Fantastic!
5/5

The tour was nothing short of incredible. Gifton, my tour guide, was knowledgeable, funny and extremely personable which made the day so much fun. I was picked up from Kilimanjaro airport and we started with the waterfall. This was great to do first up while the weather was cool and I had the energy for it.

The hike to the waterfall is decent but not too long and the views in Meru forest are breathtaking! Definitely bring along a good pair of hiking shoes as the trail crosses the river multiple times.

I was awed by the incredible craftsmanship at Shanga and the African Art Gallery at the cultural centre just has to be experienced. I could not recommend enough!

Horrible experience with Birchill Expeditions – we felt scammed and harassed!
1/5

Our two-day visit to Akagera National Park was extremely disappointing. Although the animals were seen on the game drive, the experience was not at all enjoyable. The canoe trip to Ihema Lake was not very exciting, and the animals had to be seen from a distance. The biggest problem was the misconduct of Birchill Expeditions—they forced us to pay extra money and harassed us in various ways throughout the trip. Their management was very poor, and the behavior of the guides was also immodest. Please do not book this company, or you may not get what you paid for.

This was an excellent opener to our week on Safari, and we enjoyed the unique animal behaviors we saw, including tree lions, a cheetah, and many others.

If there were 6 stars I would give them! One of the most beautiful locations I have ever seen and just filled with wildlife and natural wonder. I wish we had more time here. Absolutely breathtaking.

Of the parks visited, this was the hardest to see animals and seems like ecological change has impacted the behavior of them. It was a lush jungly vibe and we did see a lot of wildlife, to be sure, but as a follow on to the other parks, I might have allocated the time to the Crater or Serengeti.

Fantastic In Every Way

5/5

We visited Tanzania with hopes but no expectations. The experience was life changing. Late December/ early January, the weather was warm and comfortable, and we literally saw every animal we wanted, often in droves. Our guide was fun and knowledgeable, the accommodations varied in style but never in welcome. Loved it, and hope to have another experience like this in my lifetime.

Gorillas and Wildlife: A Perfect 10-Day Safari
5/5

Karumuna Safaris organized an exceptional 10-day Gorillas and Wildlife Safari for us. Richard, the managing director, personally ensured our itinerary was seamless. Michael, our guide, was professional and knowledgeable. We visited Bwindi for gorilla trekking, Queen Elizabeth National Park for game drives, and Kibale for chimpanzee tracking. Every activity was perfectly timed, and we were never rushed. The accommodations were high-end, with excellent service. We also had the opportunity to interact with local communities, which added depth to our experience. It was a well-rounded safari with memories to cherish for a lifetime.

Explore the best of Mara with Axis Africa
5/5

We had one of the best experiences of our lives. Axis Africa Safari organized our whole trip very well with the best in class accommodations and comfortable game drives considering we had 2 kids of 3 year old. Jack had been a fantastic captain giving us the view of the best wildlife at Masai Mara in the closet of proximities. This shows his commitment expertise in helping us with the best spotting of wildlife. Highly recommend Jack to be chosen for the game drives. Winnie was fantastic with hosting us and giving us the best inputs and making sure we were very comfortable. Kudos guys- Team Axis Africa!!

Extraordinary safari experience in Tanzania.
5/5

Our 6 days safari experience in Tanzania. The team was very flexible with scheduling and they maintained excellent communication. Guide (Tom) he was awesome, friendly and a lot of experienced about wildlife. We had the privilege of seeing all of the Big Five, lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinos up close in their natural habitats. The sight of the Serengeti bathed in golden light, with zebras, gazelles, and giraffes all peacefully grazing together, left us speechless. It was as if we had stepped into a nature documentary, but this time, we were living it. The adventure felt like a true immersion into the natural world rather than a touristy, commercialized experience. We really felt connected to the environment. Given the quality of the experience, We felt like us got excellent value for my money. The level of service, equipment, and guidance provided was well worth the price. This journey was more than just a safari it was a chance to connect as a family and immerse ourselves in the wild beauty of Tanzania. Thank you, Williamson Adventures and Tom, for an experience we will treasure forever.
