We joined Serengeti Wakanda Tours for a private 6-day Fly-In Migration Crossing Safari from Arusha (Northern Serengeti → Central Serengeti → Ngorongoro Crater → Tarangire). Our guide, Willy Philemon, delivered an experience far beyond expectations.
He consistently spotted elusive wildlife—two leopards, a black rhino, and even a serval cat—while other vehicles passed unaware. His deep field knowledge covered not only mammals but birds and behavior; he described each species’ adaptations with passion and clarity.
Willy’s guiding style balances safety, professionalism, and joy. He maintained a spotless, Wi-Fi-equipped vehicle with chilled drinks and gourmet lunches, adjusted itineraries to minimize crowds, and handled radio coordination between guides to ensure everyone viewed animals respectfully. He even managed traffic near the Ngorongoro Crater so we reached our flight on time.
We appreciated his photography skills—he captured incredible DSLR shots and helped transfer them to our phones—and his thoughtful cultural insights, teaching us Swahili phrases and practical safari tips. Our tour opeator was both knowledgeable, attentive to our needs and easy to work with.
We are two senior adventures. We contracted with Africa Safari Bookings for our trip to Kenya and Tanzana. We planned the details of our trip with the guidance of Edmond our tour operator, The outcome was terrific. We encountered almost face to face the big five and other animals like Giraffes, Hippopotamus, Cheetahs, Zebra, Wildabest, Kuda, Impala, Monkeys, Hyenas, Gazelle and Thompson Gaxelle to mention a few. We felt the success of our advenrure not only goes to Edmond but our guides/ drivers. There many years of experience made this trip a success. A good guide is a must when doing this type of trip because they know how to corrdinate with the other safari drivers to find the aniimals close up. Our trip with Africa Safari Bookings was a life time experiencce and we highly recommend them.
A couple of other issues you may want to consider when booking a trip to Africa, If you go at peak season July and Aqugust there are so many safari's on the road that there are many back ups in getting in and out of the park along with waiting in line in your Safari Van to see an animals cose up for a few seconds. Another issue is goinging a group of 4 or 6 people in the same Safari Van which makes it difficult to all stand and see and take pictures of all the animals at the same time when there are so many Vans at the same sight.
We decided to go with a Van just for ourselves and were able to let the driver know when we wanted to stop to take pictures or just observe the animals. This decision was made ahead of time, During our trip this decision was a good one and was comfirmed as the best way to go for us thrrough our observations and talking with our two driver/guides. It may cost a little more but if you work with Africa Safari bookings it will all be worth it.

Perfect 12-Day Safari through Tanzania and Uganda with Deks Tours
My husband, Winton, and I booked a 12-day trip to Africa with Deks Safaris and Tours in September, and to our surprise, the entire trip was unparalleled! We initially underestimated the company because it had few reviews and was new, but their service turned out to be incredibly professional, genuine, and flawless. When we landed at Kilimanjaro Airport in Tanzania, we met him in person, perfectly introduced as a representative of the company. Our guide, Emma, provided us with an exceptional 7-day experience in Tanzania: the safaris in the Serengeti were wonderful; we spotted many big cats, wildebeest, and a wide variety of other animals.
We then continued on to Uganda, where we met our guide, Jamal, who made the gorilla and chimpanzee tracking experience truly unforgettable. Coming face-to-face with the mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest was such an amazing experience that it made us want to plan another trip to Uganda. Enoch guided for me during a 3 night visit to the Serengeti. Due to his years of experience guiding he was able to show me everything I wanted to see, from specific animals to two viewings of Great Migration crossings of the Mara River. His animal behavior knowledge made it possible for him to consistently put us in just the right place for the perfect photo opportunities. Enoch designed every day around what I wanted to do and see. Just as importantly, Enoch is a great person to spend your days with. I would be very pleased to have Enoch as a guide on any future safari trips I might take!

Amazing experience, from start to finish
With so many companies offering safari experiences, we didn't know where to start and chose Earthwings because of their consistently positive reviews. Amazing Masai Mara Safari
We had an amazing time on safari with Jocky. Our guide Kush was great, very personable and knowledgeable and brought us to see amazing sights in the Mara. The accommodations were basic but had everything we needed, Helen was a great host. We really enjoyed our safari and wish we could do it all over again!
