The best price AND the best service? I didn't believe it either
Rioba Safaris delivered everything they promised — and choosing them was the hardest part.
We're a family of five (two adults, three kids) and we spent weeks researching safari operators for our Kenya–Tanzania trip. If you've gone through this process, you know how overwhelming it is — dozens of companies, similar itineraries, no way to tell who's legit and who isn't.
From the very first message, Joseph and Donant were incredibly patient with us. I'm not exaggerating when I say we went through at least 20 revisions of the itinerary. I kept changing destinations, asking about different lodges, adding and removing days, requesting a Spanish-speaking guide — and every single time they came back quickly with an updated proposal, no complaints, no pressure. That level of responsiveness before they'd received a single dollar from us said a lot.
Then I did something that I'd recommend to anyone in this situation: I took Rioba's final itinerary and sent it to several other agencies for comparison quotes. Rioba's price was significantly lower — and I mean not even close. Honestly, that made me nervous. When something is much cheaper, you wonder what's being cut. But by that point I'd been communicating with them for weeks and their professionalism had earned my trust, so I went with my gut.
I'm so glad I did. Once on the ground, everything was exactly as agreed — the vehicles, the accommodations, the guide, the logistics of crossing from Kenya into Tanzania overland. No surprises, no hidden costs, no last-minute changes. With three kids in tow, that kind of reliability is everything.
If you're reading this while agonizing over which company to book with — I get it. I was right where you are. My advice: talk to them, ask for references from past clients, compare their quote against others, and judge them by how they handle your twentieth email asking to change something. That's where Rioba really stands out.

We had a three day Serengeti and Ngorongoro Safari experience with Olsero Expedition. It was fantastic, the team was great and provided their full attention. We were taken good care of. We saw lots of animals, including the big five. It was truly magnificent and an experience that my family and I would never forget! Totally recommended!

Well designed broad set of experiences with high level of customer service
Compass Odyssey designed and executed a 16 day trip for us that included 4 countries and various experiences including, but also beyond safaris. Communication during the planning phase was easy and smooth despite a 9 hour time zone difference. From an execution perspective, Compass’s communication prepared us for what to pack, what to consider regarding vaccine/malaria meds, how immigration/customs would work, etc. Transit across the countries was smooth as the team was waiting for us at each airport and the instructions of what to expect upon crossing borders was clear ahead of travel, allowing us to handle some aspects ahead of time to expedite. The variety of activities was well thought out and matched our preferred cadence very well. The places that we stayed all exceeded our expectations, each being very customer focused and having unique qualities. More than anything, the local guides and safari guides were exceptional! Fantastic safari!
We did a six-day tour with our guide, John Walter, and we were very happy with him! John was very relaxed and always made sure everyone felt comfortable and was doing okay. He drove safely, knew a lot about the animals and the surrounding areas, enjoyed having a joke with us, and was always kind and thoughtful.
Our tour included three nights in the Masai Mara, one night at Lake Nakuru, and one night at Lake Naivasha. We really enjoyed the variety in scenery and the different animals we saw at each location.

For a future trip, we would appreciate receiving a more detailed itinerary from Jocky Tours in advance. Apart from that, we have no further feedback and thoroughly enjoyed our safari!

Wonderful
Everything was thought of on our trip. The team made it all so good. The wildlife sightings were incredible and our guide was knowledgeable. At camp, the food was tasty and plentiful and the camp was comfortable. We enjoyed the company of the team too, when they joined us for drives and sat with us around the fire. The communications throughout the planning stage were excellent and David made suggestions to ensure we had the best time.

5 luxurious day safari experience with Agama.
Spending 5 days exploring Tanzania on a luxury safari with my girlfriend was an unforgettable adventure.
