Our family had an incredible safari experience in Kenya with Viega Expeditions, and we could not rate them more highly.
A massive thank you to Rodgers, whose communication with me and planning of our itinerary even before we arrived in Kenya ensured for a seamless experience. He made sure that everything is communicated properly and took the entire ownership himself and he was reachable anytime I wanted irrespective of the hours.
On our first day, our tour was laid out to us clearly by Rodgers, whose friendliness, professionalism and attention to detail made the whole experience stress-free.
Our safari tour guide, Thomas, was truly exceptional. His knowledge and passion for the wildlife in both Amboseli and Masai Mara made every game drive memorable, as he shared fascinating insights that made each sighting so special. His excellent spotting skills ensured that we were able to spot the Big Five, as well as come out of the national parks with a new love for animals and conservation. Thomas is a very lovely person and he always wanted to give us the best and made the entire experience more special and enjoyable.

Excellence in every moment
The tour was excellent. We did a 6 day private tour. Everything was as planned and we had no issues in the whole tour. The hotels were very good. The car was in excellent conditions. Our guide, Stanley, the best! He knew a lot about animals, he took the time to explain every animal in detail and he cares a lot about them. He also managed to look for the big 5 and the great migration, which he succeeded! I recommend this company and ask for Stanley as a guide!

Our Maasai Mara safari was exceptionally well organized from start to finish. The team was professional, friendly, and always ready to help. The guide was knowledgeable, punctual, and made sure we had the best possible wildlife viewing experience. Transportation, accommodation arrangements, and overall coordination were excellent. We felt safe, comfortable, and well taken care of throughout the trip. Kind and helpful
Daisy from Bonfire was extremely helpful! She was very available, especially when I was planning from a different timezone and responded to my questions. The organization for the safari was also great. I stayed at the Ol-Moron tented camp and the staff were lovely, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the safari drives were amazing. Highly recommend!

Amazing Safari Experience
This truly was a trip of a lifetime with Lion King Adventures. One of the most important things for your trip will be your Safari Guide and we could not have asked for anyone better than John. With him we were able to see the Big 5, the Ugly 5, the Great Migration, Migration Crossing at the Mara River, and so much more. We visited Tarangire, Central and Northern Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and lastly Lake Manyara. John was always willing to take pictures with us and really worked hard to make sure we were always safe and happy. One very important thing was seeing how friendly John was with the other Safari drivers - he always greeted others kindly and it was great to see him very willing to help another guide/group in need and it just as great to receive help and friendliness from other guides/groups as well. It really enhanced our experience having a guide with such a good heart. (Special shout out to Paul with Matoke Tours and Benjamin with Lion King Adventures for their kindness)
Lion King Adventures has it's own accommodations in Central Serengeti called "Nyota Serengeti" (which means Serengeti Star, btw) and one of our very few regrets was not staying here longer. Nyota truly felt like a luxury in the middle of the Serengeti - we had running hot water, amazing meals, wifi (about as good as you can expect being so remote), a pool, a spacious room, indoor/outdoor shower, a deck and also you can (sometimes) very clearly hear lions and hyenas very nearby. The staff there were the nicest of all of our accommodations the whole trip. Our friend Isaya escorted us to and from our tent each morning and night, armed with the necessary equipment to keep predators away.
I was very interested in learning as much Swahili as I could while I was there and John very kindly helped me with this goal - he always would find interesting words or phrases that I could learn that were related to Safari and he was such a friendly teacher to also encourage me to use the new words. It was such a short time there but it felt so much longer and we didn't want it to end; we are legitimately so sad for the trip to be over. This will certainly not be the last time we visit Tanzania. We love this country and will miss Tanzania, the Senrengeti, and our brother and friend, John.

Excellent service, communication and reliability!
We booked an incredible family trip to Kenya, bringing together three generations for what we hoped would be the holiday of a lifetime. Our goal was to ensure that everyone was well looked after and could enjoy the experience, and it truly exceeded all our expectations.
Linus, our tour operator, was outstanding from start to finish. He took the time to understand our needs, budget, and preferences, and put together a fantastic itinerary with carefully selected accommodation and the perfect trip duration. He was incredibly flexible and responsive throughout the planning process.
Every aspect of the trip was seamlessly organised, including transportation, park entrance fees, accommodation, and additional activities. Everything ran smoothly and exceeded our expectations. We felt safe and well supported throughout our time in Kenya, and Linus regularly checked in to ensure we had arrived safely at each destination and were enjoying our experience.
We greatly appreciated not only his expertise in planning our holiday but also his excellent communication, guidance, and personal attention throughout the journey. This was truly a five-star experience, and I cannot recommend Linus and the Personalised Tours and Safaris team highly enough.

SO, YOU HAVE A DREAM TO EXPERIENCE AN AFRICAN SAFARI?
An African Safari is typically on everyone’s bucket list of travel adventures. It usually involves long flights to a country you have never been to where you are not certain of what you will find when you get there, and it is going to be costly to do it. What if you get it wrong?
So, choosing a travel partner when there are so many to pick from can be a real challenge. Who can you trust to deliver the experience you want at a price you can afford so you go home with magical memories and the pictures or video footage to prove it?
A bit of personal background – I am a 63-year-old, well-educated and well-travelled gay man who has stage 4 metastatic terminal prostate cancer. On top of that, I have a degenerative problem with my left knee. I am a solo traveller determined to experience an African adventure before I die.
With the help of Google, I selected 3 African adventure tour operators for a quote and first to respond was ‘Go Touch Down Travel & Tours’. The others responded soon after.
Despite the quirky name, what stood out for me was their willingness to tailor an adventure to suit me and at a price I could afford. In addition, it was the immediate response I received to questions and follow-up phone calls at times that best suited me regardless of the time in Africa. I received one-on-one attention by a person with genuine passion to deliver my dream adventure. From the moment I booked my trip to the day I arrived through to the day I left, I was in very capable hands.
The accommodation was great, the food exceptional, and the expert knowledge of the rangers was incredible.
To my surprise I met the actual owners of the company; even more surprising is the fact they knew me by name. That's because they are hands-on, so do not be surprised to find them at the lodge where you are staying.
Best of all, you will share your adventure with amazing people from all over the world.
