Very well organized 10 days safari in Kenya+Tanzania
5/5

Our family of 2 adults and 3 kids (11-16 years old) did 10 days safari in Kenya and Tanzania. It was the first time in Africa for us and we were a bit anxious before the trip.

Preparation with Noah Kuti and reservation went very smoothly. On arrival we were met and transferred to a hotel. Next morning we were picked on time and started 10 days tour to lake naivahsa/ masai mara /serengeti /ngorongoro /tarangeri /amboseli national parks. The lake navasha probably could be skipped or replaced by the lake bogoria as flamingos have left it.

Our guides were Michel/Hamza/Rashid. All were very responsive, friendly and with a 6th sense to spot animals. Cars were well equipped and spacious - had enough space for us and for our luggage. We saw a big five - elephant, black rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard - from a very close and many other animals including a cheetah and a python. We saw wildebeest crossing mara river. Hippos, wildebeests and crocodiles - everything was there; like on TV :)

Days were very intensive from 7:00/8:00 in the morning to 18:00 in the afternoon. We did many options: boat trip in lake nakuru, visited masai village (which was a very special experience on itself), visited ngorongoro farm house / coffee plantation (please ask for a guide - Babadingi), night safari.

Kids got tired to the second half of safari, but it was worth.

Everything was perfectly organized by the company and 100% delivered.
Definitively recommend.

Once in a lifetime experience
5/5

I believe that this safari is great value for money. Our tour manager, Magdalene took wonderful care of us whilst booking our safari via e-mails. She replied to all our questions and provided the necessary information. She even communicated with us via Whatsapp on the day of the safari. Edward, our driver, was one of a kind. He drove fast but attentively. Not a man of many words but he really did his best to show us the beautiful Masai Mara. We were lucky enough to see ALL of the big five. We were ecstatic. He explained all the kinds of animals that we saw; waited patiently whilst we took a million photos, planned the game drive times with us etc. - we really appreciated his efforts.
Rhino camp was a very basic camp. William changed our camp after realising that there was a broken window in the shower. Beware of the monkeys! Zip the camps at all times. Electricity is available early in the morning (5-7) and in the evening (6-10) which makes sense since there is natural sunlight and most of the people are out for game drives during the rest of the time. We were impressed that hot water was also available. Food was simple but good.
Overall a very very satisfying and enjoyable experience. Keep up the good service. Will definitely recommend.

Nice driver and an awesome trip!
5/5

The communication with Karibu Safari was too easy. I communicated with Robbert by email and evean by whatsapp and he answered always very fast. When we arrived to Kenya, Arony, our dirver, picked up us very punctual and the service was really good. He was a serious guy, very good driver, always ready to answer our questions and to help with anyrhing we needed. The safari was awesome, we saw the big five quite close enough, we evean saw species difficult to be seen. Arony knew a lot about animals and each time we asked something, he answered to our doubts. It was a pleasure to share with him such an adventure!

Well organized, comfortable camping and passionate staff
5/5

Robert heads up the Nairobi office and was extremely responsive over email. I had very specific questions around price and timing and he was able to accommodate. While in safari I was able to reach Robert on Whatsapp as while the driver is 110% focused on giving you the best game drive, he may not know every individuals' travel itinerary. My driver, Aruuni, was a very no nonsense expert and skipped the small stuff to focus on unforgettable memories of rare jaw-dropping animals. He has a lot of animal and Kenyan knowledge. He did an amazing job avoiding traffic and keeping the ride as non bumpy as possible (difficult on remote Kenyan roads). I was well briefed on the weather changes, variations in types of accommodation (basic hotels versus camping and what linens were or weren't needed). Upon return another staff member, Dan, was key to helping me enjoy my remaining time in Nairobi and set up drivers, day tour suggestions and transfers. Karibu also organized Tanzanian safaris, through Tanzanian company and communication between all three parties (myself, Karibu, TZ company) could have been improved. Robert did his best but it's always hard when he is responsible for my transaction but has little influence on how the Tanzanian part of the purchase plays out (solely managed by TZ company).

Wonderful safari!
5/5

Just returned from safari. Had a wonderful experience. I booked online and was nervous because I did not know anything about safaris but all of my inquiries were answered promptly and in detail. My safari guide was awesome and adaptable. I asked for some changes during the tour and he was gracious and accommodating. Overall had a fabulous safari.

Flexibility and kind responses to our problem
5/5

We planned to be on safari in Kenya/Tanzania this September. David Waweru from Frates helped us craft the exact tour we wanted, with an eye to keeping costs down. He was most helpful and flexible even as our dates and numbers changed. Unfortunately, over this summer, I learned I had cancer that required surgery and chemotherapy, so that I would not be able to travel out of country. David helped us get almost all of our deposits returned quickly and without a huge amount of paperwork. I am very grateful to him for all his help and would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to create a tailor-made safari experience.

Amazing trip in Kenya!
5/5

We had a 10-day trip in Kenya. From Samburu to Masai Mara. Jane answered tons of emails before the trip and took care of everything. Our driver Naftali found the big five and the special five for us, which made our trip perfect. It seems that he could find all the animals we want to see. He also adjust our lodge to make the trip going smoothly. My friend received several bottles of wine as honeymoon gift. Most of the lodge and tented camp is perfect. We also tried a budget camp at Lake Naivasha, which is also an unforgettable experience.
Jane picked us up at the airport, helped us send the postcard and paid the beer for our last meal. We miss them so much.

Excellent service made my safari experience a truly memorable one, exceeding my best expectations!!!
5/5

From the start Patricia, at the office, was very helpful with suggestions about planning the safari tour with regards to visiting different terrains and landscapes, safety and health issues as well as choice of accommodations and payment issues. Elliot and Johnson gave us a warm welcome on our arrival and made it very easy and straight forward to settle into the tour. Patrick, our personal guide, made the remainder of the tour an exceptional experience! He was always on the alert to see to our comfort and needs both during the long drives and at our accommodations, all of which were of excellent standard! Patrick is so knowledgeable about the abundant wildlife and the country's culture we witnessed on the tour ... it really was a tremendous learning experience!! It was very obvious that Patrick has a passion for wildlife and that he aims at giving his clients his super best!! Patrick is also very patient and stopped on request for the hundreds of photos we took :) He got to know us well enough to suggest places to visit which might interest us, like the elephant orphanage, the giraffe sanctuary and the hand-made bead factory, and he actually got us there on time in spite of the heavy traffic we encountered ...he has excellent driving skills!!
In a nutshell..... the experience by far exceeded my expectations and this is definitely due to the superb service offered by the Travel for Change team ..... they are tops in their line of work and highly trustworthy ...highly recommendable :) They made it an experience of a lifetime!!! thank you
