What a wonderful experience, so professionally organised and completely customized to our preferences. For the second consecutive year, African Welcome Safaris organised a wonderful tailor-made safari for us. This time to the scenic Okavango Delta (Belmond) combined with a city trip to Cape Town and the Cape. Flying into Cape Town from the Netherlands, we only had five days (six nights) and a lot of things we wanted to do and see. We explained Kathi Simon what we wanted and she came up with wonderful suggestions and organised a tailor made tour.
You can tell that they live in Africa and know all the venues and accomodations. With such a busy travel schedule everything needs to be like clock work and it was. Everything was taken care of, all transport and flights were arranged and in time, every little detail was taken care of. Their communication is highly personalised with quick and thorough responses to all our questions. Kathi responded the same day or the day after via Whatsapp or email but she also picks up the phone. All tour information and the itinerary can always be downloaded through their state-of-the-art app.
African Welcom Safaris are flexible. Even last minute itinerary changes were never a problem, a private birth-day lunch at La Colombe could be integrated in the tourschedule. The organization was flawless, all documents were issued in time, the local tour guides and driver were experienced and like angels. It is also nice that African Welcome Safaris already exists for decades and - as a member of SATSA - is financially as safe as the national bank, your deposits are safe.

An absolutely amazing experience from start to finish—the highlight of our honeymoon!
First, a huge thank you to Steve Muinde, the director of Ramja Safaris, for his exceptional professionalism, responsiveness, and transparency. From the moment we started the booking process to the final day of our stay in Kenya, Steve was consistently supportive, ensuring everything ran smoothly. He was always quick to answer any queries and put us at ease. A particularly thoughtful touch was when he and his lovely wife personally came to greet us at our hotel before we embarked on our incredible adventure—a gesture that truly set the tone for the journey ahead.
As this was our first holiday outside of Europe, we naturally felt a little anxious. However, Steve and his remarkable team meticulously planned every detail—from picking us up at our hotel on the first day to dropping us off at the airport on the last—creating a completely seamless and stress-free experience.
While Kenya’s breathtaking landscapes and mesmerizing wildlife made the trip extraordinary, the true star of our adventure was our guide and game driver, Patrick. Over just a few days, we built a genuine friendship with him. Not only was he an expert on the parks and their inhabitants, but he was also a truly wonderful human being. Our conversations covered everything—from Kenya and its neighboring countries to politics, socio-economics, religion, cars, and agriculture—but the most meaningful discussions revolved around family. Patrick’s deep love for his own family radiated throughout our journey, and his warmth made us feel even more cared for.
As for the safari itself—what an absolutely mind-blowing experience! Since it was just me and my wife, we had the flexibility to adjust the schedule, and the itinerary was tailor-made to accommodate us. We were fortunate enough to see all of the Big Five across both Lake Nakuru and the Maasai Mara. The hotels we stayed at—located within the parks and arranged by Ramja Safaris—were perfectly suited for us to unwind after an action-packed day and enjoy some delicious food. Each new day brought exciting discoveries, thanks to our incredible guide, who truly went above and beyond to ensure we were safe, happy, and having a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
I cannot recommend this company enough, especially Patrick! They will definitely be the people we refer all our friends and family to and who we will contact again for our next safari.

An incredible experience from the first pick up at the airport to the way back.
We visited the 3 parks and we were lucky to see lots of animals and especially the big five.
The landscapes, the views, the camps and the hospitality of all staff was amazing.
But the most amazing part was our guide Freddy from Suricata Safaris. Such a nice person, with a very thorough knowledge of the fauna and flora that he shared with all us with passion. Always available to answer all our questions on everything. Moreover, he is very respectful of the places we visited and also of the animals, he managed to let us see everything but always by not interfering in the life of the parks and animals. We deeply recommend him.
A very nice thing as well were the meals. We were travelling with kids and everything was delicious. Moreover the picnics with real glasses and plates. We really appreciated that.

No words… Excellent
I have no words… what we have just experienced was a dream and Suricata Safaris was exceptional from the beginning to the end.
The first contact with Grace was very helpful, she helped us on choosing our Safari and was always available for any question we had.
Suricata Safari picked us from the airport to the hotel and the evening Daniel made us a briefing for the safari. He was very nice and answered to all our questions.
The day after, Frederik (Freddy), our guide, came to pick up us from the hotel and the safari could begin.
All was exceptional, Lodge, Camp tents, the picnic every day was a delicious lunch (not a lunch box) but a real meal with meat, rice and vegetables.
And last but not least, Freddy was the best guide we could ever had… he knew everything, always answering to our questions, very respectful to the animals we saw and such a nice person.
If you are looking for a safari, I highly recommend Suricata safari and Freddy as a guide you will not be disappointed …. They made our dream came true.

Reliable, friendly, and perfectly organized—an adventure worth every penny!
The guides (drivers) were knowledgeable, approachable, and truly passionate about the experience they were providing. Everything was well-organized, and I felt completely safe and taken care of throughout the tour. All the drivers were very friendly, experienced, had good communication and took great care of us, pointing out the Big Five animals. They all drove very well. Especially our driver, Mark Bryson, who was cheerful, humorous, and provided clear and thorough explanations throughout the tour.

My guide is William, his is a very experienced driver and animal explorer. Under his guide, I saw so many cute animal babies. Gosheni definitely gave me excellent trip experience, we had so many nice picnic in wild.

Exceptional safari experience, with a perfect guide (Edward)
A fantastic experience that I highly recommend!
Edward, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us spot many animals thanks to his deep understanding of the parks and animal behavior. He was always helpful and flexible, making each game drive enjoyable and safe, even on muddy dirt roads.
The tour was well organized, with full and tasty meals (not just sandwiches!), plenty of drinks available in the car, and high-quality accommodations (we chose the mid-range/luxury option).
I strongly recommend Serengeti Wakanda and especially Edward as a guide for an unforgettable safari in Tanzania!
