A safari that surpassed expectations
5/5

This was a spectatular trip, from pickup from the Kilimanjaro airport to the return. The guides were knowledgable, excellent communicators, and catered to everyone in our party very attentively and conscientiously. They had so much knowledge to share, not only about the animals, but plants, natural and human history across the various ecosystems, sharing very passionately about the world around us. Our guide also found out as much as he could about everyone in our safari vehicle--we stayed together as a group--and then tailored his commentary accordingly. One member of our group was an avid bird photographer, with all the expensive gear, and our guide made sure he saw even the hard-to-spot species. He made sure that we got to see all of the species residing across the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Serengeti Plain, and was thoughtful and dogged about positioning us for maximum viewing opportunities. (It can get hectic around some animals when there is a sighting; there seems to be an art to jockeying for position when this happens). The Giraffe Expeditions team picked out accommodations for us that were more than comfortable, and sometimes downright luxurious. I cannot recommend this team highly enough.

Diligent and welcoming!
5/5

I loved my week in NgoroNgoro, Serengeti, and Tarangire. I did a camping trip -- and I was a little nervous leading up to it, but the camping was super comfortable and Roko and team made me feel at home. The food was exceptional -- all the other safari groups were jealous of my lunches. Saw a ton of wildlife and Roko listened and learned my preferences for wildlife.

Unforgettable adventure!
5/5

The trip was amazing, the best trip of my life so far! Our Guide Dennis is a very nice and knowledgeable man, he spotted so many animals in each reserve we visited that were invisible to us until we approached closer, and was so patient and helpful tailoring the safari to our specific interests (seeing the exotic birds of Kenya)!

Excellent tour operator
5/5

I found Exposure through a Facebook safari page. After receiving over 10 quotes, Exposure was able to give me the best price for what I wanted. Victor is fantastic, he was patient and accommodating from start to finish. Our guide Rafael was the best, we couldn't have asked for a better guide. We went as a couple for my birthday, and picked mid-range accomodation. Victor made sure we had a wonderful experience fron start to finish, and any issues were dealt with very professionally and without any stress. Would definitely recommend!!

The best you could hope for
5/5

We went on a 5 day safari with Safari Soles that far exceeded my expectations. Our guide Estomiy was amazing. His knowledge about all the animals and plants in all three parks is incredible, he knows every road of all the parks like the back of his hand and has such an easygoing personality, he made our trip of a lifetime be even better than I could imagine. Setting up the safari was easy with Safari Soles, they were willing to accommodate change requests without any issue. The locations we stayed at each night were all comfortable, had great food and friendly staff. We fell asleep to sounds of lions roaring-something I’ll never forget.
We got to see all big 5, all ugly 5 and the river crossing of the Great migration! Absolutely amazing. I will forever recommend Safari Soles and Estomiy to anyone who is thinking of going to Tanzania.

Exceptional experience with Longway Expeditions
5/5

My partner and I have just returned from a trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar with Longway Expeditions. And it was nothing short of INCREDIBLE.

One important factor for us was to travel with a local company, supporting the local economy and community. I was connected to Longway Expeditions through Responsible Travel in Brighton. Our trip was 7 days in Tanzania visiting Arusha, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and a hike on Kilimanjaro, followed by 5 nights in Zanzibar.

From my first interaction with co-owner Anne, I knew we had made the right choice. Anne was friendly, helpful and communicative, providing a detailed itinerary and all the information we needed ahead of the trip. She was flexible and accommodating, even when we requested a last-minute change to the agenda. And we were later to find out that she was also an amazing cook, as we enjoyed delicious home-cooked meals while out on some of our drives.

Anne’s husband and business partner Abu was our driver and guide for the 7 days in Tanzania. Abu picked us up from the airport and immediately made us feel welcome and at ease. Throughout our time with Abu, it was clear he did things differently and we learnt so much. He has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the parks and their fascinating wildlife and ecosystems, which he took time to share, enriching our experience. He went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best animal sightings possible – often taking quieter, less crowded routes – and it paid off with the rich diversity of animals we saw. We came up close and personal with elephants, saw mating lions on their ‘honeymoon’, found lion cubs and cheetahs snoozing, watched 2 male giraffes fighting, tracked hundreds of zebra and wildebeests along their migration, and so much more.

The accommodation throughout was excellent. Clean, comfortable and with a focus on locally owned. Some lodges even have kitchen gardens, providing fresh food straight to the plate. A particular highlight was the Into the Wild Africa tented camp in the heart of the Serengeti, where we could hear the lions prowling outside at night!

When I asked Abu how they came up with the name Longway Expeditions, he told me that it reflected the long path that he and Anne had come along together to set up their dream. Their passion, hard work, love of their beautiful country, knowledge and expertise, attention to detail, and care for the people and planet shine through in every way. When we said goodbye at the airport, I had genuine tears in my eyes. The whole experience had touched me deeply and I felt like I was saying goodbye to old friends.

For anyone considering a safari holiday in Tanzania or Kenya, I cannot recommend Longway Expeditions highly enough.

Asante Sana Anne and Abu. We are already planning our next trip!

Everything is arranged.
5/5

First we went to Zanzibar. The taxi was already there when we landed and drove us to the hotel. We went to Arusha after one day on Zanzibar. We were exited to go on safari so the planning was perfect! The flight tickets were given to us on paper a day before we went on safari. We did a four day safari. Me and my partner had een private guide and safari jeep. The guide was very nice and knew a lot about Tanzania and the wilderness. Everywhere we came the transfers were arranged. The lodges during the safari were perfect. The lodges were luxury and very clean. The food was also very good at every lodge. The game drives were amazing. We had a very good time and saw a lot of animals. After the safari we had a few days to relax on Zanzibar. I would recommend paradise & wilderness to everyone. You don’t need to worry about a thing because everything is arranged.
