Meru ensure our first Safari tour is the most memorable trip
I had been thoroughly confused about selecting safari tours. Heart said Serengeti, but everyone else said MasaiMara for first Safari. I tried countless operators and landed on MERU SLOPES based on searches in the safari bookings website. When I reached out to Shadrack didn't know what to expect. But, he designed the perfect itinerary as requested and provided me with all possible details to make me feel confident about the selection.
Since, we landed in Arusha we have been under the care of Meru and the experience has been exemplary. Really hospitable operators who take care of the tiniest of the details.
Coming to the Safari, our guide was John Felix Munishy for our time in Tarangire, Ndutu & Ngorongoro. He's the nicest man who introduced us to Sweet Reggae on our way to Ngorongoro. But, his real skills came out in the game drives. He expertly tracked down the animals, knew all the right spots and very good in picking information from the radio calls and other guides. Not just that he patiently maneuvered the jeep to find the best spot for us to get the best camera angle. We must have made him go forward and backward almost a thousand times over the safari. He did it with a smile and celebrated every great picture with us.
When not tracking animals, John taught us Swahili and gave us information about the animals.
With him as our guide we spotted all the big 5, the ugly 5, 2 Seville Cats, Cheetah and White Jackal. Not to mention countless gazelles & birds.
Meru had also booked a hot-air balloon ride for us over Ndutu which is a once in a lifetime experience.
From just finding information on the internet to visiting Tanzania and falling in love with the country, Meru had a great role to play and would definitely recommend them to everyone looking to go on their first African Safari adventure.

Outstanding
I was absolutely thrilled by my experience going on a Gorilla trek in bwindi impenetrable forest with James. I was extremely well taken care of, every attention to detail was met, the gorillas were incredible (!!!), and I felt it was good and fair and transparent value for money. I even received an excellent recommendation for another wildlife tour elsewhere in the region with a different operator. Will absolutely book again next time I’m in Uganda!

If you ever find yourself planning a trip to Tanzania, I cannot recommend Ro Scavenger Safaris and our guide Fredy highly enough.
He wasn’t just a guide—he was a translator of the wild. While other vehicles chased every sighting, he taught us when to stay and when to leave, when to watch and when to look away. He didn’t just name animals; he helped us understand what they were doing, feeling, living.
He opened a book to show us a bird, then closed it to tell us why the lion needed its solitude. He turned the car around when the crowd pressed too close, and waited an hour for a pair of lions who never showed—because, as he said, “It’s not about how many you see. It’s about what they’re living through.”

My safari in Uganda with TrueVine Safaris was truly an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, everything was well organized, seamless, and thoughtfully planned. I was amazed by how many animals we were able to see — every game drive felt like something out of a documentary.
Our guide, Bernard, made the experience even more special. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and attentive. He took the time to answer all of our questions, shared fascinating insights about the wildlife and local culture, and made sure we were always in the best position for viewing and photos.
