Exceeded our Expectations!
5/5

We were two couples from Australia, keen photographers, travelling for 15 days through Kenya and Tanzania. Right from the beginning, Chris (who has now left SofA) tailored a tour to our liking, with responses and communication prompt and easy to understand. After a rest day in Nairobi, Philip picked us up for our first few days in Kenya, travelling to Lake Naivasha, then three wonderful days in Maasai Mara. The vehicle had all we wanted, the accommodation and meals were beyond my expectation, and the animal sightings were incredible! We then crossed the border to Tanzania where we met our next guide/driver, Zamo. Another three nights in the Serengeti where we stayed at the Melia Serengeti Lodge (I highly recommend!) with safaris each day, seeing leopards, wilderbeest, zebras, cheetah, lions, impala, black backed jackal, gazelle, birds.....you name it! From here we travelled to the world famous Ngorongoro Crater for a day and night, seeing elephants, black rhino, cerval cat, flamingoes, hyenas, grey crowned cranes etc. Another two nights at Lake Manyara and safari through Tarangire reserve with heaps of elephants and the boabab trees. Lake Eyasi was a real surprise, and we spent a day with the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes which was really interesting. Another night in Arusha, then back across the border to Philip, and on to 3 days in Amboseli. As amatuer photograpers, we were over the moon to get shots of elephant in front of Mt Kilimanjaro, leopard in a tree, lion in a tree, cerval cat, grey crowned cranes, and this was mainly in part to the expertise and knowledge of Zamo and Philip! We had great service, the locals were really friendly and helpful, the Lodges and food were exceptional, we saw so much, and I believe the cost was real value for money. I would not hesitate to recommend Shadows of Africa!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unforgettable Ugandan Adventure with Wagatils Safari! 🇺🇬

From start to finish, our experience with Wagatils Safari was absolutely incredible! Martin and his amazing team went above and beyond to make every moment special — their passion, organisation and care truly made this trip one to remember.

A huge shoutout to Rowland, our awesome driver, who navigated every road with skill, patience and humour — always with a smile and endless local knowledge. Team Adams and Ed were fantastic too, full of energy and always there to lend a hand.

The rangers and gorilla trekking guides were simply phenomenal — calm, knowledgeable and supportive every step of the way. I honestly couldn’t have completed the trek without their encouragement and expertise.

Every detail was taken care of, from the sunrise safaris to the mountain drives, making this journey through Uganda a dream come true. Thank you Martin and everyone at Wagatils Safari for creating memories that will stay with me forever 💚

Fantastic! The tour guide was very nice, and the local tour operator staff were also very helpful and patient in booking our tickets to Mombasa. Five
5/5

I was very satisfied and happy with the trip. Although the journey was a bit long and tedious, seeing herds of zebras and elephants made it all worthwhile. The guide was a very nice person who led us to find animals, and we saw a lot of them. He also explained a lot along the way, even though we couldn't understand what he said, but he was very responsible.

4 day safari experience in Tanzania with Kibo Mawenzi Safaris was wonderful & we were very satisfied
5/5

Our 4 day journey in Tanzania was one of our favorite journey. We explored Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara.
For the first 2 days we explored Serengeti National Park, we watched in the Serengeti or the elephants wandering near our vehicle. Our stay was very romantic with luxurious camp, We were lucky to see the great migration of thousands of wildebeest and zebras sweep across the Serengeti plains was pure adrenaline. Then Ngorongoro Crater fascinated them- especially spotting rhinos through binoculars. The guides were patient and great informar. Lake Manyara was a delightful surprise. Manyara may be very peaceful and the charm is unforgettable.

Nice guy
5/5

I joined a 3-day, 2-night private tour in the Maasai Mara.
Our guide, Daniel, was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about animals. He was amazing at spotting even distant wildlife.
During the game drives, we were able to see many animals up close—it was an incredible experience.
We also added the optional balloon safari and Maasai village visit, and both were well worth the price.
It was a truly satisfying tour, and I highly recommend it!

Valuable experience at a fair price
5/5

I found Nhlalala Travel researching Kruger Safari Tours on the web.
I sent an email to several operators asking for information.
Norman (founder and owner) sent me a very detailed answer about offers, prices and conditions.
I decided to place my bet on Nhlalala Travel not only because of good reviewes, but mainly because Norman supported our needs and I found his offer a fair compromise in terms of quality and price.

Our experience consisted in a 3 days of Safari in Kruger Park (end of October 2025), including private transfer from / to Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport.
At the first day Loyd picked us up in a sedan car directly at the hotel near the Airport around 7.30 a.m. and drove us to Kruger Gate Hotel (we checked-in about 2 p.m.). We had a couple of hours to relax before Safari sunset drive at 4 p.m. . I really recommend Kruger Gate Hotel, it is a bit more expensive, but it is worth your money: it is located just outside Kruger Park, next to the main entrance (Paul Kruger Gate), rooms are nice and clean, the environment is typical, it offers good services (such as zero-edge pool with observation desk and pool bar), it includes dinner (served buffet style, but variety and quality are good, drinks not included) and breakfast.
Second day we started a full day private Safari (on a shared vehicles, we were a dozen of visitors on it), at 5 a.m., until 3 p.m. . Early morning is the best moment of the day to see animals (there is light and the temperature is not so high). Our guide Roger was very experienced, knowledgeable, and available in satisfying our requests: we saw a lot of animals very close (elephants, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, hawks, eagles, wild-dogs, leopard, hippos, hyenas... and of course baboons, a lot of antelope species; unfortunately no lions, no rhinos, but we couldn't pretend to see them all in a single day).
Third day Loyd picked us up at Kruger Gate Hotel after breakfast at 8 a.m. . Again, this was a private transfer in a sedan car. We travelled the panoramic route, that passes through God's Window, the Three Rondavels and blyde River Canyon: the duration is a bit longer, but landscapes are amazing. We arrived in Johannesburg about 6 p.m., directly at the hotel.

We spent about 800€ p.p. , that seemed a relevant amount at the time I reserved, but after the experience I can say it is a fair deal: we had two private transfers in a nice car from / to our hotel in Johannesburg (close to OR Tambo Airport), we spent 2 nights in a beautiful 4-stars Hotel just outside Kruger Park with breakfast and dinner included, we had a sunset Safari (3 hours) on a shared vehicle and a full day private Safari (9 hours) with a dedicated guide, we came back through the panoramic route (entrance tickets to panoramic spots included).
Norman was very clear and professional in all steps of reservation process: I paid 35% in advance when placing the booking, then the balance due (65%) just 72h before the trip (payments done through payfast link).

In the end, I absolutely recommend Nhlalala Travel.
Again, great thanks to Norman, Loyd and Roger who took good care of us: we really enjoyed the experience.
Keep up the great job!

Edoardo & Monica
