Review about Sabi Sand Nature Reserve by Donal Heffernan
Two tours a day, early morning and late afternoon into night tours. Thus avoiding the midday heat. it was dark when we returned to the compound so were looking for smaller animals via a spotter sitting in a chair at the very front of the vehicle with a spotlight. We spotted a rare owl one night hooting loudly. No light polution so the stars were plentiful and bright.
Also the tour operators supplied extra surpises, like one morning, a breakfast served in a field as the sun rises.
Another day there were drinks and snacks again served in a field as the sun set.
Also Ice creams were served one midday to cool us down. These were lovely unexpected touches.
We were allowed out of the vehicles for these treats and were able to stretch our legs.
We saw four of the big five animals, the leopard staying out of sight. Of coure plenty of other animal too.

S A a vibrant colourful scenic country
South Aftica is a must see country.
Firstly for the wildlife and the scenic areas where the wild animals live. Absolutely beautiful and an unforgetable place.
Sabi Sands was my favourite safari park, as the vehicles went off the dirt tracks and into the fields where the animals were sighted.
The compound and glamping accomodation was inside the wildlife area, thus easier to be near the animals at sunrise and sunset when they are most visible. The accomodation and food here were outstanding.
Secondly, to see Johanesburg city centre (a no go area) and surronding area via a tour guide who knew where to go and where not to go.
Soweto and surrounding townships are full of history including the street where both Mandella and Archbishop Tutu both lived
Finally we flew an internal flight to Capetown and enjoyed a two day guided tour to Table Mountain, Penguin Beach, a boat tour to see the seals and a drive down to the Cape of Good Hope. Then we hired our own car and visited Hermanus, and the wine touring areas Stellenbosch and Franshoek. All were well worth seeing. Capetown is safer than Jo burg. Jo burg is mainly the gateway to the safari parks.

Beautiful country, great food, lovely people. Many become rafiki's. Hakuna matata!
I would recommend visiting all four parks: Serengeti, Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater Conservation and Manyara Lake National Park. It is doable is 4 days, however some parts are quite a long drive. Hence, a day rest in between would have been ideal.
Wildlife was spotted in abundance. We even spotted a leopard and a cheetah, both during daytime! Very lucky.
Also nice to visit the changa tribe in the mountains, where you can learn how to make your own coffee. And eat some local dishes which were amazing. This is also close to the waterfalls called: Materuni falls.

Exceptional Service
I travelled with family to Kenya in January and booked through Halal Safaris who took exceptional care of us. We had to delay our trip at the last minute and Samia at Halal Safaris went above and beyond to quickly adjust our itinerary.
Our safari at Amboseli National Park was incredible. Our itinerary also included resort time at Diani beach and a memorable visit to Lamu island. I can’t thank Halal Safaris enough for their attention to detail in making this a trip of a lifetime.

An unforgettable Safari Trip with Gosheni
Our group of four spent 6 days with Gosheni Safaris, including 4 days inside the national parks. The trip was so memorable that we left wanting more.
On the first day, as soon as we exited the airport, we saw a staff member holding a sign with our name, ready to greet us. Their office is conveniently located right next to the exit of Kilimanjaro Airport. The guiding began sharing interesting facts about the region as soon as we got into the vehicle.
Throughout the entire journey, we felt completely safe and happy. The foods are all delicious. The vehicle was thoughtfully equipped with seat cushions, so our backs and legs never hurt— even on a day when we almost drove for 14 hours. Every morning, the vehicle was spotless inside and out, despite our shoes tracking in plenty of mud.
We are especially grateful to our guide, Bariki. He has a deep respect and awe for nature. We don’t like some vehicles get too close to the animals, as it feels disruptive to their natural lives. Bariki always kept a respectful distance while positioning us at the best possible angle for viewing. When we mentioned wanting to see a sunrise and sunset, he made a point of finding scenic spots with great composition — he clearly has a good eye for photography too!
We never had to worry about restroom breaks, Bariki arranged everything smoothly. He is intelligent, brave, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. His driving skills are excellent, and he taught us so much along the way. We joked that he should be the one training AI on animals and Tanzania!
This Safari was an incredible experience with friends. Next time if I come with my family, I’ll definitely choose Gosheni Safaris again.

Paul was professional, friendly and quick to respond to my many questions.
I had an unforgettable experience trekking up Mount Kilimanjaro with Life Journey Experience. From start to finish, the guide and crew were absolutely incredible—they genuinely looked after me every step of the way. Their knowledge of the mountain, professionalism, and constant encouragement made a challenging journey feel safe, supported, and truly special. They are real rockstars and clear experts at what they do. I’m so glad I took this journey, and choosing Life Journey Experience was 100% the right decision for me. Highly recommended.

Excellent tour and would highly recommend
This tour changed our prospective on life and made us aware that life isn't just about what we possess, but happiness and appreciation of how these people live in the moment. We have done a lot of travelling and the people of Kenya and Tanzania were some of the friendliest that we have encountered. My husband is 84 years old and has trouble walking. The guides went out of their way to accommodate him. They had a stool to help him in and out of the vehicle and aided him in walking the paths and stairways. The guides were most knowledgeable about the animals and birds and even this 82 year old brain learned something new every day. The accommodations were A1. Better than many hotels we have stayed at and the food was extraordinary and plentiful. We would highly recommend Tapestry of Africa to anyone.
