Punctual
4/5

We booked a 2-day excursion to Akagera parc for a group of 6 collegues. The booking and information part was very clear and smooth and mailings were answered immediately! We were picked up by our driver Tawfik at our hotel in Kigali and than the adventure could begin! We had a very nice 2 day safari including a sunset boat safari which I would highly recommend! We stayed at Ruzizi tented lodge in the Akagera parc, this is heaven!!! Tawfik was entertaining and careful and was at our service till the last moment. This trip was excellent value for money! Do no longer hesitate . Golden rwanda safaris will make you happy!

Professional and caring. Good information and follow up provided
4/5

The communications with the operator was good. We got a change of travel dates due to COVID, and they were able to accommodate our changes with little fuzz

The driver was very knowledgeable and pleasant, answering our million questions with a flair

Even though we travelled significant distances between the parks, the car was comfortable and the drives interesting

All venues were arranged and nothing came unexpected

A super experience I would highly recommend!

Once you started the tour it was Very Good. You just need to get past the office.
4/5

My husband and I were travelling for 2 1/2 months before we arrived in Cape Town. Before we left we got in touch and asked if there was any other information that was needed. We were told they had everything and an itinerary would be sent to us 60 days prior to arrival. We had to ask for this 3 days before arrival. During those 2 1/2 months on the road we were asked 3 and 4 times for the same information and sometimes by the same person. When I complained I was told that several people had to touch the file and sometimes things got lost. Information requested were flight arrivals and departures, emergency numbers etc. We then received a charge for $250 and were told this had to be paid before final arrangements could be made. After many emails we found out that a flight had been charged to our account that was not ours. Each email we sent we asked for confirmation and most of the time did not receive it. After many emails about flights the office still did not send the correct information to the guide that was waiting for us. We spent another hour at the airport waiting for this to be sorted out. It was very frustrating and we were concerned about the complete trip.
Then the guides took over. They were wonderful. The accomodations were good and the guides were knowledgeable, courteous and bent over backwards to help you out. The meals were fantastic and actually too much. We decided not to go for dinner one evening because we were not hungry. I think it would be best for us (not everyone) if you just had 2 big meals a day and a snack. We spent many hours in restaurants. The restaurants were wonderful but sitting and waiting 2 hours for lunch was not for us. You could pick anything off the menu so everyone was satisfied. The tours were great and the adventures were over the top.

Big five;)
4/5

We did a 4 day safari with foot slopes on november 9,2016. There was a group of 6 of us with our guide and driver Omar and cook William.Omar was very knowlegable and patient and answered all of our questions. And thank to him we saw the big five and many many more. Chef was also good and kept us well fed. Nature is gorgeus and it really was like in national geographic. My favorite thing was sleeping in tent souranded with open plains and wild animals. The only thing that could be better is the state of showers and toilets in campsite but that is just the way africa is. Overall we are very satisfied with everything. Thank you

Amazing game viewing
4/5

Did a 3 night, 4 day safari in October and loved it. I signed up to it on my own, and there was just one other person on the trip so it was a very private and personal experience. We did the basic camping safari. Tents are provided and put up for you prior to you arriving at the campsite. You have 2 members of staff - a chef and a guide. Guide is brilliant at spotting wildlife and very knowledgeable. Chef really impressed me with the food. There was always an abundance of it so you never go hungry.

We were originally due to go to Lake Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorogoro but at the last minute our guide changed from Lake Manyara to Tarangire as he'd heard that the wildlife wasn't very good in Lake Manyara for a few days prior - so they always try to take you to the best places. When in the parks, the guides all speak to each other so you have a higher chance of viewing wildlife.

In the Serengeti & Ngorogoro crater, the campsites are really wild. Often, lions and other wildlife walk through the campsites. I found this very scary when sleeping in the tent!

Saw incredible things, the only thing we didn't spot was the black rhino but they are very rare. Managed to see a cheetah really close up which was probably the highlight. An abundance of elephants and giraffes. Lions eating a zebra and fighting. Plenty of wildebeest. Everything was incredible.

