Everything we hoped for - and more!
At the outset, we set out our budget, the type of accommodation we wanted and what we hoped to see and Discover Africa delivered on everything.
The travel arrangements - including ground and air transport worked smoothly - at each stage we were kept up to date with any schedule changes imposed by the airlines etc.
Our accommodation was just what we expected - both tented camps were comfortable with friendly welcoming staff who worked hard to ensure that we were happy. The food was good - nothing fancy but wholesome and plentiful if you wanted - in particular the breakfast and lunch boxes were well thought out with a good variety. There was a good selection of house drinks along with tea, coffee etc. The Hot water bottles in the tented camp above Ngorongoro was very welcome - we hadn't expected to be quite that cold.
Both guides were excellent - friendly, considerate and helpful but above all immensely knowledgeable on animals and birds.
We saw everything we expected to see and more - and to be honest, more than we had even hoped for. Our main goal was the Migration Crossing the Mara River but we also saw the Big Five - over two days - along with most of the other animal species and a wonderful variety of birdlife.
We have enjoyed previous safaris in Botswana - Okavanga Delta and Northern Kalahari - and in South Africa - Kruger and KZN - but this trip was probably the best overall safari experience that we have had.
Based on our experience, we would be happy to recommend Discover Africa to anyone interested in a Safari trip anywhere in Africa.

Ten days filled with wonder
If you want to see wonderful landscape and now and then some elephants and impalas, you can go by your own car on safari. But if you want to get really close to the wildlife of Botswana, you MUST book Julius and his Go Bold Adventure Team, because he is the best. We had the best days of our lives with him, living in tents in the bush, every second day set up at a new place by his very pleasant and helpful team (thanks to Oti and Gau; we even had roomservice in our tents ;-)), spoiled with breakfast, lunch and a three-course-dinner every evening thanks to the chef Gee (how could she manage with only one fireplace?) and filled with wonder by Julius, who showed us the wildlife in all its beauty. We came near lions and leopards we could never have dreamed. Julius knows all about the animals and because of that he knows where to find them. Every question we had he answered. He saw the animals, when we only saw grass, by the movement of one ear. We could trust him in every way and felt very safe in his presence. So we had a wonderful, unforgetable time.

Excellent service, going over and above in all regards
Faultless friendly service from start to finish. Debbie went over and above to ensure we had the most amazing safari. Everything was planned to perfection and Debbie took the hassle out of all the bookings. She listened to what we were looking for and the end result was the most super 10 days family safari staying at some awesome lodges and experiencing Africa at its best. Everything was well thought through from cost to activities and suitability for our group (4 adults 4 teens 2 grandparents!)

Amazing experience
We had an amazing experience travelling with Kasaka Tours in july 2022. Tassia and John are the best guests and tour guides. They give you background information about life in Tanzania that you would never have experienced with another, less personal, tour operator. Everything was fixed perfectly and we received a very open communication from both Tassia en John about our travels and safari. They really make you feel at home and make sure your travels are according to your preferences and wishes. The best address for travelling in beautiful Tanzania!

Excellent experience in Kenya!
We spent 6 days and 5 nights with our guide Peter travelling between Samburu, Nakuru and Masai Mara and it was an incredible experience!
First of all, communication with Joel was very easy and he replied to all our doubts very quickly. We had to change some accomodation due to some issues but the ones finally selected met our expectations by far, great places into the nature. Big rooms, swimming pools, super friendly staff and being able to see animals in the wild from our terrace.
The planning was good and we would not change it, we think it was appropriate for a first experience in a safari.
Peter was an excellent guide, he tried his best everyday so as we could see as many animals as possible and we did see them indeed, big five and much more! He was flexible with timetables, we saw sunsets, sunrises, masai village and many many animals.
Definitely a great option, Mufasa Tours and Travels won't disappoint you!

Amazing and unforgettable safari experience
I honestly cannot rave enough about Spirit of Kenya. This was our first ever trip to Kenya and our first every safari. We didn't have any information on what companies were out there and what reviews to believe. I did a lot of research before finding Spirit of Kenya and I'm so glad I picked them. Tiago and team are fantastic to deal with. He explained everything clearly, gave different options, was extremely fast at responding to any questions and just made the whole process very easy for us. The safari itself was amazing. Our guide, John, picked us up right on time from our hotel in Nairobi, drove us out to our camp and waited while we freshened up before going on our first game drive. It was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the area and knew all there is to know about the animals we saw. Our camp, Mara Bush Camp, was far and above expectations with comfortable luxury tents, amazing staff and fantastic food. All in all, an unforgettable experience. I would recommend Tiago and the team at Spirit of Kenya to anyone looking for a safari in Africa.

A guaranteed experience of a lifetime!
This safari exceeded all expectations, it was honestly an experience of a lifetime!
We (a couple) did a private 6 day/5 night Safari in Tanzania, including visits to the Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara NP, Serengeti NP and Ngorongoro Crater.
Marta our trip organiser quickly helped with all our queries throughout the planning process and ensured all logistics were organised ahead of the trip, including all accommodation and transfers.
Shaffie our tour guide was AMAZING! He shared his great knowledge and passion for the local wildlife, culture and people throughout our trip. His in-depth knowledge of the parks ensured that we were able to see a large range of wildlife, including of course the Big 5. He always went the extra mile to ensure we got the perfect photos.
The accommodation, food and included wine was also great!
If you’re thinking of doing a safari - do it. And I highly recommend this tour provider!

Fabulous safari experiences
We had a fantastic experience from the moment that Thabo our guide picked us up till the time we left. We were a group of 6 strangers at first, but became good friends almost immediately, and we stayed together for the entire safari. The stay at Humalo Lodge was great with fantastic service from the staff, and the food was amazing. The tent experience is really up to individual likes. The animals and the game drives were fascinating and productive. Then we moved to Tshkudu about a 6 hour drive, but we stopped and saw some amazing countryside, and enjoyed a good lunch. Tshkudu was another great experience, with great staff, food, accommodations and of course great game viewing. We then transferred to Livingston and stayed at the Avani Resort, right next to the Victoria Falls, what a great resort, it is in a game reserve, and animals walk and graze freely on the property. GoTouchdown has really vetted their properties and guides and does an amazing job.
Our only concern, really was with the communications regarding plane flights Relying on the internet with electricity outages and poor internet service caused a lot of angst amongst all of us. However, their contacts do respond quickly when there is service. One big recommendation is to provide easier to follow itineraries, one where the flights and transfers are separated from the location details, so that it can be easily sent as a pdf file, not uploaded to a difficult to access web page.
