More than a safari—Meru Slopes Safari creates memories that last a lifetime.
5/5

We just got back from an incredible 8-day luxury safari in Serengeti, Tanzania with Meru Slopes Safari, and honestly, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, everything went so smoothly and exceeded all of our expectations.
I’ll admit—I’m a pretty picky traveler and did a lot of research before booking. Out of all the companies I looked at, Meru Slopes offered the best value and had such outstanding customer service, I can confidently say they delivered beyond what we imagined. Gift was unbelievably patient with us—I must have sent countless emails with different requests about hotels, routes, and details, and he always responded kindly and made sure the trip was tailored exactly to what we wanted.
Once we were on safari, the experience was pure magic. Exploring the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater has been a lifelong dream for me and my husband, and seeing the Big Five plus so many other animals up close felt surreal. Our guide, Hilary, was fantastic—super friendly, and determined to make sure we saw everything we hoped to, while answering all of our (many!) questions along the way.
Throughout the whole journey, Gift and Hilary made sure we felt comfortable, safe, and completely taken care of. Because of their attention to detail, we were able to just relax and soak in every moment of Serengeti’s beauty.
If you’re planning a safari and want a company that combines amazing value, outstanding service, and a truly unforgettable experience, Meru Slopes Safari is the one to go with. They turned our dream safari into reality, and we couldn’t be happier!

The tour operator know what they are doing and are highly reliable. My guide was the best!
5/5

Moria Safari were very good with providing me several alternatives for the safari. I did a 6 day wildebeest migration safari with 3 days in Serengeti, 1 day in Ngorongoro Crater, 1 day in Tarangire and 1 day in Lake Manyara. Jessica from Moria Safari coordinated my tour and she was very quick to response. My guide Elly was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, witty, humorous and funny. He was extremely reliable with driving and sighting animals. We were fortunate enough to see the wildebeest migration, lion guarding his kill, lion mating, leopard, cheetah, elephants, hyenas, ostriches, several types of eagles, hippos, hyenas just to name a few. In terms of wildlife sighting its not just the animals you see, you actually get to observe the whole story or dynamics of the situation. For instance, several hundreds of thousands of Wildebeests thinking whether to cross the river, and then a brave one crosses the river and the whole herd follows - herd mentality. And then you see how the crocodiles spring into action! Also, this safari was great for me as a solo traveller and my other 6 team mates were also avid wildlife enthusiasts helping us align well on our goals.

Despite all the positives, there are always things to improve or to be aware of and following are those:
- my window glass was jammed, it opened very little. Despite putting oil it didn’t improve a lot. But good thing is you can always stand up and view from the top if you are inside the Park. If outside the park or your teammates are unwilling to open the roof, you are stuck with the tiny opening in your window
- for the camping which was 3 nights, only cold water is available
- for food, there was only one vegetarian option for lunches. dinners were better with more vegetarian options. breakfast for me was usually crepes
- the refrigerator in the car was not working
- the roads between national parks (even outside of the park) are rough and very bumpy, our guide would call it african massage, be prepared to get some free African massage in these long drives!
- It also gets very dusty and there is no AC inside which means you will end up cracking open the window, better get face masks
- The vehicle typically will get flat at least once in your 6 day safari because of how rough the road is.

Overall, the people of Tanzania are very warm and hospitable, hakuna matata!!

Wild Wings Safaris helped us meet all of our hopes and dreams for this trip.
5/5

The trip arranged by Ilaria was seamless, filled with spectacular adventures, wonderful accommodations, and amazing guides for our journey. The time of year she recommended was perfect. It was so reassuring that all arrangements were made, including drivers and transfers, flights, and our excursions. Highlights for us, besides the kindness of the people in the countries we visited, were trekking in to see the gorillas and the amazing safari rides. The guides were all so friendly and full of history about their countries. We will definitely recommend Wild Wing Safaris to our friends and family who wish to visit.

Great Guide and a Truly Memorable Safari Trip
5/5

We had an unforgettable 7-day safari experience, and a big part of what made it so special was our incredible guide, Gerson. He is simply amazing—professional, knowledgeable, and always focused on giving us the best possible experience. Gerson has a sharp eye for spotting wildlife, drives smoothly and safely across all terrains, and shares rich stories not just about animals, but also about the landscapes and cultures we traveled through. By the end of the trip, it truly felt like we were on an adventure with a friend!

Mariam, our main contact for planning, was responsive and thoughtful. She suggested smart adjustments to our itinerary that reduced long transfers and gave us more time for game drives, making the experience even more enjoyable.

Every lodge and hotel was booked exactly as requested. We deeply appreciate everyone who made this journey possible—and we’re already dreaming about our next safari!

