Wonderful human being
5/5

I do not write reviews often, but I felt obligated to put in a few words. My wife and I had an incredible experience, but Tanzania safari does not require any introductions. Just amazing. I am here to talk about the company and our tour guide/driver Hassan. We do a lot of research when we travel, and Gosheni group immediately came up high on the list. They responded promptly, were very flexible, and work with us, not against us. Our guide Hassan requires special mention. He made us feel comfortable from the start. Wide smile, easy going attitude. We travel a lot and this is not unusual, but pleasant. However, as the trip went on and we spent days in the car with him, real person shined through. Hassan is thoutgul, intelligent, and very real
He made us feel comfortable, regardless of circumstances. Natutre does not always cooperate, sometimes line wants to sleep or rhino refuses to turn around, or you got to chase the wildebeest crossing - this is when Hassan was at his best. Calm, collected, reassuring. Most importantly, we always felt safe with him on the road, which is no little task in seregneti. Never mind the lunch table he set up for us at the crater in ngorongoro (I do not know how to past pictures, so check my wife's post). My warmest thanks to Hassan and Ghosheni guys. Will send all our friends your way.

Charles was responsive, accommodating and thoughtful!
5/5

Was a pleasure to work with Charles who was very efficient and responded quickly and in detail to my inquiries. Being from the US and our first trip to Kenya, he patiently answered all my queries and assisted us in putting together our week long trip to Aberdare National Park, Solio conservancy, Nairobi and Amboseli. His guide cum driver Alvin was an absolute gem! Met us at the hotel on time, drove us everywhere for the next 8 days, was very knowledgeable, friendly and kind. Charles himself joined us on a part of our tour and between them gave us a comprehensive, entertaining and spectacular view of this amazing country and its people. The Safari jeep was clean and well maintained and this team was resourceful and networked with others to make sure we had unforgettable experiences. From private ranger-accompanied hikes to several waterfalls in Aberdare, beautiful sightings of Mt. Kenya, (while we don’t do a hike to Mt Kenya, it is one of Charle’s specialties) amazing wildlife sightings and learning in Solio conservancy with it’s unbelievable numbers of Rhino, to the elephant families of Amboseli and just to many types of antelopes, hyenas, jackals and more to list! Add to that a memorable night safari! He provided me with references, certifications, adjusting to my budget, and importantly, prompt payment receipts that eased my worry in wiring deposit money to someone I had no previous personal connection with. Thank you Charles, it’s my pleasure to highly recommend you.

Exceptionally planned and Awesome
5/5

From the time we arrived at Victoria Falls and saw Musa standing there with our names displayed, smiling and welcoming we had no idea that the 9 days would be filled with such exceptional sites and service. Musa was there with us throughout and was so helpful and friendly. The accommodation throughout was of a very high standard far higher than we thought it would be. Musa took us to special eating places with wonderful views and friendly service and cannot fault the quality. Musa took us to each tour, boat cruise or Safari and took the time to introduce us to the specialist tour guide i.e. Victoria Falls and was there waiting for us when we returned and at no time did, we feel lost.
The tours through Chobe, Victoria Falls, Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, Okavango Delta (Mokoro - dugout canoe) were amazing and we saw so many animals including over 20 Lions and an attempt to stalk and chase buffalo in Chobe was one of many highlights.
Arranging visits to markets and optional tours like the helicopter ride over Victoria Falls was not too much trouble for Musa.
We certainly will be back.

Shoes is the man, extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife/environment, organised and great fun!
5/5

We had the catered camping option at Satara which would suit anyone with some camping experience and familiarity using shared park facilities like toilet and shower blocks. The camp set up and catering was excellent considering the location and the team very organised and responsive/adaptive to our requirements. We were out the gate at 6am every morning, and with Satara being pretty much in the middle of the park, I felt this provided greater early morning wildlife opportunities than tours coming in from lodges outside the park. Our guide was Shoes (owner) who was seriously terrific and seemingly without peer amongst the guides from other companies. He has tertiary qualifications in ecology and tourism and extensive experience as a guide over many years. If you want to find and identify animals and feel safe, Shoes is your man...he can locate and identify species that are not in the book and is extremely safety conscious as evidenced by the real-time advice he provided to self-drive tourists and even other tour guides when he identified them undertaking risky behaviours (like getting out of vehicles...)!

