deeply grateful to Wanja and her team at Extra Miles Unique Adventures for curating such a seamless, enriching, and joyful experience.

10/10 Beach Trip!
Really excellent service provided for my beach holiday; I had a relaxing trip with my loved ones! Would recommend anybody traveling to Kenya from the U.S. or Europe to book their safaris, beach trips, etc with Jupicon Expeditions!

Excellent experience
I had an unforgettable safari experience and I want to thank our amazing guide, Tribon. His knowledge of the wildlife, the parks, and the local culture made the journey truly special. Tribon was not only an excellent driver but also very attentive, patient, and always willing to share interesting facts about every animal and place we encountered.
I highly recommend this safari to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure.

Perfection!
My husband and I just returned from our full day of gorilla trekking in Volcano National Park. We decided to take the trek last minute and reached out to a couple of licensed tour operators and we’re so impressed with how quickly Gorille Africain Tours got back to us. From the beginning, the communication was excellent and timely.
We could not have been more impressed with our tour operator Simon, who was already downstairs at our hotel when we came downstairs at 4:15am. He already had a big smile on his face! He was so lovely and kind and was able to navigate the bumpy dirt roads leading to our hiking trail with ease! What a lovely, lovely gentleman.
If you book with them, you won’t have to worry about a thing. They pack your water, gators (the trek is sooo muddy), will stop for coffee on your way to the park from Kigali, and if you have Simon, you will know he is basically the mayor and knows everybody at every stop. (:
Once we arrived at Volcano National Park, he took care of everything and all we had to do was start hiking. I could not recommend this company enough. ❤️

Tailor-made safari with highly professional staff
I live in Catalonia and I love to travel. This summer we wanted to have an unforgettable trip to Africa, to go on a safari with my wife and our two children. We decided to travel to South Africa.
I searched on the Internet and came across the Safari Bookings portal. Once there, I chose three safari providers that I thought could offer us a tailor-made experience. From the very moment I contacted Elephant Herds, everything just flowed. Communication was quick and easy, and they prepared several versions of the itinerary to adapt to our needs (special thanks to Bev).
We wanted to be picked up as soon as we arrived at Johannesburg airport and taken straight to the Kruger area. The next day, they organized a full day of safari in Kruger. The following day, we did the Panorama Route, adapted with activities for the kids. On the last day, we enjoyed another full day of safari in Kruger, ending with a transfer to Nelspruit, from where we would continue our adventure with other operators.
The resort right next to Kruger was excellent, the restaurant was one of the highlights of the whole trip, and all the services—rangers, drivers, everything—worked punctually and exactly as agreed. Very professional. I had already thanked them by WhatsApp at the end, and I don’t usually write reviews, but in this case it is only fair to do so.
Many thanks,

Generous, Intuitive and Adaptable
We had the pleasure of recently spending 6 days with Baltazary while we were in Arusha, Tanzania. He gave us such a strong understanding of his own hometown that we look forward to returning for another longer visit within the next couple of years. He asked about us, our interests, experiences and limitations, and then proceeded to give us a wonderful experience of Arusha and her environs. Highlights of our time together include a once-in-a-lifetime time at the Serval wild animal conservation center, where we interacted with giraffe, zebra, antelope and even a white lioness; an afternoon wander through the local farmer's market which was so much more than just food; the incomparable Cultural Center (where one could happily wander for a full day!); and the Shanga workshop of many kinds of local arts and crafts. The best of all were the many conversations we had about how Life in Tanzania is, how the independent country has developed into such an interesting and great place to visit, and how the many tribes and cultures have been able to live harmoniously for so long. Our "City Safari" was an invaluable introduction to this lovely and welcoming country, and we most highly recommend Serengeti Captain Tours and Safaris. The long animal safaris are not to be missed, but don't cheat yourself out of time well-spent in the Arusha area when you first arrive, exhausted and jet-lagged. Book this or an oceanside getaway along with the wild animal safari, you will be so glad you did.
Our vehicle was pristine, always on time and very comfortable, with plenty of water available anytime. You might want to bring along small gifts for the wonderful people you will encounter along the way, from housekeepers at your accommodations to a young person working in a gallery, or kids you meet in the market. Pencils, small books, zippered pouches, even serviceable clean summer clothes of any type will be very much appreciated as something from a grateful visitor from afar.

