I Solo traveled to Kenya for a 6-day Safari with Marurumi, covering Masai Mara, Amboseli, &Lake Nakuru. I was very anxious when i started planning my trip as i had never been to Africa before. I did a lot of research and found "Marurumi Safaris". I had a lot of questions and the team was very friendly to answer all of them and made me feel comfortable. They were flexible to offer me a package based on my needs and offered me various options.
On the other hand. Lawrence (Lawrenzo), my guide was very friendly and informative. I am a photographer. So, i had to take a lot of pictures from various angles. Lawrence was very patient and made sure i got the best angles. He was definitely a best and very experienced guide.
Trip info (5 days): 2 days - Amboseli, 1 day - Lake Nakuru & 2 days Masai Mara with Hot-air balloon ride.
Package: Silver Accommodation - Amboseli sopa lodge, Lake Nakuru Sopa lodge (best one) & Mara Bush camp on a 4x4 Land cruiser
Overall, an amazing trip and i will definitely recommend it. Just book without having any second thoughts. You will not regret it.

We had the absolute pleasure of booking our trip to Rwanda through this wonderful husband-and-wife team, and it was truly an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Their customer service was exceptional. Anytime we had a question, they responded quickly with thoughtful and helpful answers, giving us complete confidence and peace of mind throughout the planning process. Once we arrived, everything exceeded expectations—each hotel and experience felt like it had been handpicked just for us. Levis was waiting for us at the airport and made us feel at home after full night and day of travel from the US. Daphne brought ideas to us that we would never have thought of since this was our first trip to Rwanda.
We were so amazed by the country and how exceptionally clean (seriously, not one piece of trash) and safe we felt the entire time, no matter what time of day we were out and about. The people of Rwanda are proud of their country and have come so far in 30 years. If you are thinking about Rwanda, don't hesitate - GO! The gorilla trekking was something that we will never forget!

A stressful, unsafe and unprofessional safari experience
We booked a safari with Milana Tours, paying USD 17,000 in advance for a complete package (5 people). Unfortunately, what should have been a dream trip became one of the most stressful and unsafe travel experiences of our lives.
For two full days we were pressured continuously for money. On one side, the driver was in tears, telling us he had not been paid by the agency. On the other side, the agency itself was contacting us, demanding USD 2,000 and later 2,500 in order for the trip to continue.
We were caught in the middle of these disputes, treated like bargaining chips instead of clients who had already paid in full.
The pressure was intense and frightening. While driving through remote parks, the agency made us feel unsafe in different ways, leaving us far from home with no alternative support.
Several activities also did not match the agreed itinerary, and we were faced with unexpected additional costs.
At one point, we were even asked to sign documents stating that the company would eventually pay the driver, which was absurd and unacceptable.
This ruined the last part of our safari. Instead of enjoying nature and feeling protected, we lived through fear, stress, and insecurity.
For the price we paid, we expected professionalism, safety, and reliability. Instead, we experienced extortion attempts, broken promises, and unethical practices.
I strongly recommend to avoid this company!

The Best Choice for an Authentic Safari Adventure
We had an amazing experience with RA Safaris in Tanzania and Kenya this summer. From the very beginning, the owner Zeph personally welcomed us at the airport, making us feel immediately at home.
During the 9 days tour we had two wonderful guides: Duncan, who accompanied us in Kenya, and Isa, who guided us in Tanzania. Both were extremely professional, attentive, and always available. They answered all our questions about wildlife and local culture with great knowledge, enriching every day with fascinating explanations and stories. They also knew the national parks inside out, including all the best routes and hidden trails to maximize our chances of spotting wildlife — and thanks to them, we had truly unforgettable encounters with nature.
Despite the long and bumpy roads, we always felt safe, well taken care of, and relaxed: from the accommodations to transfers, and of course the safaris, everything was perfectly organized. Thanks to them we were able to fully enjoy the breathtaking beauty of these countries, free of worries and with the certainty of being guided by reliable and passionate people.

I recommend you do not book!
I booked a 3-day safari with Msangai Safaris with my spouse, and unfortunately our experience fell far short of what was promised.
• Missed game drives: The first day had no proper game drive or lunch, and the second day was largely lost due to delays and the guide being absent for over 2.5 hours at Kogatende airstrip. The only meaningful game drive happened on the final morning, and only after concerns were raised directly with the company.
• Unsafe, unfit vehicle: The guide’s car was an old open model that repeatedly broke down, including a muffler failure that left us stuck on the road. At one point, we were taken to a garage during game drive hours.
• Professional concerns: The guide admitted he could not reliably manage the vehicle and attempted to borrow a relative’s car. There was minimal concern for safety or the quality of the safari experience.
• Broken promises: Binoculars that were confirmed in writing were never provided.
While lodges, flights, and the hot air balloon were delivered, the core safari experience — the main reason for booking — was significantly disrupted. The company issued a partial refund of USD 1,250, but this only covered a small portion of the losses.
Update: After posting the review, the owner asked us to remove it, claiming one bad experience shouldn’t reflect their company. This was our one and only experience — and it was severely disrupted. It’s important to leave this review so future travelers can make informed decisions.
Additionally, while the wildebeest migration was impressive, our car arrived last, we were stuck in the back, and the driver could not get us closer. The company’s marketing implies an “unforgettable safari experience,” but in reality, this was not delivered