I would totally recommend Khalanga Safaris for the experience, service and value they provided with the tents actually having proper beds, rather than the camp stretchers I was expecting! Get your mates/friends together and sign up I reckon...you'll have a blast!

About: Namibia
Amazing, I loved Namibia
Overall rating
5/5

Namibia is an amazing tourist destination. The country has a bit of everything, incredible nature, wildlife, the largest sand dunes, the ocean and the largest national park with the opportunity to do a self drive safari. The lodges are great, offering a wide range of activities.
We used a local travel agent, Southbound Tours, which I highly recommend. I found them through Safari Bookings.
Not to be missed- kayaking with the seals, Sandwich Harbor tour, a catamaran tour and quad biking on the dunes. I loved driving the Skeleton Coast and to spend a minimum of three days in Etosha.

About: Kenya
The Maasai Mara was as Advertised!
Overall rating
5/5

We visited the Maasai for three nights. We stayed at the Mara Engai Lodge. It is a tented lodge with about 24 tents. The lodge itself and everybody that work there was great! The temp was very spacious and had everything we needed.

We went on two full day safaris and a half day safari during our time at the Maasai Mara. Our guide, Lewice, was fantastic and we saw all of the big five animals. He was very willing to wait until we got our full fill of viewing of each animal. He also had a lot of information about the animals and the flora and Fana of the area. I’m a Sara was very beautiful and the safari were very relaxing. We enjoyed our time there.

About: Tanzania
Beautiful landscape

5/5

Naomi was a great host whom responded to us quickly and clearly. She ensured we were well taken care of during the whole duration of our trip and assisted with the pre-planning and post excursion.

The safari themselves were a great time and the food provided was amazing. Several different parks all had their own uniqueness to them. Budget camping itself was well worth being immersed and hearing the animals at night added to the experience.

Thank you Naomi and Makini Tanzania Expedition!!!

Outstanding and extraordinary tour operators! Use them.
5/5

Outstanding and extraordinary tour operators! We had an incredible experience from start to finish. We had an excellent and knowledgeable driver/tour guide for two five-day private sojourns. We could not ask for more as he focused on us and our needs including seeking out unique off-the-grid places that would be of deep interest to us. He went out of his way to ensure we saw the pygmy elephants at Twyfelfontein. We could not be more pleased with him. Be sure to ask for him, Puvi Haakuria (Merron Jr.), to be your guide; you will not regret it! Ms. Aina Jairus was also most helpful in organizing the trip.

Amazing experience
5/5

Just come back to the UK after an amazing time in Tanzania. We did the 4 day safari, our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. 6 days would have been perfect.

I booked the safari months in advance all via online. I emailed the company back and forth until i was happy with the itinerary and budget i had

We had Witson as our guide, he was an amazing guide with 14 years of experience so he knew where to go to make the most of our day. By the last day we managed to see all the Big 5

The safari compnay were great at communicating. Always replying back to my messages fast and checking to see everything was alright.

We stayed at luxury camps and absolutely loved it. We got upgraded to a better hotel on our first night which we really loved, it was 'the retreat hotel and spa'.

Our day usually started around 7am straight after breakfast and then finished around 5pm. Long day but seeing the animals makes up for it.

Still think about this holiday a lot. It was a once in a lifetime experience.

To finish the trip we took a flight to Zanzibar for 4 nights before we came back to the UK.

Shout out to Witson for an amazing and unforgettable African Safari

Love Noz & Naz
