It was surreal totally amazing
5/5

I came across axis Africa safari while searching for an affordable safari tour as part of my planned vacation in Kenya. The staff, Lennox responded promptly and effectively with detailed itinerary and always ready to provide any further information He was able to schedule the tour with the very short notice and it was very smooth. They picked me up from where i stayed and I was very lucky to meet John, our tour guide who is very polite, approachable, knowledgeable attentive and respectful. He would explain everything you want to know about animals in the safari. We spent 3 days in Masai Mara and the camp we stayed Jambo Mara Safari Lodge was awesome. Very lovely rooms with good ambience, extremely warm and friendly staff and excellent food. It was surreal and I would definitely recommend you to try Axis Afica Safari and hope you will meet John.

Amazing experience
5/5

I did a 5-day safari (Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Naivasha + Hell's gate). It was amazing. My guide/driver was Francis and thanks to him, we were able to see the Big 5 and even cheetahs at least twice. We were 7 in the jeep, which can be challenging at some times, but Francis did his best to accommodate everyone of us to get the best view on the animals. The hotels in Lake Nakuru and Naivasha were very nice.

About: Uganda
Uganda is without doubt an experience you will never forget and never want too.

An overall wonderful experience filled with friendly helpful people, never forget wildlife and scenery which will leave you breathless. Whether it is the falls at Muchison NP, do the hike it is so worth it or the Chimps of Kibale or the Gorillas of Bwindi you will have memories to cherish for the rest of your life. Your greatest challenge will be trying to keep up. And that is only a glimpse of what could await you in this adventure.
Bring dollars in large bills ($50 or $100) as you get a better exchange rate for local currency. Charging can be challenging in the more remote lodges so bring power banks fully charged if you can. Always carry your passport as many parks will look for it or at least the number of it.
Always eat a good breakfast, you will need it!!!!! Bring a mask to see the chimps and the Gorillas, for their safety not yours!!! Enjoy lots of the local fruits, it is excellent. Buy Ugandan coffee, I did, and it is excellent.
Whether your thing is Elephants or Giraffes or Hippos or Lions you will see them all. I saw more butterflies that I have ever seen in the most beautiful colors and to many little birds to even count never mind name.
No matter your expectations you will not be disappointed.

Classic Journeys made our bucketlist trip to Africa amazing, safe, memorable and utterly luxurious!
5/5

Going to Africa on safari was on our "bucketlist and after the world shutdown with the pandemic, we decided to "carpe diem" our trip in 2022. After researching reputable safari agencies, we came upon Classic Journeys in a Forbes magazine article for responsible safari agents. We really like that Classic Journeys was headquartered in Kenya, so we can support the local economy instead of going with other agencies that are based in UK or France. Classic Journeys (Elvis) was always quick to respond to our requests/questions in the planning stage, and suggested a itinerary w/ our hit list along w/ parks that we didn't even consider (ex. Amboseli in Kenya was SO amazing and we're so glad Elvis put it on our trip). It was a significant $$ and a little scary to wire money upfront, but we trusted that Classic Journeys will honor their commitment.
And boy did they take care of us once we arrived in Africa! From ensuring that greeters/drivers are there to take care of us when there were flight delays/cancellations, all the places they booked for our journey was simply LUXURIOUS. Our personal guides in Kenya & Tanzania (Dixon & Stanley) really made sure we were safe at all times and were always prompt and available whenever we needed them. Not only did they showed/found the amazing wildlife out on safari, our guides were extremely knowledge about animals & other local experiences (presidential election, history of the area/country, even local banana beer :). Our animal encounters on safari were so frequent (multiple lion hunts, lion coupling, elephant herds, charging buffalos, lion cubs, cheetah cubs, and on on) that we really floored and pleasantly surprised by it all! While it was a significant amount $$, we feel like it was very much worth it to have the expertise and professionalism of Classic Journeys on our side.
