Excellent pre-trip preparation and concierge services during our trip.
We started planning this trip over one year in advance, and as we learned more about the people and places that we would be visiting, naturally we needed to make changes along the way. Kathi from African Welcome Safaris was very professional and knowledgeable about proposing an initial itinerary and making numerous changes along the way.
Kathi helped us schedule tours in Namibia, Cape Town and Phinda Private Game Reserve. She arranged for a private guided tour of the Namib Desert and Skeleton Coast in Namibia, where we had an excellent driver who stayed with us for the duration in Namibia. Our tours in Namibia were arranged by Kathi through Namibia Tours and Safaris. Accommodation, meals and tours were all excellent.
Our week in Cape Town was spent at the Dorp Hotel in Bo Kaap. Kathi arranged a room with cooking and laundry facilities so that we could enjoy home cooked meals and refresh our laundry for the remainder of the trip. We had interesting tours of Table Mountain, Cape Point and Winelands while staying in Cape Town. Kathi also arranged a self drive tour of Kagga Kamma, where we hiked to rock art sites and enjoyed sun downer drives.
The final leg of our tour was a safari at the Phinda Private Game Reserve. We stayed at Phinda Mountain Lodge, where we enjoyed amazing views from our private patio complete with plunge pool. The people, food and animal encounters were all amazing.
The accommodations, tours and professionals that we used throughout the trip were top-notch and reasonably priced at every stage of our tour. Most importantly, Kathi provided excellent concierge services during the tour. Reminding us when to check in for flights, providing boarding passes, reminding us when to meet our guides and drivers. Kathi was also a valuable resource when we needed to make changes during the trip.
It was a great comfort to know that Kathi was a WhatsApp call or message away, when we were so far from home. I highly recommend Kathi Simon at African Welcome Safaris.

Very well organized and ensuring an overall great experience.
The planned route was exactly right for the time we had available (1 day Lake Nakuru, 5 days Maasai Mara).
Our guide John was very kind, he made sure we found all of the great animals and even invited us to his home for a great lunch.
We went on this safari week for our honeymoon and it was an incredible experience.
Organization was perfect and flexible to our preferences (e.g. when to start in the mornings and afternoons), and we didn't need to even think about any logistical things.

What an amazing trip to Uganda! Everything was perfectly organized, and we visited some incredible places such as Bugoma Central Forest Reserve, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, and Lake Mburo National Park. Our driver/guide was friendly and helpful, and he shared a wealth of knowledge with us throughout the journey. I can sincerely recommend this trip to everyone!

Great Experience!
The organisation was good, and the answers to my questions came quickly.
However, I still had to ask about the tour time the night before, at around 21:00 hrs, as well as about the payment, which had already been received.
Benzo, my tour guide, arrived at 08:30 instead of the confirmed time of 10:30 hrs. Unfortunately, he had to wait, as I had been planning to visit Kigali beforehand.
Despite this, Benzo did an excellent job. He was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of interesting and useful information throughout the trip. I was very satisfied with his service and enjoyed the tour.

I suggest you do not book with this company
I booked this safari back in February this year for myself and my wife. The reviews seemed good and they offered me a good itinerary. I contacted the company and they responded immediately. I paid the deposit and started saving from my pension. I later had a request to pay an instalment earlier than stated but it seemed reasonable. I became suspicious when they requested the remainder of the money earlier than stated but by then we had bought the air ticket so I paid up. What a mistake. Two days before we were due to fly I received an email telling me that the safari was cancelled due to "operational dificultious" and that a full refund would be issued within a week. It wasn't, I emailed them again with the same responce. Now when I email or phone I have no reply. I have tried to get my money back from the travel insurance but with no luck so far.
My bank claims that this is a scam but looking at the reviews it does seem as if the company started having problems in late August. I have informed the Competition Authority of Kenya and the Tourism Regulatory Authority (TRA) of Kenya. I would recommend that anyone considering booking a safari with them look elsewhere. I doubt that I will get any of my money back.

Our 17-day journey through Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Uganda was truly the trip of a lifetime, and we are incredibly grateful to Wild Uganda for making it so unforgettable.
From the very beginning, everything was perfect. Communication was excellent, the organization was flawless, the hotel selection was wonderful, and every guide we had was passionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to making our experience special.
A huge thank you to Ernest for the incredible organization, and to Yasir, Qamara, and Kasim for making this journey even more extraordinary. We could not have asked for better people to guide us through these amazing countries.
We were lucky enough to experience so much during our 17 days. In Kenya and Tanzania, we saw an incredible amount of wildlife, including the Big Five multiple times, and every safari felt completely magical.
In Rwanda, we explored the beautiful, incredibly green and clean city, visited the Genocide Memorial, which was a very emotional and meaningful experience that we would 100% recommend, and had the unforgettable opportunity to see the golden monkeys.
Then came Uganda, which completely stole our hearts. Seeing the gorillas in their natural habitat felt absolutely unreal — one of those experiences that is almost impossible to put into words. We also visited beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, where we enjoyed a wonderful boat tour… and, incredibly, it is also where we got engaged! It will forever hold a very special place in our hearts.
We also had the opportunity to see chimpanzees and learn about coffee and vanilla plantations, which gave us such a wonderful insight into the local culture and way of life.
Looking back, we feel incredibly lucky and grateful for every single moment of this journey. The landscapes, wildlife, people, cultures, experiences, and memories will stay with us forever.
It is going to be very hard to beat such an amazing trip. Everything was truly perfect.
We would recommend Wild Uganda 100% to anyone dreaming of experiencing East Africa. If you are considering booking a trip with them, do it — you will not regret it!

Professional, reliable and extremely well-organized, with excellent guides
I am currently experiencing a truly unforgettable journey, travelling through Kenya and Tanzania, surrounded by spectacular landscapes and some of the most authentic and breathtaking nature in Africa.
From the very beginning, what impressed me most was the excellent organization. Everything has been handled with great care, from transportation and park entrances to schedules and accommodations. Despite the complexity of such an extensive itinerary, every day has been organized perfectly, allowing us to fully enjoy each experience without ever having to worry about the logistics.
A special mention must go to our guide, who has been truly exceptional. Knowledgeable, helpful, attentive, and always ready to explain what we were seeing, he has made every safari even more fascinating. His knowledge of the area and wildlife has allowed us to understand and appreciate much more of what was happening around us. Most importantly, he has always been attentive to our needs and has played a major role in making this trip such a success.
And then there is the incredible beauty of the places we have visited: from the Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru, and from Amboseli to the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. The animals, landscapes, colors, vast open spaces, and the feeling of being truly immersed in the wild make this experience almost impossible to put into words.
We have now reached the border with Tanzania, so the journey is still ongoing and we are looking forward to the next incredible destinations, including Tarangire, the Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. But already at this point, I can say that this is an experience I would recommend without hesitation to anyone who wants to discover Africa in an authentic, well-organized way, without having to worry about the logistics.
