Great company... great private guide through Mikumi/ Ruaha...
5/5

Just recently in early December 2020, I finished a trip through Tanzania Horizon Safaris and I could not have been more pleased. I arranged a 7 days/ 6 nights tour through Southern parks of Mikumi and Ruaha. Everything went perfect.

I am not a first-time safari goer, and have already been to several trips throughout Uganda. Just like Gorillas and Wildlife Safaris for Uganda, Tanzania Horizon Safaris is a class act for Tanzania.

I come from the United States, and I felt totally safe being around in Tanzania. Socially distancing is entirely possible, and almost a given going to the national parks of Tanzania. So please do not let Covid-19 prevent you from coming. In fact, it is probably better coming during this time because there is MUCH less people coming through the airports. It just felt a lot more peaceful, compared to the hectic nature prior to Covid-19.

Elizabeth, the guest relations manager for Tanzania Horizon Safaris, responded quickly with a competitive price for my trip. Another company offered a price that seemed too low and too-good-to-be-true. After further research, it was indeed that way. One should do their research before choosing a company. Tanzania Horizon Safari offered what they promised. A private guide. A well-equipped and functioning 4X4. Game drives during the day, and very good accommodations at night.

Davis, my guide, picked me up at the hotel on Day 1. We drove the Mikumi. Lots of animals there. By the end of Day 2, we saw 4 of the Big 5, with the exception of the rhino, which do not exist in Mikumi. Wildlife population was dense in Mikumi. Despite people saying there is no wilderness appeal in Mukumi, given its proximity to a road, I beg to differ. In a day through the park, I only saw maybe 5 other safari vehicles. Davis was great spotting wildlife, including a leopard in a tree. During the night, I stayed at Camp Bastian. Luxurious, and had strong hot water . Very good food at night.

On Day 4, we drove to Ruaha and I stayed at the Ruaha Hilltop Lodge. It was very remote and far from any civilization. The Lodge had an excellent view and the staff there were amazing. Inside the Ruaha National Park, it was a bit harder to find wildlife, given the trees, but Davis managed to do so. Honestly people would go to Ruaha just to escape life and be in peace. I definitely found that there. That park will remain in my heart for a long time.

I am entirely satisfied with this wonderful company, Elizabeth and Davis. All in all, everything worked out perfect. Good communication with Elizabeth. An easy payment plan (credit cards are accepted, with a small fee) with a very competitive price for a 7 day/ 6 day tour through the Southern parks. Great accommodations. Private guide. Private game drive. No need to go along with a group. Saw a lot of wildlife. I wholeheartedly give my support and props to Tanzania Horizon Safari. Job well done!

An amazing safari with the Perfect team ! Unforgettable !
5/5

Communications service by Whatsapp Bartho was really easy and perfect. He planned the Safari with our flights from Paris to Kili. I was not expected a Safari like that. The team was Perfect ! Pray the guide was so good to find animals, we saw the big fives (even the Rhino) and the cheetah (with babies). We were the first 4×4 entering the crater or N'Gorogoro and we had the breakfast in front of the hippo pool. And the cooker Soulé was amazing, he was cooking fresh and tanzanian food for each meal ! We were missing nothing, there were enough for everybody all the time. Beers and red wine is included every night
... And our group was really fun, we enjoyed our time with another portuguese couple ! I really advice everybody to make the Safari with Wakanda !!!

The ultimate safari experience!
5/5

Had the most amazing safari trip with planet safari and Jack Ntema in the beginning of June 2017. We went on a 9-day safari trip through Moremi, Khwai, Savuti, Chobe and Vic Falls.

This really was an incredible safari, and we were so lucky with our sightings! In Moremi we got to see a cheetah and lions, and we had elephants in our campsite at third bridge. On the way to Khwai we saw a leopard and some wild dogs, and in Khwai we saw elephants swimming in the river, and another leopard in the evening. On the way to Savuti we saw more wild dogs, and in Savuti we got to see lions roaring and mating in the morning. In Chobe we drove along the river and saw all kinds of animals, and on the last day in Chobe we saw a brown hyaena and a leopard with a cub.

Jack is a fantastic field guide who really knows his way around the bush. He is really good at spotting animals, even the tiniest creatures, and he lets you get enough time to take those great pictures. He is such a friendly guide, and his humour just makes it all the better. I strongly recommend a safari tour with Planet Safari and Jack Ntema to anyone who wants to discover the African wildlife up close, in some of the most beautiful places in the world.

Thank you for a safari of a lifetime Jack!

We finally summit the Kilimanjaro in Nov 30th, 2020 with Whole teams help. Thank you Jonas , Kevo and Mushisa and others from Almighty Kilimanjaro. With their completely support, encourage and commitment, my husband and me finally fulfill our dreams for this mountain. We are not well trained people to compare with others. And we continue to take the diamox. Even though my husband still vomit in the summit day. Luckily, our guide suggest us to buy the anti-vomit medicine. After take that medicine 30min , my husband conquered his body discomforted and continue to climb with our guide jona's encourage. Our guide Jonas and Kevo also helped us to carry our backpacks. Best views for the sunrise in the summit. Everything is worthy of that moment.
