Amazing experience
The experience was amazing! We were able to see the Big Five very quickly, and the guide put in a lot of effort to make sure we had this experience. He was always kind and kept asking if we were satisfied. It was our first safari, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Peter Kapino is a great and experienced guide, made a great effort to show us best sightings
Trip was amazing. We did a 5 day safari and Peter was a very experienced guide that make an additional effort to help us see the best spots of the parks we went to. Communication was fast and good with the company, they picked up at our desired drop-off point. The meals were good, especially in the first campsite, the staff always very kind and helpful. Totally worth it, the budget version was great and did not feel budget at all!

Five day budget safari, which was great value for money, apart from day five.
We were picked up from our hotel on the first morning before heading to the Axis Safari office for final payment. We were on the road with our group by 8:30am heading for Masai Mara. We arrived at our camp at lunch time, had lunch, before an evening game drive which was brilliant. Day two was a full days game drive in Masai Mara, before staying at the camp again. We saw four of the "big five" in the Masai Mara (All except Rhinos). The camp was basic, but more than adequate for a budget Safari. We saw white and black Rhinos in Lake Nakuru National Park.
Our guide, Peter Kapino, was brilliant, with extensive knowledge of wildlife on the safari, as well as cultural knowledge when passing through the industrial and farming towns/villages. He was very approachable and answered all of our questions.
In terms of the additional activities, the Masai Village visit was worth the $20 to experience their culture and traditions, the boat ride in Lake Naivasha was not worth $20 extra (we didn't go to the island, so cannot comment on that), and the bike riding in Hells Gate National Park was good fun, we really got on with our group, so it was nice making new friends as the safari went on. Only real criticism would be that we felt our last day was cut short, two people in our party of eight were on a seven day safari, so were heading for Amboseli National Park, after dropping us back in Nairobi. This meant that day five effectively finished at 11am, with lunch at 11:15 (we weren't really hungry), and back to Nairobi just before 2pm. I suppose the operator was unable to make up a full car with a five day group, but was a bit of a shame.

Professional, reliable, friendly guide and offering unforgettable safari experience.
I had an incredible time adventuring with African Bush Explorers, the service throughout the safari was exceptional. The guide was knowledgeable, patient and genuinely passionate about wildlife which made the game drive exciting and informative.
I would definitely love to travel again with African Bush Explorers

Terrible experience
Worst tour organizer and company ever. This is a Kenyan company and we booked a combined Kenya-Tanzania safari in March 2025 for September with a shared tour in Kenya and private tour in Tanzania on comfort level.
While before our safari date the company replied readily to our questions, from the first day of our actual safari we experienced lack of organization and support: several accommodations didn't have reservations for us, the company changed 5 of 6 accommodations in total, cancelled 1 park in Kenya and 1 park in Tanzania, modified the length of our stay in the accommodations and our game drives, didn't arrange appropriate border crossing, changed the entire schedule in Tanzania compared to the booked itinerary, had shared tour in Tanzania as well.
From one day to another they changed something but promised that all other parts of the tour would remain unchanged, then the next day they modified something again. Never asked our permission, just informed us about the changes and expected us not to complain and forced us to do the tour the way they wanted. When we tried to get an explanation and told our concerns and the conversation turned inconvenient for them, they simply went silent, didn't reply to our messages, or hung up the phone. We couldn't relax, and spent hours every day arguing. They left us with no support at all, never apologized for any change they made and kept lying during our safari about the upcoming days.
Seemed like they just took our money but didn't organize anything in time, leaving everything for the last minute. Later on we got connected to the Tanzanian co-partner company who told us that the pre-booked trip doesn't even exist, the Kenyan company booked a tour for a day later and they didn't even pay enough for a private tour.
Complete disaster and nightmare.

It was an unforgettable travel experience!
The combination of Kenyan safari and Diani Beach really made our trip a dream, and we booked Kinfolks Africa Adventures, a renowned Kenyan company, to organize the trip perfectly. Seeing the wildlife in the Masai Mara was a thrill, especially the lions, elephants, and cheetahs. Our guide Mr. John was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional, who made the entire trip more enjoyable. Then when we reached Diani Beach, the white sand beach and the blue waters of the Indian Ocean brought an otherworldly peace. The excitement of the safari during the day and the tranquility of the beach at night this is what makes Kenya unique to us in terms of its tranquility and excitement. Without a doubt, it was an unforgettable travel experience!
