Great safari trip with a good price
4/5

We asked Karibu to arrange a safari trip from Nairobi to Diani beach in four days and they really did a great job. Our guide David was such a nice man. And the lodges we stayed in were amazing. The first one we slept in tents in AA Amboseli Lodge. The second (Ngulia Lodge) had an outstanding view and elephants came enjoying the waterpool just in front of the hotel. We also saw a leopard while having a glass of wine. And there were Baboons al over the place. The third (Voi lodge) also was amazing with a great view and a watch basement from which you can spot elephants drinking on just 1 metre distance. We were really amazed by these lodges because we thought we would have more basic logees. We went to Amboseli park and Tsavo East and West. They are nice parks and we saw the big five. But you won't trip over the animals. I have done more safari trips in which I saw a lot more. But its nature you can't direct animals. I have been told that if you want to see more animals you should go to Masai Mara, but for us this park was too far north, because we wanted to end in Diani. I would highly recommend Karibu safari. A specially because you get great value for your money. Way cheaper than many other safari organizations. We were with three women and five children (ages 11 till 15) and we all sat in one jeep (landcruiser). Really great for we just really had a private safari trip this way. David is a great guide and really tries to make the best of it in searching and searching for the animals you would like to see.

Kenya is Really Beautiful!
4/5

Kenya is not well represented out here. This safari enables us to find out more about Kenya than we ever imagined. Well, when preparing for this safari, we were worried since it would have been our first time in Africa. Until we came across a consultant from Dallago Tours Kenya Tanzania. These guys really know what they are doing. They helped us plan and select the best itinerary. Then came our 10 days Kenya Safari. From their clean 4x4 land cruisers, to hotels, and guides, it was a great experience. For some reason they knew exactly when to hit the roads in Amboseli and Maasai Mara to see the best animals. From Leopards, to Lions, Cheetahs, we even witnessed hunting in actions.

Beyond expectations!

Beyond expectations!

Ibrahim is one of the most caring & kind person we ever met. He really made all possible efforts to understand the specific desires of each one and to meet them

We booked very last minute and communication was easy and fast. Our guide Fredy showed all the best sights of Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park and Ngorogoro crater. They picked beautiful hotels for us as well as a very authentic tented camp in Serengeti

I would recommend Luitours and Safaris to anyone considering a safari to Tanzania. In fact, we didn't stop smiling.

Thank you Ibrahim and Fredy for making our Tanzanian experience a trip we will never forget. It was really nice.

Efficient budget solution
4/5

We took a 7 day Kenya Safari, which was overall a good value. Camping in Amboseli and numerous animals were a highlight of our trip to Kenya. We added a hike to Mt Longonot to our safari, which was a good decision. Nontheless we have a couple of critics. Castro, our guide, was ok, his driving a little too much for us, specially on the main roads. His knowledge of animals would need a little upgrade. For a visit of the final park we were transfered to another group, which brought us another guide, Jackson. We have only compliments for him, really great and experienced guide. Critics for Karibu Safaris is that they promised on webpage water for the whole week, when on the 5th day Castro said there is no more water. Also the change in the program wasn't communicated with us, so we did the big hike to Mt Longonot directly when arriving to Kenya, without any sleep, unlike on the agreed 3rd day. Nontheless safari in Kenya was one of the most fulfilling experiences ever and a must if you are there!

8 days / 7 nights tailored Kenya Safari
4/5

We have booked our Safari with Explorer Kenya a few weeks before our trip.
The contact via Email with Explorer Kenya was easy and Robert got always back with answers in no time.
At the end we had a tailor made safari of 8 days and 7 nights in Amboseli and Masai Mara.
The entire organization was top. There was a little hick up as we ordered Softdrinks throughout the entire safari but they got forgotten. The problem could be solved very easy during the trip.
Our Safari Driving Guide Jonathan was top. He was super helpful, professional and he brought us always safe and sound from A to B. Thanks to his enthusiasm and the radio equipment of the Land cruiser we were able to see so many animals in both parks and had some unforgettable moments.
As a little con I would like to mention the hassle with the payment. First the company charges a high percentage of 3,9% of the total amount for Visa and Mastercard payments. This shouldn't be anymore in 2021. (By the way: we didn't pay any credit card fees at hotels, Lodges, shops and so on). But ok, so we choose the bank transfer. I sent the deposit of the safari with all costs covered by my bank but 15$ got lost somewhere in the transaction. It was no problem as I payed the rest of the amount prior arrival. So I did sent the rest of the amount, all costs covered by myself plus an additional 15$ to cover the cost lost in transaction. But this time 33$ didn't arrived. Explorer Kenya said it is an intermediate bank but my house bank operates worldwide and sent the amount direct. So to avoid losing 48$ please check with your bank about the payment.

All in all we had an amazing stay in Africa and the Parks and variety of animals are simply amazing. Thank you to Jonathan for the adventures and guiding us during our Safari.

Mama Savanna were always quick to respond to queries, and provided an amazing trip through Tanzania.
4/5

Mama Savanna were the first operator to respond to my enquiry for a trip through Tanzania. My boyfriend and I were looking to experience the best possible wildlife viewing, staying at a range of mid-range camps and lodges, and Mama Savanna delivered. In the lead up to the trip, Alex was impressive with his communication, adapting the itinerary to suit multiple changes and always responding very quickly, no matter what time of night or day we were messaging him from the UK!

As this was our first trip to Tanzania, we wanted to experience a classic safari, and our itinerary including Serengeti, Lake Manyara and Tarangire definitely delivered on this. Our guide, Allen, was experienced and knowledgable for the most part, ensuring that we were well looked after in the camps, and working hard to give us the best wildlife viewing possible. He really came through when it came to the Mara River crossing which we thought we might be too late in the season to see, but he knew the right time of day to be there in case they crossed, and we ended up being in an excellent position to get great photos and watch the spectacle with only 2 other game viewers there! He was an excellent spotter, particularly when it came to leopards which he could see from a great distance.

The itinerary is flexible right up to the point of travel, so we were a little surprised not to be staying in some of the camps we had agreed on, but all of the camps and lodges were excellent and many were actually upgrades so this worked out really well.

Allen worked tirelessly to make sure we had a great experience, getting up before dawn to prep the vehicle and always with a great attitude. He was tactful in giving us a great balance of meals with him and time to ourselves too. The only area that was a little more challenging was the birding - I am a keen birder and this wasn't Allen's natural area of expertise, but he worked so hard to bone up on this and was always looking things up for us and consulting his birding book. Overall our trip to Tanzania was fantastic and we were really pleased with the quality of the experience, the wildlife viewing and the communication and organisation of Mama Savanna, as well as the reasonable pricing.