Also, Richard (who runs the company) will really look after you. Even while not on safari, he set up a good hotel the nights either side, and helped me get into Arusha town by taxi and showed me how to get back. He will help you with any questions at all.

Great Luxury Safari Tour in Northern Safari!
4/5

We've done a 6 nights Luxury Safari Tour with World Tours & Safaris in Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti, Lake Manyara and Arusha National Park. The boss Richard at the beginning of reservation was fine in communications, very quickly reply and feedback to questions and requests, we did payments of quotes by credit card without problems. Our driver Cosmas was a very nice & available person, motivated to make us an incredible Safari Tours and it was so, we saw all animals possibles. Our first Lodge Maramboi was very very special, we had only few problems with Arusha stays, we do not suggest at all Oasis Hotel in Arusha town, it's better in anycase making check our locations/lodge proposed before make reservation. Our feedback in particular is very positive for the Driver and full of love and gratitude for the incredible wonders of Tanzania National Parks and least for but last...Lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Zebras, Wildebeests, Ghepards, Pumba and many many others.

My Wilde Beast Experience
4/5

Good services at the best rates in the region. Experienced the first lot of the Wilde beast migration across Mara River. Good communication and excellent game drive. Wouldn't have gotten such a spectacular adventure at that rate elsewhere. Looking forward to next year's adventure same place.

An awesome 3 days in isolation
Overall rating
4/5

As a group of friends in December 2006 we decided to make Khaudum Game Reserve one of our destinations while on a 4x4 self drive trip through Namibia.

We had read a fair amount about the park during our preparations but the main attraction for us was that it was a destination where not many people tend to travel at that time of the year, mainly due to the heat and because it's the beginning of the rainy season so there is less game to be seen. Now because we live in South Africa it's not all about the Big 5 for us, sometimes the smaller things have far more appeal!

We entered the park from the North and had read all about the thick sand on the way in. Shortly after we turned off the tar we decided to let some air out of our tyres to make the sand driving easier. We immediately felt the immense heat both from the sun as well as the sand! It was very slow going due to the hot sand but we slowly made our way South. Along the way we stopped to help another group of vehicles the were headed North but were stuck and had been for a few hours. They were towing large off-road trailers which obviously made the going more difficult. We managed to help them and then headed off again.

We reached Khaudum camp and were the only vehicles there, just as we'd hoped. We setup camp and head off for an afternoon drive. We didn't see too much but the scenery was magnificent to say the least. We arrived at a watering hole to the East of the camp and had a few sun downers and chatted amongst ourselves, what more could one ask for.

Early that evening while were were headed back to camp there was large thunderstorm that had been building up in the distance, little did we know that it had come straight though camp and simply tossed our tents into the trees some 50m away from where they had been erected, tent pegs and all! Let's just say that we didn't have a good nights sleep at all due to all our bedding being wet!

The facilities at Khaudum camp weren't very good but that isn't of much importance to us. It's about being out in nature.

The following morning was another glorious morning in Africa, we were now headed for Sikereti but had decided to make a full day of it and travel most of the parks roads. We went East via Leeupan and zig zigged our way towards camp. At Leeupan we decided to break for breakfast, while we were eating we had a very large bull elephant come to visit. He was extremely inquisitive and kept coming closer and closer till we eventually decided it was time to move away quietly in our vehicles and let him be.

Along the way we saw a brilliant herd of Roan Antelope, this for us was one of the highlights of the trip purely because there are very few natural breeding herds left in Southern Africa and this is the one area that can still boast this!

The birding was good in the park and the scenery magic.

In Sikereti camp the facilities were better than Khaudum camp and we had a lot more nocturnal animals visiting us in the evening. The Hyena's can be a pest but that comes with the turf I guess.

The road from Sikereti South was very wet with lots of black cotton soil, in total contrast to the North in terms of terrain and scenery.

All in all Khaudum in an wonderful park to visit and we'll most certainly be back there again. September / October are the best times for game viewing but will also be the busiest in terms of visitors. I know which time of the year I will go back though ... December / January.

Cheers
Mike
