Professional, Informative, and Memorable
5/5

I don't even know how to put our experience into words. The entire process of booking our 3 day/2 night safari was amazingly stress-free. Muli made it easy to access him via emails and WhatsApp. Upon arrival to Nairobi, he picked us up from our hotel and we endured the 5 hour drive to Masai Mara. We were blown away by our lodging option and I'm glad I trusted his suggestions as to where we should stay. We stayed at the Mara Sarova Camp.

During our game drives, we saw all Big 5 as well as the great migration of the wildebeests and even a black rhino. Muli was so professional, informative, and funny. He knew his way around the park. We booked our safari with absolutely no expectations, but at the end we were extremely happy with the results. We can't thank Africa Celebrity Tours for making it a trip of a lifetime for us.

Amazing tour operator!!
5/5

We had an amazing trip that was organized by Fred through East African jungle safaris. They were so flexible and made our whole trip to Rwanda seamless and so enjoyable! Thanks for planning our trip of a lifetime!
It was so easy to communicate with Fred as well as our tour guide Boaz. We did a gorilla trek and golden monkey trek and spent a day at lake kivu. We had a fantastic trip, thank you EAJS!

Africano, our guide was excellent and Speke Uganda Holidays was exceptional in service and value!
5/5

From our arrival at Entebbe International Airport, we were greeted with warmth and kindness by the Speke Uganda Holidays staff. This was our first visit to the "Pearl of Africa" and our guide throughout the tour, Africano, offered us so much educational support in understanding the culture of the people and the beauty of the wildlife. We visited several savannas at National Parks (i..e. Queen Elizabeth, Lake Mburo, Murchinson's Falls) and two rainforests (Kibale and Bwindi) where we were able to see up close and personal the various animals that roam freely in their natural habitats. Africano provided us details about each animal and the ecosystems, and since we were primarily intrigued by the Chimps and Mountain Gorillas, we felt blessed to learn about his many years of working as a park ranger at Kibale. We also thoroughly enjoyed being able to eat at local restaurants while on the road and Africano went above and beyond to introduce us to a variety of regional cuisines and even one of the freshest "Rolex" (rolled eggs) breakfast treats along the way. The eco-lodges did their very best to provide reusable resources so we rarely saw a plastic bottle of water and even used cloth napkins at our meals. The places we stayed along the way either grew their own food (tours of the lodge's gardens is a hidden highlight!) or purchased food from local villages, and the food was over the top delicious every step of the way. I finally had a lifelong dream of experiencing gorilla and chimp trekking and Africano shared the populations of these endangered species is increasing (in part, thanks to a lull in tourism during the covid pandemic) due to ongoing conservation efforts. I highly recommend Speke Uganda Holidays and if you are a conservationist, an animal lover who wants to see these beautiful creatures somewhere beside a zoo or sanctuary, this is the place to visit and Speke Uganda Holidays is the tour company to hire.

Best bang for your money
5/5

Apodiformes is probably the best tour operator out in Kenya who can plan and execute your safari experience to the fullest satisfaction. Silas is on top of things all the time and he is available literally 24/7. When I had to upload my hotel reservation for getting the visa, I sent a Whatsapp message to Silas at what must have been 2AM Kenya time and within 10 minutes he sent a copy of my reservations in a pdf and jpg file. Excellent support. Silas was always checking in with us and was tireless in helping us plan. I probably talked to him and kept changing my itinerary as and when I got more information from my research and he never got upset or frustrated. I must have changed my itinerary and routes at least 8 times over the course of 2 months of planning and not once did his response and service quality dip.

He also helped us find the best possible locations to stay and places to cover within our budget. Apodiformes and Silas were able to accommodate us in a Private Safari, with a customized itinerary, all entrance fees included and at least 2 4*+ hotels and the rest in very good accommodations. He was also able to accommodate our dietary restrictions (Vegan and Vegetarian) at all places we stayed.

Coming to the actual safari experience - TV and Documentaries cannot do justice to what you will be experiencing. If you have a chance, ask for LOUIS as your tour guide. Louis was the best and knows all the good places where you can get to see the animals in all their glory and natural habitat. At Masai Mara within the first hour of our evening drive, he was able to get us up close and personal with 3 of the big 5 (Buffalo, Lion and Elephant) along with the usual Zebras, Giraffe etc. The next day we were able see the elusive leopard and he got us so close to the leopard that it was surreal. Louis knows all the ins and outs of the safari circuit and was able to fulfil all our requests (wife wanted to see flamingoes up close, daughter wanted to see a running cheethah and I wanted to see elephants crossing the road in front of us - Louis managed to fulfil all our requests, some multiple times over the course of the safari).

We still need to cover Northern Kenya and Tsavo reserves (both east and west) and we plan to be back in the near future. We will definitely be availing the services of Apodiformes, Silas and Louis.

My honest opinion - Go with Apodiformes and you can't go wrong!

It really was an amazing trip. The local people in Kenya are very enthusiastic. Kenya is also very beautiful, and Mount Kilimanjaro is particularly spectacular. And those animals, which are not at all different from the zoo, are very lively. The trip was perfect, here I have to mention Meektrails Safaris company and tour guide Eric, this company is very professional, Eric is also very kind, met all our requests, we saw all the animals! Thank you so much, this trip will be unforgettable.

We did a day safari at Mikumi Park and it was just awesome. I highly recommend having this once in a lifetime experience. I don't know if we were lucky or if it's still the case but we saw lions a few times. The meal was also very good. It was a great day. We were in a car with 4 other French people, so our guide spoke French and he was great. Very interesting, he taught us a lot of things!

About: Mazingira
Very friendly and professional communication and fair pricing.
5/5

We contacted Mazingira via Email due to the very good recommendations. We received feedback very soon with a very good offer for a safari. The contact with Johari was very friendly, answering all questions and giving good advices. We paid in advance and did not feel uncomfortable at all, since we received all necessary receipts right away. The tour was organized very good. Compared to other tour guide, David was behaving very fair when it cam to game watching and it was crowded due to other cars. He explained a lot to us.

The tour operator was amazing and I can recommend her any day.

I travelled with my family to Masai Mara and I can say we all loved the trip; she booked us with the hotel, organised with the tour driver to pick us at home because we had so much luggage and this was very convenient for us and when we got to Masai Mara she called us often asking about our experience.
I'd say she is very reliable and we enjoyed our tour. We definitely got value for our money

Unforgettable experience in Rwanda and Uganda
5/5

My friend and I recently completed an 18 day private trip through Rwanda and Uganda with Grassrootz and would highly recommend them. Zander planned a very thorough trip, including a wide mix of parks, scenery and cultural activities. Our driver/guide Barnice was excellent and tried to make the whole experience interesting, educational and fun. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He was fantastic at spotting wildlife and we saw lots of birds and animals, including the big 5. The highlights of our trip though was seeing the amazing mountain gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda, the chimpanzees in Kibale Forest NP and the golden monkeys in the Volcanoes NP in Rwanda. The lodges and camps we stayed in were mid range and all had electricity and hot water; some even had swimming pools! The staff at all these places were very friendly and helpful. We travelled quite a distance in the 18 days, over some dreadful roads and always felt safe due to the care and professionalism of Barnice. His attention to detail helped make our trip a wonderful success. Thank you Barnice and Grassrootz!
