We had an amazing time! We booked a last minute 3 day trip to the Volcanoes National Park. Eric took care of everything even last minute and made sure we got to do everything that we wanted to do. We saw the gorillas and the golden monkeys and he organized all our trips and transport as well as a stop at a few great restaurants and local noteworthy sites. We had a great time with him and he was very informative about the country and cultures. We cannot recommend him enough and would book him again for any other activities we would plan to do in the East African region!

I was looking for a safari for myself and my daughter and came across Traipsing from first enquiry (and a very speedy response) to finalising the final itinerary was simple and quick.
In the end booked a 5 day / 4 night stay at Tambuti Lodge in Black Rhino Park with transfers from and return to J’burg airport.
Sandra messaged just before we left to ensure a smooth arrival, provided sandwiches and drinks for the car journey on arrival and even arranged a last minute change to our pick up time the night before we left.
Such an easy and smooth process, and absolutely outstanding recommendation and everything ran smoothly. Not only would I recommend Sandra and Traipsing to anyone looking to book a holiday I will also be back when I’m ready to book our next one, 5 star service!

Amazing experience!!!
We did the 3-day Safari, Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Lake Mnayara, with flights included. Our driver, Kevin, was fantastic, always careful when driving and very patient. During the Safari we had lunch in the parks we visited as a picnic and the meals were fabulous. We saw many animals and some very close to the car. We would like to thank Davis very much, who from the quote until we left the airport was always tireless and very attentive. It was indeed an unforgettable experience!

The explanation and driving skills of the kind guide were excellent. And especially for finding rare animals such as cheetahs, I was able to see a great safari. I recommend it

Fabulous Chimps and Gorillas tour in Rwanda - beyond our expectations!
Great tour with cultural and wildlife aspects. Our guide Paul Ruganintwari was very helpful and good company. Hotels were excellent, and meals were included, with just alcohol to be paid for. 3-course dinner each evening. Lovely scenery with plenty to look at while Paul drove to the next location.
Really enjoyed the kayaking on Lake Kivu
We were fortunate to see so many chimps ( including a baby ).
Gorilla trek was beyond our expectations and we were very lucky with the weather. We watched a large family group including a silverback, 4 mth old and 1 week old baby.
Take USD for tips, but before the tour we needed Rwandan Francs for Kigali.
I chose to pay for a porter to help me on the slippery bits of path and to support the local community.
We hope to return to Africa soon and I would be very happy to travel with Shadows of Africa again. We were very impressed. Thank you to Karen for all her help with the organisation of the trip and fast communication.

Lifetime experience
Our experience with Kipe was unforgettable. This was the best travel of our lives and not only because Tanzania is amazing but also because Kipe and his team were very well organized and careful with clients. Kipe organized a 2 week safari in the North of Tanzania and all the choices he made were amazing: we could live the real life of tanzanian people because he took us to visit villages, people and local places. With him we had experiences that with nobody else we would have had. All the food was very safe and we had no problems with that. We chose the middle range accomodation and they were very beautiful and comfortable.
Abou, the safari guide, has got a very huge knowledge about animals, history, places and we was very kind with us. He know the secret places where to see animals in the parks and he is a really good driver. Feel very safe driving with him. One of the best thing is that Kipe adventure is a group of young guys with a lot of energy and a lot of dreams! Choosing Kipe is not only about a travel but you also support one of his school project for kids that don't have the possibility to go to school.
We really loved our journey and we would choose Kipe million times again!