Unforgettable Experience
5/5

Cristina,
THANK YOU for all the details you arranged for us to enjoy our unforgettable safaris in the parks of Kenya and Tanzania. Everything you did is worthy of admiration.

The vehicle, the amenities, the hotels, and the meals were incredible. Our guides, in Kenya and Tanzania, made the difference.

Without a doubt, Africa is now among the best experiences we have had.

Thank you again, it couldn't be better.

An unforgettable honeymoon
5/5

Our four-day safari through Tarangire National Park, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater was an experience of a lifetime, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, John. From the moment we met him, it was clear we were in great hands. His knowledge of the wildlife, landscapes, and local culture brought every moment to life. He was able to spot animals from large distances and always made sure he was teaching us along the way. Beyond his expertise, John was warm and funny, making us feel safe, informed, and comfortable. Rehema and the team at Mountain Warriors were very responsive and helpful, and did a fantastic job organising the tour accommodation. All of the lodges and camps were excellent, offering comfort and character in beautiful locations. The food throughout was delicious too. Every day felt like a new adventure, and we’re so grateful to John & the team at Mountain Warriors for making our honeymoon so memorable :)

nice and unforggetable
5/5

I'm grateful to our guide, Darius, for helping us enjoy a comfortable trip, both physically and mentally. It was wonderful to stay at a nice hotel. The gorilla experience was unforgettable. We were fortunate to be able to meet a gorilla family relatively easily, and this was a testament to the professionalism of the Gorilla National Park staff. The Uganda tour was more economical than the Rwanda tour. I'm very satisfied with DAV Tours. However, the repeated requests for tips—three times before the gorilla tour began, for the welcome performance team, the advance team that searched for the gorillas, and the safety personnel who accompanied us—made me feel uncomfortable. The Batwa Pygmi tour, in particular, was not very meaningful to me. I wanted to see and experience their lives, but the sudden welcome performance and handicraft sales made us feel burdened. In short, it felt like they viewed us as just tippers rather than welcoming travelers.

Luxury safari specialists seamlessly crafting unforgettable wildlife adventures & honeymoon magic
5/5

We booked our safari honeymoon through Tapestry of Africa in July, and from start to finish the experience was flawless.

Even though we only reached out about 8 weeks before our trip, Matt and Hilda worked tirelessly with us to design the perfect itinerary across Kenya and Tanzania, making sure we could see and do everything on our wishlist.

From the moment we landed in Kenya from London, we were warmly greeted by three members of the Tapestry of Africa team. We didn’t expect them to be there, as our safari didn’t start until the next day, but they had all turned up just to welcome us and drop us to our airport hotel. They were friendly, inviting, and expressed how grateful they were that we had chosen Tapestry.

The safari itself was beyond anything we could have imagined. We saw 4 of the Big 5 (leopards lived up to their reputation as elusive!), along with countless other species. Some of the most memorable moments were witnessing the Great Migration from multiple angles and seeing a lion pounce on a wildebeest. The accommodations were incredible throughout, with Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort standing out as our favourite - waking up to animals roaming around the lodge was magical. A personal highlight was getting up close with giraffes and zebras, which felt like a dream. At each accommodation, we were greeted so kindly by staff congratulating us on our honeymoon, which made the experience even more special.

The hot air balloon ride was truly once in a lifetime, and the team even arranged the day we did it to give us the best possible chance of seeing the Great Migration. Their goal was clearly to give us the most complete and unforgettable experience, making the entire 8.5 days feel truly special. They surprised us with honeymoon touches along the way - beautifully decorated rooms, extra merchandise, snacks, cakes delivered at meals (complete with a sing-song!) - thoughtful details that meant the world to us.

Our drivers were exceptionally knowledgeable, going above and beyond to make sure we spotted as much wildlife as possible and that we were comfortable throughout. Food at every stop was excellent, and the staff at lodges were warm and accommodating - even preparing packed lunches for our long days out. Everything ran like clockwork: people were ready to greet us at every lodge, and timing was always seamless.

At the end of our safari, Tapestry also arranged our flight from Tanzania to Zanzibar, which worked perfectly.

We are so grateful to the whole team, especially Matt and Hilda, for staying in touch from the very first quote through to the end of our trip. Thanks to them, our honeymoon was unforgettable - a true once in a lifetime adventure.

We honestly could not recommend Tapestry of Africa more highly.

Dream experience
5/5

Probably the best trip that I had. Very well organised, Richard was a fantastic guide with a lot of experience and knowledge, giving a lot of details and finding amazing spots. All employees were super nice, I am super happy with the journey, I totally recommend. Just one recommendation, I would skip Lake Naivasha, but strongly recommend Masai Mara, Amboseli, Lake Nakuru and Diani Beach. If I would plan again I would choose to go to Samburu up north, or cross to Serengeti.
