The perfect safari
5/5

My husband and I did the 5-day safari, visiting Lake Manyara, Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and 2 nights at the Serengeti. The whole trip was incredible. We got to see elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, monkeys, wilderbeasts, buffalos, hyenas just to name a few. Tarangire was just breathtaking and definitely one of our favourite visits. Our guide Emmanuel was amazing, full of knowledge about all the animals, the forest and taught us lots about Tanzanian way of life. Accommodation was all fantastic, we stayed at Eileen's lodge before and after the Serengeti and in tented lodges in the Serengeti and overall a fantastic experience and would 100% recommend.

Everyone you meet is so lovely and welcoming- Asante sana for an amazing experience.

Great Safari with our guide Dickson!
5/5

The tour was great, 3-days Safari including mara river where you see hippos and crocodiles. On the Safari we’ve seen a lot of animals: lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, serval cat, hyena’s, zebra’s and a lot of different antilopes, etc. Our tour guide Dickson was amazing, he did the best he could to see the animals close by and he knew a lot to tell about them! The lodges were very different and far out of each other, so you had to drive almost an hour to pick everyone up… But except that it was great! Thanks Dickson!!

Africa Marvel is the best!
5/5

My wife and I recently returned from a 12 night “Best of Africa” tour with Africa Marvel tours. Everything about the experience was first rate. Every communication with the office was quickly answered and made the planning very easy. Perminus was great to work with - even when our arrival time kept changing he made arrangements to have us picked up at the airport. He came personally to our hotel to explain the plan for our safari and was there the next day to introduce us to our driver - Joe. He even arranged a free day of sight seeing in Nairobi at the end of our safari.
Joe was our driver in Kenya and he was great! He knew so much about the animals and was able to answer any and all of our questions. While in Tanzania our driver/guide was Jeff. Jeff, too, was extremely well informed. He made out time together so much fun. He even taught us some songs in Swahili. We would encourage you to request both Joe and Jeff as your driver/guide.
The accommodations were awesome. We stayed at mid-range tented camps and lodges and were never disappointed.
This bucket list vacation was made that much better because of the service we received from Africa Marvel tours. It exceeded all our expectations.

Excellent, friendly and informative tour of Victoria Falls
5/5

Simon, our tour guide, promptly picked us up at our hotel for a walking tour of Victoria Falls. Along the 2-mile falls loop our guide provided information about the physical features of the falls, facts about the Zambezi River and the human history around the falls. Along the way, Simon pointed out local birds and wildflowers as well the points for the best photos.

Amazing <3
5/5

We went on a 5 day safari in Selous GR and Mikumi National Park.

The contact with Jacob (preparation and payment) was easy and uncomplicated.

We had a wonderful safari with Salum Msese as our driver/guide!

He could answer us to all questions regarding animals, culture and country.

He was always friendly and looking out for us. Safety was is priority (on road and safari).

We also met another guide of this tour (Joachim) which was also very helpful.

We would recommend the tours with this company (Smile With Us Tours) to anyone. Unforgettable Experience :)

Excellent Safari from beginning to end!
5/5

We booked a Safari for 6 days through Tsavo East, Tsavo West, Amboseli and Taita Hills. The communication with Lisa and Niklas was great, they responded quickly and were really friendly. The lodges were all individual, well chosen and with unique highlights.

We were picked up by our driver and guide Bashir. He was with us the entire time and he made our safari a wonderful experience. He told us so much about the different animals, their behaviours, the different landscapes but also about the nature and Kenyan culture. We felt comfortable and safe with him from the very first moment. He was really attentive, always making sure that we were fine and comfortable and we had lots of fun with him. We noticed that he took a lot of thoughts into every game drive we took with him. Every day was planned and organized in the best way!

All in all we can say, that the ratio of price and performance was excellent. Last but not least, we thank Bashir and the team of King Tomondo for the last days we spent with them. It was simply amazing!

Extremely Organized, Warm and Clear on getting your goals met
5/5

Alpine Chat gave us the experience that we could not imagine. Erick and his entire team were so organized, warm and always full of positive enforcement. The communication was impeccable. Right from Erick, the guides and even some of the porters were very fluent in English and were always willing to help. Smaller companies like Alpine Chat pay attention to every detail and you also get personal care and attention. Not only Alpine Chat was so efficient probably even better than most bigger operators, the value for the money is unbelievable. I have done ultra races in the desert organized by foreign tour operators who have such a big markup and they don't have the personal touch for two reasons. One they don't know the local language and are not able to respond to situations that come up quickly. Two not knowing the local culture makes them disadvantaged of not providing you the inner details of the area, about the mountain, about the animal habitats, the people, the tribes etc. These are the things along with the personal touch is what makes it interesting to go with Alpine chat. They are local Tanzanians, almost all of them born in Tanzania and know a lot of history. Nobody can beat that and you get to tap into that information as a bonus. A BIG add to this is Alpine Chat is significantly cheaper than the bigger tour operators plus you are also supporting the local Tanzanian company and citizens rather than some multi-national tour operator whose primary aim is to make money in all tourist locations. What blew my mind is that when I mentioned to Erick that I am a pure vegetarian and additionally don't like onions and garlic, his response to me was that it will not be a problem and his chef will arrange it. I was quite skeptical because getting vegetarian food even in America or Mexico where there are various cuisines is quite hard. But believe it or not, the vegetarian spread that I was given was so varied and delicious that I couldn't believe that Tanzanians could make such fabulous dishes. I actually started liking soups when until now I am not a soup person at all. The Chef was par excellence!! Meshak and Isaac the guides were so knowledgeable that our conversations as we were trekking were so interesting. We learnt so much about Tanzania, Mt Kilimanjaro, Mt Meru and other places. We learnt the actual name is Mt KiliMachiaro and since the british couldn't pronounce it ended up with the current name. Alpine Chat is a bird that lives all the way up at higher altitudes. A little about the Chagga tribe and other tribes. About the mystery as to how the cows ended up as wild cows at 4000M and so on. I can go on and on. Just one final thing I would say is that if you do plan to make a trip here whether to trek or to do the safari and other adventures offered by Alpine chat, you should definitely try them out. Not only it will be a good value for the money, you will be extremely happy with the experience. Namaste
