11-Night Safari Through Kenya and Tanzania - The Dream Trip!
My wife and I traveled to Africa in September, 2020 and was hands down our favorite trip to date. We worked with Dexter in planning the trip and they were very accommodating to the changes we wanted to make. It was definitely a customizable safari as we made changes a few weeks before due to the COVID travel restrictions. Thanks for all the help, Dexter! When flying into Kenya, we had to have our negative COVID test, our e-visa, and we had to submit an application through a website link at the airport to get a QR code for the health authorities in Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi, we met Haron, our Kenyan guide, and from there traveled to our first stop, Amboseli. If you stay at Ol Tukai Lodge, be cautious of the baboons and monkeys. They roam the grounds and will try to take your things if you have anything hanging out of bags or anything shiny. We had a run in with a baboons that was scary in the moment, but laughable later. Just a word of precaution :) The lodge was amazing other than that run-in. That was the only incident the entire trip. Just run at the baboon or throw a rock if they start to approach you.
The accommodations that African Sunset Safaris selected for us were very nice. Great, clean, comfortable rooms, food selections were good (safe for American stomachs), and professional staff. Would highly recommend all of the lodges we stayed at. Wearing face masks was required at some of the lodges while walking around the lobby's and into dining areas, so they were taking the necessary precautions to keep guests safe. We were not required to wear a mask in the Land Cruise while on game drives or when traveling which was comfortable.
The safari game drives were incredible! Water was provided to us in our game vehicle over the duration of our trip. Haron was very knowledgeable of the animals in the parks, and we always felt safe in the vehicle and enjoyed learning about Haron and his country. The Mara region was our favorite. We did the Hot Air Balloon ride over the Mara at Sunrise and it was amazing. One of the best memories we've had on a trip. We did a boat ride at Lake Naivasha and saw the Hippos and a really cool eagle fly-by demonstration. In Nakuru, definitely do the additional game drive to see the Rhinos. This was the only park on our trip that had Rhinos. We saw a total of 7 and a baby. We also got to see the great migration crossing at the BBC crossing point in the Mara Triangle, so Cool!! Thousands of Wildebeest and Zebra crossing the River Mara.
After the Mara, we transitioned into Tanzania, where we meet our Tanzanian guide, Gideon. At the border we had to show negative COVID tests (didn't seem to care about the date), yellow fever cards (We didn't have them so we purchased them there - $30 each), and our Tanzanian e-Visa). After the boarder, Gideon was with us through the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, and to the aipoirt drop-off in Mt. Kili. Gideon's knowledge of the animals, and especially birds, was super cool to hear about. He got us in front of some really cool animal experiences with Leopard, Lion, and elephants - up close! I mean almost touching the Land Cruiser close! We loved this trip and are so grateful to Haron and Gideon for guiding us through the parks and all of their help and planning for the trip! We have told all of our family and friends that this is a must do trip and they need to book with African Sunset Safaris! I will post this review to trip advisor and have pictures as well.
Below I'll list the animals we saw and the lodges we stayed in:
Lodges (recommend them all!): Ol Tukai Lodge (Amboseli), Sawela Serena Lodge (Lake Naivasha), Lake Elementaita Tented Camp (Nakuru), Zebra Plains Tented Camp (Mara), Mara Serena Lodge (Mara Triangle), Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge (Serengeti), Ngorongoro Serena Lodge (Ngorongoro Crater), Sangaiwe Tented Lodge (Tarangire)
Animals Seen: Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Cheetah, Rhino, Hippo, Crocodile, Wildebeest, Zebra, Antelope, Hyena, Jackal, Many Birds, Cape Buffalo, Monkeys, Baboons, Eland, Giraffe, and probably others I can't remember! So many animals over the course of our game drives.

3 Day Safari
I can thoroughly recommend this experience to anyone that is looking to do a Safari. This was my first Safari and the 3 day trip to the Serengeti Np and the Ngorongoro crater was unforgettable. Our guide Douglas was very accommodating and his knowledge of the parks and the animals was incredible. He always made sure we were comfortable and I felt really lucky to have him on the trip. The campsites we stayed at were well equipped and had all the amenities we needed at a reasonable price. Overall, the experience was outstanding and I can’t thank everyone who made it so special enough.

Awesome safari experience!
For those looking for an all inclusive amazing adventure, look no further than Seven Wonders Safari in beautiful Tanzania. I recently finished a 7 day safari expedition and it exceeded my expectations. I’d first like to express my gratitude for the welcoming nature from ALL the people of Tanzania, I know we can’t leave a review for a country, but it deserves to be mentioned. I have never felt more comfortable and safe, especially coming from the US, lwhere COVID overtakes our daily lives.
I was greeted at the airport and taken to the main office for an overview of the safari. My guide Hooza was knowledgeable, friendly, and knew exactly where to go for the best safari experience. I was able to see everything on my list, knowing that there is never a guarantee to do so, all because of Hooza’s attention to his surroundings which made that possible. He would reference the parks as his office and I appreciated the humor!
Another detail worth mentioning is the delicious food served throughout the safari. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included and their chef Isaac serves the best food. It was exciting to see what he would prepare for every meal, not only did it taste amazing, the presentation was perfect! Considering it was served at campsites, I was impressed by the professionalism of the food preparation.
Overall, this was a fantastic introduction to the country of Tanzania and it was a pleasure to be guided by 7 Wonders Safari!

