KILIMANJARO TREK, SAFARI & ZANZIBAR | August - September 2021
We are a couple and we have done a 16 days trip with the LION KING ADVENTURES, consisting on three parts: Kilimanjaro trekking + Safari + Zanzibar.
Overall, we have had an EXCELLENT experience travelling with the Lion King Adventures. We are now very happy to have chosen this agency to organize our trip. We would recommend it without any doubt!!

TRIP ARRANGEMENTS & FOLLOW-UP: Pendo was our main contact once the trip planning was set. She made all the bookings and transfer arrangements. We had very fluent communication with her before and during the trip, she is always available to resolve your doubts and concerns. She cared about all the details. The trip was extremely well organized:
⁃ The hotels were extremely well located and comfortable
⁃ All the pick-ups and transfers perfectly arranged
⁃ She takes care of all the details (arranges PCR-test if needed to go back, arranges pick up of extra luggage not needed for the safari…)
All in all, PENDO did an excellent job, we are extremely grateful to her!
KILIMANJARO TREKKING (6 days/5 nights - Marangu Route):
Although it was hard, with the support & encouragement of our guides IMRAN and FRANCIS we managed to reach the Uhuru peak (5.895m). It is an amazing experience, and the views from the summit are really worth it!! It is important to highlight that it was a collective success, without the help & contribution of each of the members of the crew we wouldn’t have been able to make it! We had a 10-members crew (2 guides, 1 cook and 7 porters).
We are now very happy to have done Marangu Route, as we appreciated to sleep in camps instead of tends.
Recommendation: be ready for the cold; bring as many winter clothes as you can (ski clothes will help a lot)
SAFARI (6 days/5 nights - Central & North Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara):
Our guide & driver, David, ensured we saw every animal! we were extremely lucky to see the BIG 5. It was worth it to extend the trip in order to go to the north; we were able to see the wildebeest migration!!
All the mid-range accommodation lodges were perfect! It is amazing to sleep in the tended lodges in the middle of the Serengeti, extremely worth it!
ZANZIBAR (4 days/3 nights): the island is totally worth it. It is preserved unexploited!
We stayed at Amaan beach bungalows, the location is amazing and totally worth it!
All in all, we have had an EXCELLENT experience travelling with the Lion King Adventures. The organization, hotels and transfers were perfect. We completely recommend organizing your trip to TANZANIA with them, you won’t regret!!

The best trip and the best guide (Michael Ismael)
The company took care of every little detail on the trip, we did not have to deal with any details during the trip (they took care of all the payments and dealing with the hotels and the entrance to nature reserves). Our guide was Mikey, I do not think there are many guides like him he was amazing. Mikey took care of everything for us, took an interest in our well-being, and it was very important to him that we will experience the trip in the best way. Mikey really did not give up until we saw all the animals we wanted to see and made sure we finished the trip satisfied and happy. Beyond that, it was a lot of fun to have a week with Mikey, he is an amazing person and we really connected with him and we had a hard time saying goodbye to him. Highly recommend the company and Mikey in particular.

Kind, very motivated, knowledgeable, a friend.
I had an unforgettable time, much thanks to eric, who was constantly motivated to make the journey even better. On a long trip like this it is important to make sure your guide is not only competent but also provides a fun experience outside of the safari vehicle. We got both. We saw the great migration, 3 crossings, including some crocodile action, and almost everything else the serengeti had to offer. Our Guide also set up an experience with local tribes, which was very unique and insightful. This trip was without a doubt the greatest experience ive ever had. Can only recommend.

A magical experience with our kids
We make in August 21 a 5 days safari starting from Arusha with Affican Polecast safari (Tanrangire, Serengetti, N’Gorongoro,Manyara Lake).
Everything was very well organised from the beginning. A driver collected us at the airport the day before the safari to bring us into their recommanded hôtel in Arusha. We met our driver/guide and we can exchange in french (it was our request: to allow kids to communicate with him).
Safari starts with lots of road hours to catch the réserves but we were very well installed in thé big 4X4, very Nice and comfortable.
By chance we saw big five and so many animals during thé trip . Organisation is very well done, our driver Philbert was thé best (he explained us so many things about animals), and our cooker Ali too. We eat so many gréât food: each day a new meal and very consistent.
We chose camp versus lodges and it was a réal expérience that we can’t Forget (Cold in thé crateria and animals came around thé tent during the night). Here again you have to think about nothing as thé driver prépared our tents whine cooker is in thé kitchen.
We were very happy and we recommand James for all his attention during our trip. Everything was perfect. Don’t hésitâte! James and his colleague John (Kili guide) are very experimented guys, they will allow to have an excellent moment with and attractive price.

Me and my husband contact Stephen already in 2020, but then corona hit and we postpone our trip to Tanzania to 2021. Stephen was really responsive, when we had any question about the safari and he explain everything. The park fees went up in 2021, but Stephen charge us price, that we deal a year before.
We took 5 days safari and visit 4 national parks. It was great experience sleeping in tents in the midle of the wild, This was best part of our trip and we saw a lot of difrent animals, also cheetah and leopard ☺ Isa was our game driver, he was really nice and he tried for us to see as many animals as we could.
I would recomend Stephen and his company to all who decide to go on safari in Tanzania. I hope I will go back some day ❤

Incredible company and incredible adventure
Amazing!!! That sums up our adventure.
Africa adventure vacations and Robert were incredible to work with. Our 9 day adventure was a once in a lifetime. From action packed days on safaris to community interactions in the afternoon. We saw the big 5 and then some. My favorite was silver back gorilla trekking. It had been a dream of mine and AAV helped make it a reality. Don’t miss adding it on to your adventure. Once we trekked to our gorillas, we got to spend an hour watching them. I was trying to take it all in. The younger ones were just as curious about us as we were them. Make sure to also hire a porter. It a great way to interact with the local community, provide jobs and lighten the load for hiking.
Our safari wouldn’t have been the same, if it wasn’t for our guide, Cesar. He kept us on schedule, he was knowledgeable and
Laughed at our jokes.