An Unforgettable Safari Experience with Oldbeast Vacations!
From start to finish, this was the most amazing experience! Everything—from the incredible wildlife we encountered, to the delicious food, to the friendly and hardworking staff—completely exceeded our expectations.
Our Safari Guide, Julius, was absolutely outstanding! He always found the best vantage points to observe the animals in their natural habitats. He gave us time to truly enjoy watching them eat, play, and interact as families—nursing, grooming, and more. His expertise made the experience even more meaningful.
One thing we hadn’t anticipated was the variance in weather. We highly recommend asking about the climate in each area you’ll visit. Most days were sunny with highs in the 70s (°F), starting cooler in the 50s, but we did have a few rainy and chilly days—especially in the evenings. Layered clothing is key!
Surprisingly, we didn’t encounter any mosquitos, likely thanks to the cooler weather. As a result, we didn’t need bug spray or preventative medicine, but it’s still wise to check based on your travel season. Also, sun exposure was minimal since all game drives were in enclosed Jeeps, and there was no walking allowed in the habitats.
A quick heads-up: The drives can be quite bumpy and dusty due to mostly dirt and rocky roads—part of the adventure!
As for accommodations—fantastic across the board! We stayed in a mix of hotel-style lodges and luxury canvas tents. We opted for the luxury package, and even though hot water wasn’t available at a couple of locations, everything else was exceptional. The staff at every stop were welcoming, professional, and truly went above and beyond.
And the food… wow! While each site offered its own twist on the menu, most meals were similar and designed to suit all dietary needs. Breakfast and dinner were typically buffet-style, with plenty to choose from. Lunch during game drives varied—some hot meals, but mostly boxed lunches. While the quality of box lunches varied slightly, they were always very generous in portion size. Trust us—you will not go hungry!
We cannot recommend Oldbeast Vacations highly enough—and if you have the chance to request Julius as your Safari Guide, do it! His knowledge, passion, and warm personality made our journey truly unforgettable.

AMAZING!
How do you quantify greatness? From start to finish, African Big Cats Safaris was incredible. They went above and beyond in EVERY aspect.
My first encounter was with William Frank. Mr. Frank was immediately responsive to my initial inquiry; listened to what I wanted from our safari adventure and carefully curated the exact itinerary and experience for which we were hoping - through several iterations of itineraries and experiences...until he had it perfect.
From there, Naomi Kavishe took over as our coordinator for our safari. Naomi was amazing, patient and kind. She fielded a million questions from big to small. Naomi was communicative; available for any issue and timely in her responses. She was informative as to processes to get visas, clothing advice; transportation needs; and, she even made spa appointments for us!!
The icing on the cake was our safari guide, Festo. Oh my goodness! He was the BEST. Festo greeted our group of four (crazy) ladies celebrating MY 70th birthday. Little did he know what he was in for. Festo was sweet; kind; incredibly informative and knowledgeable about the wildlife and environments; fun and funny. Festo made every single moment special and a memory for a lifetime. I cannot begin to thank him for the over the top experiences we had. Festo, the Team Kudu Mamas LOVE you!
If you're looking for a quality safari experience, I cannot recommend African Big Cats Safaris enough. They nailed it!

Brilliant Experience
Great first safari experience! Our guide David did an outstanding job, he was very organised and made sure everything ran smoothly, and shared his knowledge on the culture, animals and areas. He was very friendly which made the entire week enjoyable. We saw many different animals, and got opportunities to take some great photos from good vantage points due to David’s excellent driving.
One negative was that one of the accommodations (tented camp) only had electricity in the room in the evenings. This made it difficult to get ready in early morning in near darkness. It wasn’t a huge problem for us, but it could be a bigger problem for others. Some people were given better rooms with electricity 24/7 by what seemed like chance, as we were never presented with any option to pay for better room etc. Aside from that, the accommodations were reasonably nice and all provided great food!
Overall we had a great time and would recommend this to anyone, especially if David is your guide!

Reliable and well tented accommodation inside the park
The communication was excellent thanks to Pretty and Munashe during and before the trip. We booked a 3 days 2 nights chobe camping with them. The excursion was well planned and they sent us full itinerary before our arrival.
2 nights inside the chobe national park was the highlight of the whole trip, we saw alot of animals and our guide was really fun. Not forgetting the chef and the food he prepared everything was tasty and delicious.
If you a safari lover and travelling on a budget l recommend Fuhara safaris. The 3 days 2nights involves many game drive on a jeep and many cruise safaris in the chobe river.