Amazing 7 days Tanzania safari despite these extraordinary times
First of all it was an amazing journey. If I have to describe with only one word the nature and wildlife оf Tanzania, it is magical. To the people of Tanzania a big reverence. This was my first safari and visit to Africa and it has been mind blowing. Every game drive is so different than the others. Lions, leopards, cheetah, giraffes, elephants, you will see them all and not only once. And yes they are just a few meters away. Due to Covid-19 pandemic I had to change flights believe it or not 10 times including refunds, vouchers and etc. I won’t lie I didn’t believe that this journey will happen till I get to the plane. But like often happens in life every effort worth it. A big thanks to African Sunset Safari and Haron for the perfect organization, despite these extraordinary times. We have to rearrange the trip a few times because of the flights changes. No problem at all. Very professional and no need of long explanations. Very good accomodation choice by Haron. Last but not least, our guide Gideon is the best guide in Tanzania. Thank you for everything Gideon, you are great. Don’t postpone your safari, this is the best time to travel as there are no tourists at all and the savannah is only for you. Well almost, and the animals of course. We have been driving for hours and rarely see other jeeps around. Traveling now is difficult, but not impossible, which makes it even sweater. And this is an irreplaceable support for the local people, who don’t loose hope that the next month will be better and tourists will come back. Again a big thanks to African Sunset Safaris and Haron.

The most amazing safari experience put together by two wonderful people!
An all together incredible organization. The entire trip was well thought out and put together. I felt very safe the entire time. The safari was wonderful and we saw a huge variety of wildlife. The guide was well educated and happy to answer any questions we had. Bud and Kimberly went above and beyond in terms of providing a great overall experience. If you're not already sold, portions of their profits go towards the higher level education for Kenyas future leaders today. Choose to support the kids and the future of Kenya! :) Highly recommend Mattaw Safaris!!

I really did enjoy our evening game drive yesterday organized by Samson's Safaris. Thanks Kimani!
From our morning calls to finally meeting Kimani at the main Park, he kept me well informed. His knowledge of the animals and the entire eco-system is very good, well informed! Thanks for the ride home.

Gosheni Safaris and Guide William are Excellent
We had a private 8 day Serengeti safari with Gosheni Safaris Africa and guide William - what a spectacular, excellent, and incredible experience. Gosheni had the best prices, itinerary, jeeps and guide - William - who is outstanding.
We toured many areas: Tarangire, Lake Natron, North Serengeti, Central Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara. With sharp eye William, we saw the Big 5: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. We saw thousands of wildebeest cross the Mara River, not just once, but twice. Saw hundreds of other animals including a live hurt wildebeest being attacked by a hyena. Thanks to owner, Peter, Gosheni safaris included fabulous accommodations - the finest glamping experience and great food. Besides the amazing game drives, we also toured a Maasai village, went on a hot air balloon ride, and canoed Lake Manyara. We will definitely return to Tanzania and request William of Gosheni Safaris!

Best memories ever
I've just returned from our first safari in Tanzania and have been blown away, eager to return! I'd never looked at safaris previously and Sweet Memory Adventure guided us every step of the way to helping identify what we really needed. No question was too small and the service was fantastic, exceeded only by how incredible the experience was on the safari itself - the game drives, the accommodation, the service and the food. Cannot recommend highly enough.

An absolutely amazing experience on an 8-day Safari in Kenya!
There is so much I could say about our trip to Africa and our experience with Antony at Tazama Africa Holidays in Kenya. I could go on for hours about how much I loved it, but if I had to sum it up into just one word…AMAZING is what comes to mind!! I went on a last minute trip to Kenya with my boyfriend in late Sep/early Oct 2020 (the midst of COVID times). I was nervous at first, but I could not have been happier, felt more safe, or enjoyed the company of our guide and the Kenyan people we interacted with more than I did. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget and a dream come true!
A trip like this starts with your guide. If you do not have a good guide, your trip will not be nearly as special, informative, or catered to your wants/needs. We started with an 8 day Safari to Amboseli, Naivasha, Nakuru, and Maasai Mara. Antony was our guide and truly went above and beyond to make our safari perfect. Antony is an expert Safari guide; he is able to find the animals you are most looking forward to seeing and get you to a spot where you can take breathtaking pictures, but more importantly, where you can feel like you are right there with the animals observing their natural behaviors (while also not disturbing them). He cares deeply about the animals and about our natural world. He is extremely knowledgeable about all of the animals you will encounter and we never stumped him with any of our many questions. We saw more than just the big 5, which is many peoples number one goal when on a Safari in Kenya. We saw every animal you can possibly imagine in this part of the world plus some that we didn’t even know existed! We saw lion cubs suckling from their mother, young zebras playing little games, baby elephants trying their hardest to feed on the grasses for their first time, a leopard dragging its kill up into a tall tree, 3 different species of giraffe, thousands and thousands of wildebeest beginning their migration across the Mara River, the 5 famous cheetahs you see in all of the nature documentaries (catching some shade from our car just a foot or two away from us), countless water buffalo, breathtaking sunrises/sunsets, and too many more extraordinary views to list here.
If you are considering a trip to Kenya with Tazama Africa Holidays, rest assured that you will be in good hands. Antony comes highly recommended by us and he will handle every detail of your trip so you can relax and enjoy the ride! My biggest recommendation would be to listen to Antony’s advice. We requested one lodge against the advice of Antony because we thought it would be a nicer place to stay for us. Turns out, he recommended a different lodge for good reasons and we should have just gone with his recommendation…it would have saved us a lot of time when venturing out for our game drive as the one he recommended was much closer to where we would be going.
