Simply the best
I am an experienced traveler who has visited many countries, but this was my first time in Central Africa.
My first thought was to go on a safari, so I requested quotes from several agencies. After comparing them, I chose Abantubo because of the travel itinerary they proposed and the professionalism they showed throughout the booking process. They always responded quickly and professionally to all my questions and concerns, and their quote was the most balanced among those I received.
Here are my thoughts about the safari I took with Abantubo:
1) National Parks: I visited Lake Mburo National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, the Ishasha Sector and Murchison Falls National Park.
I highly recommend all of them. I saw so many animals in their natural habitat, and driving through the parks in the jeep was truly exciting. While the driver is at the wheel, you can stand up in the jeep and take in everything around you.
You never know which animals you will see or how many you will encounter — nature decides...
2) Lodges: I spent six nights in six different lodges.
I can confidently say that Abantubo pays great attention to accommodation. Every lodge was clean, the food was good, the staff were friendly and the locations were excellent.
My favorites were the lodge on Lake Bunyonyi and the one on the Nile, absolutely beautiful!!!
3) Driver/Guide: I did the safari with Emmanuel. I could not have asked for anyone better...
First of all, he is an excellent driver. He is also a knowledgeable guide, always ready to answer any question, patient, helpful, empathetic and polite. After spending seven days together, I now consider him a friend, someone whose company I genuinely enjoyed.
4) Organization: I was extremely satisfied with this aspect as well. Mr. Nixon, the owner of Abantubo, proved to be an honest and reliable person from the very beginning and throughout the safari. Every single day, including Saturday and Sunday, he checked in to see where we were and whether there were any problems. He is a conscientious person who clearly cares about his work and pays great attention to every detail.
Conclusion: I would like to return to Africa in the future, and if I do, I will not waste time looking for other agencies — I will choose Abantubo again. My experience with them was extremely positive.
I know I have not written anything — absolutely anything — negative, but that is simply the truth. In the past, I have had no problem giving negative reviews when they were deserved, but with this agency I honestly cannot find anything to criticize. Everything was perfect!
Finally, I want to say that I have written this review with complete sincerity. I hope Mr. Nixon and Emmanuel will read it, because they deserve this recognition. They did an excellent job and I want to acknowledge it publicly.

Great choice at an affordable price
My partner and I used Lenchada Safaris on the recommendation of a friend. We spent six days in three different parks. The company offered excellent value for money. Sometimes you have to adapt, but that's subjective. We were lucky because we found a great group to travel with, and Joshua, our driver, was excellent and very kind.

I took my grand daughters (11 and 8) on safari. After getting info from 10 companies I chose Imara Safaris and I’m so glad I did. My first point of contact was Eunice. She was great. I had so many questions and requests and she answered everyone. They chose the perfect guide for us. Isaac was so kind and excellent with my granddaughters. His main concern was for our safety and comfort and our experience was excellent because of his efforts. He was so informative and knowledgeable and really took care of us. Our accommodations were stellar and our activities were tailored to us. We did 3 game drives, a walking safari, a hot air balloon ride, and a biking safari. After our safaris we headed to Diani beach for a few days of R & R before our trip home. It was truly wonderful. I HIGHLY recommend this company. You will not be disappointed! I am so glad the decision to go with Imara Safaris was made. This trip could not have been better. Major shout out to Eunice and Isaac and all the other members of the Imara team. We will NEVER forget this experience of a lifetime. Thank your from the bottom of our hearts.

Responsive and fun
My husband and I completed a 6 day safari with Africa Uncovered last week and we still cannot believe how good it was. From the very beginning of planning our itinerary, we were impressed with Archie’s responsiveness. He got back to us quickly and always offered to meet our expectations. He was able to build an itinerary which was exactly what we wanted.
Our guide Tafara met us at the airport and as it was a late night arrival took us straight to our accommodation, which was lovely. The other family who were supposed to join our group had cancelled, so we ended up with Tafara all to ourselves for the full week. How lucky were we? He gave us some suggestions for the next day, to make the most of the time we had and that first day was amazing. Tafara suggested we had enough time to cross the border into Zambia, so we took the opportunity to and so glad we did. We were taken to a reserve where we saw elephants, giraffes, and most importantly white rhinos.
We had 2 days in Victoria Falls, then 2 days in Hwange, and 2 days in Botswana. All our transfers and border crossings were done with a minimum of fuss. Some of the drives were very bumpy, but that’s not the company’s fault. Just relax and enjoy. And if you relax enough, you may even doze off, as I did.
Our safari drivers were very good, always safe and mindful of the animals we were watching. All our guides were friendly and obviously enjoy their jobs.
We are already planning a return trip to visit other countries on Africa Uncovered’s menu. We can highly recommend this company and Tafara in particular as a guide.
