Horrendous experience- update from previous review
I wrote a review previously about my horrendous experience with this company and wanted to provide an update. I prepaid for my safari well in advance only to find that nothing was paid for upon arrival and I was forced to pay out of pocket. Our accommodation was also changed last minute- even after the company CONFIRMED that everything was booked and paid for in advance. All lies. Our safari was in February 2025 and I have been asking for a refund since. I have been provided with generic emails promising refunds with no follow-through. Now I've been ghosted by the company and they won't respond to my texts and email. I am writing this secondary review so others are aware. I DO NOT recommend rolling the dice with this company. You will likely lose out on money and be stranded.

Good
Experience was overall good. With few not-so-good experience with the driver and confusion about water bottles. Instructions were not very clear. Drives very rashly sometimes. But food, staff, everything was awesome!

Adventure of a lifetime.
Akondo Adventures have gone above and beyond in our experience. Boris, the Managing Director, planned a wonderful trip with different touch-points around Arusha.
Richard, the best guide we have ever had, made the trip even more memorable. It genuinely felt like we had a friend with us on the trip, and he added different stops to our trip based on our requests and interests. He was super attentive and taught us a lot about the culture and did his best to make sure we had the best experience — from finding animals in the game drives to Masai villages for us to visit. He was incredibly fun and we would recommend him (Richard is the man) and Akondo Adventures to anyone wanting an unforgettable time in Tanzania.
Thank you Richard, Boris and Akondo Adventures for making our honeymoon the best trip!

Most incredible trip in my life
Whatever I say for Kiliclimb wouldn’t be enough to express my deepest gratitude for them. They have organised the trip of my dreams and even beyond!!! We were on a 4 day safari in Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater and Tarangire parks and we managed to see all the animals we wanted to see, even more of them. The whole process of communication with Naite from the office was great. She answers all of my questions and done more than enough to make us feel satisfied. Even the impossible things only just to have a few more hours in the parks.
And our guide, Ombeni was a remarkable. He knows so much for the animals, the environment, the birds and whole nature that was surrounding us. He knows were was the all animals which we wanted to see. We saw so much cheetahs and lions that I can’t imagine it. On our day in Ngorongoro we had the incredible opportunity to see black and white rhino at the same time. This was possible only with our tremendous guide Ombeni!
We definitely recommend Kiliclimb for your safari and double recommendation for Ombeni!!!

Hospitable
We took the 5-day safari tour starting and ending in Arusha. Our driver, Melita, who was also our guide, had an excellent instinct when it comes to finding rare animals and getting very very close to them that you can take pictures with your phone without zooming in!
The lodge, the two lodged tents which we stayed at, were really comfy and had some very delicious food and very attentive staff.
We booked the midrange option but it almost felt like a luxury experience.
Would highly recommend taking this tour.
Also the chef who prepared our lunch boxes, Tito, was an excellent chef and I can’t remember an ok meal that I had, almost all of them were very tasty.
If I had to skip one of the parks, it would be Lake Manyara. It had lots of hornets and nothing you wouldn’t see in Serengeti or Ngorongoro parks.

this safari was the most incredible experience of my life.
I opted for the 5 day safari and this involved 3 different parks. The Lake Manyara national park, The Serengeti and The Ngorongoro crator. All were absolutely fantastic and we saw different animal at each, but the Serengeti was my personal favourite. We camped in the Serengeti and heard all types of animals at night, including lions and elephants. We saw all of the big five on this safari, and our tour guide ensured to point out each and provide us with information. We felt safe at all times which meant we could fully enjoy the experience. Thank you to our tour guide (Timothy) and to the team for arranging this trip, we all thoroughly enjoyed it and want to return for another safari!

Really wonderful experience!
Our tour guide, Raymond, is a fantastic guy. He showed us a variety of places to watch wildlife and we lucky saw a leopard which cannot be seen usually.

An Unforgettable Safari with Serengeti Wakanda Tours & Safari
Our safari in Tanzania with Serengeti Wakanda Tours & Safari was truly a dream come true. We had the privilege of being guided by Tom, our amazing guide, and Ashraf, our incredible chef , two people who made this journey absolutely unforgettable.
Tom was everything you’d hope for in a safari guide and more. His knowledge about wildlife is outstanding. He always seemed to know exactly where to find the animals, and not just the adults, but their adorable little ones too. We saw baby elephants, baby giraffes, baby zebras like it was magical.
What makes Tom truly special is his character. He’s naturally kind, always cheerful, full of stories, and genuinely passionate about what he does. Every evening, he’d sit down with us to plan the next day, always setting a specific time to ensure the best sightings. Sometimes that meant early mornings, but trust me: he knows exactly when the animals are most active, and it’s 100% worth it.
He made sure we were always comfortable, kept us informed, and took the time to explain the culture, the land, and even a bit of Swahili! Thanks to him, I’ve learned so much about Tanzania and the Maasai people. And I now know a few Swahili words too! I also managed to take amazing close-up photos of the animals thanks to his skills and timing.
And then there’s Ashraf, our chef who is only 23 years old, but what a talent! Honestly, he should open his own restaurant one day. He prepared fresh, delicious meals three times a day, traveling with us the whole time. He barely slept, just to make sure we were well taken care of. He cooks with love, works incredibly clean, and is doing his best to learn English. I’m so thankful for everything he did during this trip. He was a huge part of our experience.
Another lovely surprise: we even received some really thoughtful gifts along the way (but I won’t spoil what they were!).
A quick note on tipping: please remember that tips are an important part of their income. Even a small gesture like $2 for someone who helps load your bags means a lot. Unfortunately, we didn’t bring much cash, but our guide kindly covered some tips for us, something we were incredibly grateful for. For the guide and the chef, we recommend budgeting $5–10 per person per day. Believe me, they absolutely deserve it.
If you’re still hesitating about going to Tanzania, don’t. Go and enjoy. We never once felt unsafe. Everything was well-organized, the safari vehicles were super cool, and the whole experience was beyond what we imagined.
I also highly recommend spending at least one night in a tent. Waking up with the sunrise and the sounds of animals around you is an experience you’ll never forget.
To Tom and Ashraf: thank you again for everything. We will never forget you.
